Hotels With Breakfast in Western Cape, South Africa

The room looked a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. However, in the last 2 nights of my stay, the key card somehow did not register me as a guest which resulted in me having to go down to the reception to reactivate the card which was inconvenient, especially since I had already booked these 2 nights. Please also note that the hotel takes a deposit of 200 rands per night and it should be paid in cash which was a bummer since Cape Town was the last stop in my trip and I didn't have that much cash anymore and I won't want to withdraw just for this. Unfortunately, it seems that cash is the only way to go since other payment methods will result in losses. I ended up using my credit card to pay this deposit where they charged my card instead of placing a hold. When I checked out, they asked for all my card details including CVV to process the refund. Unfortunately, a month later, I still did not receive a refund on my card. It took another month before I got the refund via bank transfer. To my horror, I received 32% less because this was charged by the hotel's bank. The hotel stated that the hotel does not bear the transfer cost and claimed that my card did not work when they attempted to refund. However, the attempt to refund to my card was never mentioned in my e-mail correspondences. In conclusion, the hotel room is generally pleasant to stay in but avoid using your card to pay the deposit to avoid the above problems.

Perfect location for sightseeing. Numerous restaurants nearby. Downside was traffic noise from street. Enjoyed our stay. Staff were really helpful and accommodating. Would return

Loved the breakfast — the food was honestly perfect! The rooms have a classy feel, especially if you manage to get one with a good view. That said, the bathrooms could really use better ventilation, and the location isn’t the most convenient if you like being close to malls or shopping areas.

It’s ok. Disappointed at the lack of a free shuttle service as that’s kind of the whole point of an airport hotel. The area is very dodgy. You get in and stay in until your flight.  The gas station next door has some snacks at least.

The hotel’s location was very convenient and central to everything we wanted to do, which made getting around easy. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the rooms were well maintained. I appreciated that the sheets were changed daily, although housekeeping did not sweep the floors every day. One concern was the corridor, which sometimes smelled like **** and trash, and this occasionally made me feel a bit unsafe. This could also be because I am not familiar with the surrounding environment. The gym is very small. Overall, the hotel itself was pleasant, and the staff provided good service, but improvements to cleanliness and hallway maintenance would make the experience even better.

Basic hotel but very expensive. I wasn’t expecting the room to be that standard, no bathtub, no bathrooes, amenities 3/10. No swimming pool, but the website is showing that they do have a swimming pool. Please do not stay here. Also the staff weren’t that good. Loved the rooftop restaurant/ bar but their menu is limited.

My wife and I recently escaped to Arendsrus for a quick breakaway, and it was absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a place that feels ”off-the-grid” and immersed in nature without sacrificing luxury, this is it. The setting at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains is spectacular. The wooden chalets offer a sense of total privacy and a ”wilderness” vibe that immediately makes you forget the hustle of daily life. The attention to detail is top-notch, especially the 800-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets—it’s clear the hosts care deeply about guest comfort. The absolute highlight of our stay was the a la carte breakfast served directly to our room. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and allowed us to enjoy a slow morning soaking in the views from our balcony in total peace. The hospitality was warm and genuine, and the entire atmosphere is one of tranquility and refined rustic charm. It truly is a hidden gem on the Garden Route. We left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to go back!

My recent stay at Pullman Cape Town was overall very pleasant. The hotel itself is modern, well-maintained, and conveniently located in the heart of the city. The lounge area is a real highlight stylish, comfortable, and offering an excellent selection of wines that showcase some great South African labels. It’s a perfect spot to unwind after a long day exploring the city. The front desk and reception staff were outstanding friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the stay. However, this high standard of service doesn’t quite carry through to the restaurants. Service there can be inconsistent, with some staff being great while others seem a bit disengaged. Breakfast was the most underwhelming part quite average with a limited selection, especially compared to the overall standard of the hotel. It’s functional but not memorable. On the plus side, the property offers free parking, which is a big advantage in central Cape Town, though it’s worth noting there’s no valet service. Overall, Pullman Cape Town delivers a comfortable and upscale stay with great hospitality at the front desk, an elegant lounge, and excellent wines just don’t expect the same polish at breakfast.

Reception and room services were great. Room was just as shown in a picture. We had no issues and would possible visit again next year.
