The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe.
The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Room: The treehouse slide room was a huge hit with our little one. As soon as we entered, they were climbing up and sliding down non-stop, burning off so much energy! When it was time to check out, they kept asking to stay another night.
Dining: The Chinese restaurant is recommended; the food was good, and the prices were quite reasonable for a five-star hotel. The buffet restaurant on weekend mornings was very crowded, requiring a wait. It would be great if they could address the capacity issue during peak hours.
Hot Springs: The Tang Le Palace hot spring complex has many pools of various sizes, and they were quite clean. Both our child and we had a great time soaking and playing. We went on a weekend, and while it was busy, it didn't feel uncomfortably crowded, unlike some other hot springs that feel like a 'dumpling bath'.

This was my partner and my first time vacationing in Miyun, and also our first stay at the Hylla Hotel. The entire trip far exceeded our expectations; it was truly wonderful!
I have to specially commend our dedicated concierge, Golden Key Ethan. Before we even arrived, he proactively added us on WeChat to connect, showing incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Knowing we wanted to relax and recuperate, he took the initiative to pre-book Ayurvedic treatments and singing bowl sessions for us at the wellness center. He also thoroughly explained all of the hotel's unique offerings, such as the hillside hot springs, the gymnasium, and the mountain hiking trails, clearly outlining the duration of each activity and any booking注意事项 (important notes). We didn't have to worry about a thing.
Throughout our stay, he was incredibly responsive, answering any small questions we had almost instantly. He's reliable, patient, and warm. I later learned he's a professional 'Golden Key' concierge, and his professionalism was evident—it’s rare to find such a dedicated and caring service person.
The hotel itself is also outstanding. Tucked away on the hillside, the air is fresh and quiet, with negative oxygen ions reaching 9000! The 12 forest hot springs create an amazing ambiance, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich, far surpassing the quality of a five-star hotel in the city. There’s also a huge kids’ play area, with facilities that cater to both adult relaxation and children's fun.
This time it was just my partner and me enjoying a relaxing getaway, and we are completely smitten. We'll definitely bring our daughter and the whole family next time, and we'll certainly ask concierge Ethan to arrange our itinerary again! Plus, there's a private indoor hot spring in the room, which is free and quite nice. The hotel breakfast is pretty average, with the variety and taste on par with a 3-star hotel in the city center. Pros:
1. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance to Simatai Great Wall. It's easy to access the Wall for hiking, and you can also enjoy views of it from the second floor of the room. The Wall is visible in the distance from the window, making it a secluded retreat away from the hustle and bustle.
2. The hotel offers excellent service. Housekeeping is prompt, and the staff are attentive and welcoming.
3. The duplex suite A is very spacious, perfect for families with elderly members and children. Kids, especially, will love rolling and crawling on the tatami mat.
4. Slippers and bath towels are replaced daily, and complimentary fruit is provided every day.
5. After checking out, I left my headphones in the room. The hotel proactively contacted me and arranged for them to be couriered to me, which I truly appreciate.
Cons:
1. The room is very inconvenient for elderly guests with mobility issues. The main bed is on the second floor, making it difficult for them to go up and down. The first floor has a tatami mat, which makes it hard for elderly guests to get up and lie down. If they need to get up at night, they would definitely need assistance.
2. While the room is large, whether the Japanese wabi-sabi style truly suits Chinese guests, especially for a hotel charging 5,000 yuan per night, is a question that needs consideration. The wabi-sabi aesthetic often translates to very sparse furnishings: no comfortable sofas, no bedside tables, no bedside lamps, and certainly no central control panel for all lights and appliances. The tatami mat essentially means sleeping on the floor with a low table, making it very inconvenient and challenging to get up, sit down, or place and retrieve items, which clashes with Chinese living habits.
3. The private hot spring bath in the room only has one switch for hot water, making it impossible to adjust the temperature. Its size is also awkward; it's fine for one person, but feels cramped for two. For a room type designed for six people, such a small bath is quite inconvenient. Furthermore, the inner wall of the bath is made of solid wood, raising concerns about hygiene.
4. The smart toilet was broken and remained unrepaired even after reporting it.
5. The two bedrooms on the second floor, designed to accommodate at least four people, share a single small bathroom, which is a very impractical design.
Additionally, the entire Gubei Water Town is not suitable for elderly visitors with mobility issues, especially those in wheelchairs. The flagstone paths are very uneven, and there are many steps, which would make a wheelchair ride extremely bumpy and uncomfortable.FromPKR 63,286

Although the decor is a bit dated, the environment is comfortable and clean, which is good. I was initially worried about a smell after reading reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised upon check-in – there was no odor at all (I'm quite sensitive to smells). It was worth all the effort I put into carefully selecting this hotel. From the front desk service when we arrived to the cleaning staff, everyone was excellent, enthusiastic, and proactive. The front desk helped us arrange tickets for the Temple of Heaven, explained the check-in procedures clearly, and reminded us that toiletries needed to be requested. Since I hadn't brought any, they immediately provided a set, and the children's items were delivered to the room. My child was thrilled to use the hotel's special toothbrushes and slippers. Across the street from the hotel entrance, there are hot pot restaurants, a supermarket, and a bus stop, making it very convenient. It's also super easy to go watch the flag raising ceremony; just head west from the hotel entrance, past two traffic lights, and it's about a 15-minute walk. Honestly, the experience was quite disappointing! Nearly 1000 RMB a night for this hotel felt like poor value. The room was a bit old and had an odd smell, the air didn't feel fresh. What I couldn't stand the most was the construction site drilling outside starting at 6 AM, and the hotel didn't even provide earplugs. There was no bottled water, and they told me to drink from the direct-drinking machine in the bathroom, but they didn't provide disposable cups – most people barely use hotel glasses these days anyway. All in all, I was quite disappointed and won't be staying again. And if you order takeout, you have to go down to the first floor to pick it up yourself. After looking at many hotels, I finally settled on this one. Choosing a hotel for a trip is often a headache, and personally, I prioritize soundproofing. However, for this trip to Beijing, I focused more on transportation convenience, so I booked this place from the start. I did anticipate that the soundproofing and cleanliness might not be great.
Upon checking in, the front desk kindly upgraded me to a deluxe twin room for free. Surprisingly, the air conditioning and refrigerator in the room were very quiet, and the overall soundproofing was quite good. Coupled with the convenience of transportation – being able to walk to Tiananmen Square and having many restaurants nearby within walking distance, plus a subway station right downstairs – it's a recommended place for Beijing tourists who walk tens of thousands of steps a day.
There were a few drawbacks, though. For example, the toilet seemed quite old, with insufficient flushing power, which needs improvement. Also, the hotel doesn't have laundry facilities. The room's balcony gets plenty of sunlight, so I'd suggest adding a floor-standing drying rack.FromPKR 20,157

The hotel was in a great central location. We loved the smart controls in the room which help with lighting and opening the curtains from the bedside. The rooms only downsides were a funny smell specific to our room from behind the fridge and the bathroom door which stuck so hard it needed to be pulled shut and made a lid noise when doing so, some oil should resolve this!
Unfortunately when we arrived at 4:15pm from London our room was not ready which was very disappointing after a long trip. We had to wait another hour and go into the city to kill the time.
Also everyone should note this hotel has one lift and no stairs, for a hotel with this many rooms this is simply not good enough. The staff use the same lift as does the cute delivery robot. This meant we spent way too much of our time existing for the elevator to down and up. Given we were on the floor above reception this would have been unnecessary if the stairs were accessible. This was a major issue for us and was the only thing that spoiled the stay.

This is my second time staying at Peace Hotel, first time was in 2017. This time we stayed at the newer West Wing. We initially had only planned to stay one night but decided to extend our stay and stayed 5 nights this visit. The hotel gave us a voucher for complimentary art workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and so did my nieces. Location of the hotel is perfect, within walking distance to few subway stations and just one block away from downtown commercial shopping. Staff are friendly, great breakfast selection, rooms are, clean and spacious. The housekeeping staff are very polite and friendly, they are constantly maintaining the cleanliness and tidyness of the space. We did not get a chance to use the pool, as the day goes by it gets pretty busy with kids, swimming cap is mandatory and can be purchased from the gym trainers. The laundry room was convenient (3 washer, 3 dryer), detergent supplied, but the dryer takes a long time to fully dry so we ended up airing our clothes in our suite.
