We had such a fantastic time bringing our child to the Le Du Port Marriott this trip! My child was participating in a robotics competition, and after adding the hotel's butler, Skyller, on WeChat, they pre-checked us in so my child could rest during lunchtime. I have to specially commend our dedicated concierge, Golden Key Ethan. Before we even arrived, he proactively added us on WeChat to connect, showing incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Knowing we wanted to relax and recuperate, he took the initiative to pre-book Ayurvedic treatments and singing bowl sessions for us at the wellness center. He also thoroughly explained all of the hotel's unique offerings, such as the hillside hot springs, the gymnasium, and the mountain hiking trails, clearly outlining the duration of each activity and any booking注意事项 (important notes). We didn't have to worry about a thing.
Throughout our stay, he was incredibly responsive, answering any small questions we had almost instantly. He's reliable, patient, and warm. I later learned he's a professional 'Golden Key' concierge, and his professionalism was evident—it’s rare to find such a dedicated and caring service person.
The hotel itself is also outstanding. Tucked away on the hillside, the air is fresh and quiet, with negative oxygen ions reaching 9000! The 12 forest hot springs create an amazing ambiance, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich, far surpassing the quality of a five-star hotel in the city. There’s also a huge kids’ play area, with facilities that cater to both adult relaxation and children's fun.
This time it was just my partner and me enjoying a relaxing getaway, and we are completely smitten. It was freezing outside in winter, but super warm inside – I felt like I could wear a T-shirt, the air conditioning was excellent. The service was generally great. My child threw a beanbag up onto the ceiling, which was about three or four meters high, and the hotel staff even managed to get it down for us. I'm very grateful for that. I deducted 0.5 points for service because the front desk staff seemed clueless; when I asked where to feed the alpacas, they said they didn't know and that it was handled by the hot springs area, implying it wasn't under their management. They mentioned the hot springs and entertainment were outsourced. However, we found the alpacas just a short distance outside the hotel lobby entrance, along with geese, ducks, and chickens. There were three large and two small alpacas, and they were adorable. Do bring them some carrots and greens; they looked quite hungry. For breakfast, go early, before 8 AM, as it's very abundant. If you go later, you'll miss out on the delicious cream cakes. Dinner was a buffet due to New Year's, and the seafood was quite fresh for the hotpot. The hot springs were a bit crowded, but the kids had a good time, mostly hitting each other with ocean balls. There weren't many indoor hot spring pools, making it a bit cramped. The rooms are clean and tidy, and come with a balcony. When checking in, you need to register your vehicle to park in the underground parking lot 🅿️, otherwise, you might be charged a parking fee. We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring ♨️ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. The hotel is located some 100m away from the Samatai Great Wall ticket entrance {RMB120] though the climb is rather challenging due to the uneven steps leading to the great wall [especially for night climbs can be challenging for older folks]. The hotel is clean but with very low occupancy [likely due to the price tag] next to the sauna house which I did not use. Gubei Water Town was pretty decent for this is a replica town build for tourist in 2013 if not mistaken. Night scene was great with laser and drone show illuminating the sky. I've traveled many times, but this was by far the best experience! The hotel staff were warm and professional, the facilities were comprehensive, and it was exceptionally clean. 《A Cozy Corner in Beijing East》: My Stay at EAST Beijing
I drove to EAST Beijing this time. The hotel shares an underground parking lot with INDIGO Beijing Shopping Center, and levels B2 and B3 have plenty of spaces, so no need to worry about finding a spot. I’d recommend parking in zone H, as it's closer to the hotel entrance. The entrance itself is specially decorated in bright yellow, making it both striking and inviting.
The lobby at EAST Beijing is incredibly stylish, with many creative sculptures that made me feel like I’d stumbled into an art gallery disguised as a hotel lobby, hahaha.
During check-in, Alan at the front desk enthusiastically upgraded my room and meticulously explained the locations of the gym, restaurant, and other facilities. I felt truly valued and welcomed.
The guestroom doors at EAST Beijing have a hidden design, blending seamlessly with the walls. This not only gave a smoother visual impression but, combined with the warm, non-direct lighting, also enhanced the sense of continuity in the hotel corridors.
I stayed in a king-size room, which was generally spacious with excellent amenities. Since this is the Year of the Horse, the corridor walls were specially adorned with a floating watercolor painting titled 'Dream Horse,' instantly adding a rich artistic ambiance to the room. Furthermore, because I had contacted the hotel’s housekeeping department beforehand to request a quiet room, they specifically selected a room for me that was far from the elevators and not adjacent to staff passages or linen rooms. They also prepared welcome fruits and a handwritten card, which made me feel right at home and was incredibly thoughtful. There was even complimentary lip balm on the nightstand, which was a lifesaver for someone like me whose lips often get chapped!
One delightful surprise was the recessed groove around the bathroom floor, which effectively guided water drainage during showers, preventing overflow and slippery floors.
When checking out the next day at noon, another front desk staff member, Amber, not only clearly explained the parking discount policy but also thoughtfully reminded me to use the two lower-level elevators to reach the underground parking lot smoothly. Her service was exceptionally detailed.
Overall, EAST Beijing is a high-quality, upscale hotel with well-trained staff, warm service, distinctive decor, excellent facilities, and refined design. It allows guests to enjoy a cozy and pleasant time even during business travel. I will definitely be back!FromPLN 385

Let's start with the positives: Firstly, the location is excellent. Right outside the entrance is Chongwenmen subway station, making it incredibly convenient to reach all the major attractions. This is definitely the hotel's biggest selling point. Secondly, the staff are very service-oriented. Their customer care, from booking to check-out, was impressive, and the front desk was quick to help guests resolve issues during my stay.
Now for the areas that need improvement: As it's an older hotel, the facilities are quite basic and dated. The lighting is also on the dim side, especially in the elevators. The rooms show signs of age, with some water stains and black mold visible in the bathroom, and dust accumulation in the corners of the wardrobe door tracks. During this stay, the first room (B213) had a strong odor from the bathroom drain, so with the help of the front desk, I moved to a different room (B559). However, the air conditioning in the second room was not very effective; even at its lowest setting, the room temperature stayed around 27 degrees Celsius, making it feel a bit stuffy in the mornings or at midday.
Overall, considering the price, Xinqiao Hotel offers acceptable value for money in the city center.
My suggestions for the hotel are: 1. Replace the lighting with brighter white lights to make the place feel less dated. 2. Increase the frequency of maintenance for drainage pipes and the central air conditioning system. 3. Improve the cleanliness of room corners, particularly in the bathrooms.FromPLN 281

The room was tiny, I mean, really tiny. There was no space for luggage; if you put it on the floor, you couldn't walk. I originally booked a windowless room, and they said they upgraded me to one with a window, but it faced a wall about 50 centimeters away. So, open or closed, it was dark, and if you opened it, all you heard was the buzzing of the AC unit outside, so it was better to keep it shut. The breakfast was good, and the location was decent.
