Chengdu 24-Hour Spas Guide: Where to Go, Prices & Services

By Amber
July 17, 2026

Have you ever heard of a 24-hour spa? In Chengdu, as in many other cities in China, it is common to find large wellness spaces open all day, where you can bathe, eat, rest and spend several hours without watching the clock.
At Trip.com, we show you the 24-hour spas available in Chengdu and some wellness alternatives with hot springs.
♨️ How Do 24-Hour Spas in Chengdu Work?
24-hour spas are a popular part of China’s wellness culture. Most operate with a simple entry system: visitors pay an entrance fee or make a reservation, receive an electronic wristband to track any additional spending, and can enjoy the facilities for several hours.
Unlike many European spas, the experience goes far beyond a single treatment. Many travellers use Chengdu’s 24-hour spas as places to rest between sightseeing, have a meal, enjoy leisure facilities, or relax during a long layover.
For this reason, these complexes are often seen as a combination of a spa, a leisure centre, and a comfortable place to take a break.
💆♀️ What Services Are Included in Chengdu 24-Hour Spas?
Most 24-hour spas in Chengdu are designed for guests to spend several hours without needing to leave. While facilities vary between establishments, the most common services include:
- Hot baths and hydrotherapy areas.
- Saunas and steam rooms.
- Relaxation and rest areas.
- Massage and wellness treatments (usually at an additional cost).
- Restaurants, snacks and drink areas.
- Entertainment and leisure spaces.
- Lockers, comfortable clothing and basic toiletries included with entry.
💡 Good to know: The entrance fee usually covers access to the main facilities, while additional services such as massages or premium treatments are normally paid separately.

🐼 Planning Your Chengdu Spa Trip: Things to Know Before You Go
Before choosing a 24-hour spa in Chengdu, it can be helpful to organise the essentials for your trip first: flights, mobile data connection and a few relaxing activities to enjoy during your stay.
Book your flights to Chengdu and compare travel options from the UK to China. If you plan to use maps, bookings, translations or check schedules during your trip, you can also activate a China eSIM before arrival.
Later, you will also find ideas for relaxed experiences in Chengdu, such as the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Sichuan Opera performances, and Mount Qingcheng.
🌙 Why Choose a 24-Hour Spa in Chengdu?
Chengdu's 24-hour spas are a very practical option if you arrive late, have a long layover, want to rest after sightseeing, or are looking for a different kind of local experience.
In a city known for its unhurried pace, its tea houses, and its relaxed way of enjoying leisure time, these kinds of spaces fit perfectly with the local way of life.
To help you compare better, we have separated the real 24-hour spas from the wellness alternatives. This first table only shows the 24-hour establishments available on Trip.com that fit the Chinese concept of an urban spa.
Here is a comparison of the options currently available on Trip.com:
Spa | Type | Highlights | Address | Ideal For |
24-hour spa & urban hydrotherapy centre | Massages, hot spring area, cinema, buffet, entertainment facilities, urban spa atmosphere | No. 8, No. 2, Nijiaqiao, Wuhou District, Chengdu | Travellers looking for a central and complete spa experience
24-hour hot spring & family leisure centre | Indoor and outdoor pools, dining, accommodation, water activities and spacious facilities | No. 619, Fenghuang North Street, Wenjiang District, Chengdu | Families and travellers wanting a larger thermal experience
24-hour hydrotherapy spa | Sauna, spa treatments, dining, Japanese-style relaxation area, gaming, café and internet facilities | 88 Jingjusi S St, DongGuang, Jinjiang District, Chengdu | Travellers wanting relaxation, food and entertainment in one place |
As the 24-hour spa offer in Chengdu is more limited than in some larger Chinese cities, this guide focuses on the 24-hour spas available on Trip.com that match the local urban spa concept. We also include wellness alternatives such as spa hotels, hot spring resorts and hotels with thermal facilities where relevant.

A very satisfying stay! We brought our child from Chongqing to Chengdu to see the giant pandas. Xiao Qin at the front desk and Xiao Yi from housekeeping were incredibly warm and attentive. When checking in, the front desk gave us direct bus tickets to the Panda Breeding Research Base, which was super convenient. The next morning at 8:30 AM, there was a bus right outside the hotel that took us directly there. Given the recent heatwave warning, they thoughtfully provided extra water, showing concern for our well-being. Due to our itinerary, on the third morning, we took our child to the Chengdu Museum, and afterwards, we planned to take them to Guanghan to see the Sanxingdui site. They proactively asked if we needed a late check-out or wanted to extend our stay, which really took the stress out of worrying about check-out times. The free panda bus tickets were a nice touch. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Wangfujing Mall, Chunxi Road, IFC, and Taikoo Li. Highly recommend! It will definitely be my first choice for future stays! I didn't take many photos, so I can only piece together what I have. The second picture is the hotel's second-floor afternoon tea and breakfast restaurant.FromUS$57

Booked this hotel for a company training, and it's super convenient – right by Chunxi Road, and the subway exit is practically at the hotel entrance. The front desk manager was amazing, I wish I knew her name! I'd booked a 399 RMB room, but they upgraded me to a deluxe executive king room, probably because they were short on standard rooms. The room itself was fantastic after I checked in! And the breakfast selection was incredible! Seriously, so many choices it was dizzying and overwhelming in the best way possible. Full marks! Highly recommend! Plus, you get a beautiful night view! It was stunning!FromUS$41

This was my first time in Chengdu, and I chose the Ritz-Carlton as my initial stop. I didn't want to run around, just wanted to relax at the hotel, so I booked an executive room. After my stay, all I can say is it was absolutely worth every penny! Everyone should go for the executive room! The lounge food is incredibly delicious. For lunch and dinner, there are two different main courses every day, along with many hot dishes and exceptionally tasty small cakes! In the evening, there's also a period for cocktails, and all drinks are free-flowing. It wasn't crowded at all, so I even got to try making my own cocktails for the first time. A big thank you to Ms. Eara Li for her patient guidance and active cooperation – she was truly wonderful, and the cocktails she helped me make were fantastic!
Breakfast maintained the usual high standard of the Ritz-Carlton, with a wide variety and many Sichuan specialty breakfast items. There were also plenty of seats, so no waiting even during peak hours.
Overall, the hotel opened a while ago, so the decor might feel a bit dated, but I would definitely come back for the service alone!FromUS$127

【Stay during a trip - The St. Regis Chengdu】
The classic luxury style is still on point, but the facilities show their age slightly.
Stay Review
Location: ★★★★★
Located in the heart of Chengdu, the geographical location is extremely convenient. It's not far from popular commercial areas like Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, making it easy to get around by taxi or on foot. Dining, shopping, and entertainment are all hassle-free.
View: ★★★★
The hotel offers generally good views, and the higher floors provide a panoramic view of Chengdu city, with a particularly atmospheric night view. However, being in the city center, the surroundings are all urban landscapes, lacking a bit of the natural feel of a resort hotel, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars.
Facilities: ★★★☆
As a St. Regis that has been open for many years, the overall maintenance is quite good, but you can still feel some age. The public areas retain their classic luxury style, but some of the in-room facilities and decor details do appear a bit dated compared to newer hotels today. If it undergoes future renovation and upgrades, the overall experience would be even better.
Service: ★★★★★
Service continues to be the most satisfying aspect of the St. Regis brand. From check-in to concierge and room service, the staff are all very professional, enthusiastic, and proactive in offering help. Communication is also detailed, giving you the feeling of the five-star service you'd expect.
Room: ★★★★☆
The room is quite spacious, and the classic European style gives it a recognizable St. Regis feel. The bedding is comfortable, and the overall stay is very relaxing. However, because the hotel opened earlier, some of the furniture and facilities show signs of use, lacking a bit of the pristine feel that comes with a new hotel.
Amenities/Activities: ★★★★
The supporting facilities like the pool and gym are quite complete, meeting daily needs for exercise and relaxation. They are well-maintained and sufficient for both business travelers and leisure guests.
Dining: ★★★★★
The hotel breakfast offers a rich variety, with a good balance of Chinese and Western options, and local Chengdu specialties are also covered. The overall quality is excellent. The restaurant environment is spacious and comfortable, and the staff are responsive, making for a very good dining experience.
Overall, The St. Regis Chengdu still maintains the service standards expected of an international luxury hotel. The location is excellent, the dining is good, and the service is particularly commendable. Although the facilities and decor show some age, and it's not a pet-friendly hotel, if you prioritize brand service and a convenient city center location, it is still a worthwhile five-star hotel.FromUS$121

Hejiang Pavilion/Jiuyan Bridge Nearby Area Chengdu|2.5km from city centre
The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly across from the beautiful Jinjiang River and the Anshun Bridge-Hejiang Pavilion. It's also very close to Taikoo Li. Stepping into the hotel from the scorching heat outside, we were met with cool comfort and that familiar, pleasant scent. Our river-view room offered an unobstructed view of the stunning scenery outside. The room itself was clean, comfortable, spacious, and bright, and we were even treated to welcome fruits and local snacks – truly wonderful! Although the hotel is a bit older, the service and maintenance are still top-notch. The dinner buffet even includes hot pot, and guests get a discount. The food was delicious, with à la carte options, roast duck, and local specialties like Qiaojiao beef. There was a great selection of drinks, including white and red wines, and refreshing ice cream. The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly – definitely worth a visit! Breakfast was also excellent. This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! I really outdid myself with this booking, haha! 😆 It exceeded my expectations, truly fantastic! 👍 A big thank you to the friendly front desk staff who greeted me downstairs on the first day. They even upgraded me to a private hot spring mountain view room, which was an absolute lifesaver! ‼️ After a super tiring hike, especially with my feet aching, coming back to a hot spring soak in the evening was perfect. The food was also delicious, especially the stir-fried pork. The downstairs cafe is beautiful, but... the coffee was quite average and weak. I absolutely loved Qingcheng Mountain – it was so peaceful and relaxing, with birds singing and flowers blooming. I slept wonderfully. 😴

A perfect private hot spring guesthouse!
Enjoy bliss in the mountains; the details are simply divine.
This mountain hot spring guesthouse deserves five stars! From the moment I stepped into the courtyard, my positive impression soared—the idyllic mountain setting was incredibly soothing, the air filled with the scent of nature, completely away from the crowds. The private hot spring water was reassuringly clean, and the intelligent temperature control was a thoughtful touch. Soaking in it instantly melted away all my fatigue. In the evening, paired with a home theater, the comfort was simply unparalleled.
The guesthouse's details were even more stunning: the rustic yet exquisite decor created a wonderful atmosphere, the teaware was so delicate I almost didn't want to leave it behind, and afternoon tea with the mountain view was incredibly pleasant; the smart appliances in the bathroom were convenient and high-end, and even the sweet fermented rice balls with brown sugar were incredibly soft and delicious—you could feel the owner's care.
The owner's hospitality and the two adorable dogs were the biggest pluses! Playing with the dogs and taking them for walks felt like being at a friend's house. This stay was so comfortable; I'm already thinking about coming back again. Highly recommended, a top choice for family trips!FromUS$93

Yuanyuanxiang is genuinely delicious! Usually, mountain guesthouses either have inconvenient dining or aren't quiet enough. Yuanyuanxiang is both peaceful and offers amazing food! The chef's skills are truly impressive, and you can even order from nearby restaurants to have food delivered to you! The breakfast is also incredibly rich and varied! It's a Western and Chinese buffet, and you can order super tasty noodles! The room also has a variety of snacks, drinks, and fruits, and they are proactively refilled every day! The private hot springs are also meticulously cleaned. When I checked in, there weren't many guests, and the butler even came to help clean it again! The guesthouse is located halfway up a mountain, a 5-minute drive from the parking lot. The staff were incredibly attentive, proactively carrying our luggage to the guesthouse. Inside, the environment is very upscale and stylish, with a lobby and courtyard seamlessly integrated. There are many beautifully maintained plants, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind with tea or coffee. The rooms are also elegantly designed, spacious with high ceilings and stunning views. The mountain-view rooms offer expansive mountain vistas. The room amenities are excellent, and the welcome tea and refreshments are exquisite. It's perfect for a relaxing vacation.
Breakfast and afternoon tea are included, with a wide variety of choices – we ordered too much to finish! The garlic chicken restaurant next door is also fantastic; they deliver dishes to the guesthouse, allowing us to enjoy authentic local cuisine without leaving the premises. Every dish was delicious, and it was such a treat. There are many room types to choose from, including a beautiful room with a private soaking tub.

This stay far exceeded my expectations. The moment I opened the door, I was greeted by a faint, refreshing scent of disinfectant mixed with air freshener. Downtown Culture Area Chengdu|0.64km from city centre
Hotel was in a relatively good location. Within walking distance there are malls and food stalls. Opposite hotel was the Sichuan opera theatre. Recommended to watch at least once. Hotel is able to get the tickets at cheaper rates. For the two bedroom suite, it is suitable for family of 5 with 1 child inclusive. There is one master bedroom which is directly linked to the toilet with a bathtub. Other room and second toilet is separated. Kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery etc. detergent is also provided for the washer. Refrigerator has normal and freezer compartment. Balcony is locked but you can sign an indemnity form to open it. Slippers provided are of good quality and house keeping is good. Only downside is the different little issues for different room we stayed in like hot water tap not working. hotel is connected to a mall, the HK cafe there is recommended. Food is good. Also the bakery sells really good chocolate bun. You can find it right after u enter the mall through hotel lobby.
The best thing of course was Tina, who always served with a smiling face and takes the initiative to add you on WeChat to cater to your queries whenever you need. she was also the one who helped to provide breakfast for our child whose breakfast was not included. The other lady who served us on the first night told us we had to pay. It was a very nice gesture from Tina. look for Tina if u stay here, she will be a great help.
For the breakfast,it is not the most fanciful but sufficient. Food changes daily but some food type stays the same. They have a paper where you can order noodles, egg omelette, pancakes and waffles. It will be served to you directly so thats a nice touch. They even provide disposable cups for the coffee machine with lids so that you can bring it out if you are in hurry or needed more drink. On weekday and weekend breakfast, the crowd was just nice unlike some hotels where it feels overwhelming and overcrowded due to the huge influx of tourists and there is no need to worry about food running out. Only downside for us is we can’t differentiate the type of meat. We don’t eat beef but it doesn’t state on the labels so we had to ask each time we wanted to take meat or dishes with meat.
It is easy to call for DIDI (their taxis) from the hotel. If you have 4 pax or less, hotel can call for you but more than that, you have to arrange yourself.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable stay. Definitely you can’t compare the price to a cheaper hotel. You are paying for quality over here.FromUS$79

I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened the room! It was exactly what I was looking for! Bright and spacious, with large French windows and a light gray color scheme. The furniture had clean, modern lines. It had a light luxury feel that instantly put me in a good mood! What was even more satisfying was the service. As soon as you stepped into the lobby, you could feel that the service was different from other hotels. Two elderly gentlemen were present in the lobby every day, greeting guests, serving tea and water, carrying luggage, and answering questions. It gave you a sense of security and trust! The restaurant is on the top floor, a circular restaurant with an excellent view, and the food is also very good! The location is also incredibly convenient; it's very close to all of Chengdu's attractions. Although it's in the city center, it's very quiet. The price is also quite reasonable. Shijicheng New Exhibition Commercial Area Chengdu|12.03km from city centre
I booked the Hilton for my college entrance exam. Although it's an older hotel, the facilities and equipment are very well-maintained. The soundproofing in the rooms is good, and the happy hour offerings at the executive lounge are among the better ones I've seen for a Hilton property; the desserts are especially delicious. The in-room dining is the most affordable I've encountered in China, and the quality is exceptionally high. It was incredibly good value for money. We had all our meals and accommodation at the hotel for the three days of the exam, and they even thoughtfully sent us a dessert with well wishes. Those are the positives.
Here are some suggestions for improvement:
1. The drink fridge in the executive lounge should be raised. The gap between the handle and the countertop is too small and pinches your hand.
2. The setup of the beverage area at breakfast is impractical. It should be moved further into the restaurant, rather than being placed outside the restaurant screen.

🚇🚖 How to Get to Each Spa in Chengdu
Before choosing a 24-hour spa in Chengdu, it is important to check the location carefully. Chengdu is a large city, and travel times can vary depending on traffic, time of day and which airport you arrive at.
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is closer to the city centre, while Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is much further away and usually requires a longer journey. If you are travelling with luggage, arriving late, or have limited time, taking a taxi or private car may be more convenient than combining multiple metro lines.
Spa | Best If You Are Staying In... | From Shuangliu Airport | From Tianfu Airport | Practical Tip |
Wuhou District, Nijiaqiao or central Chengdu areas | A relatively convenient option compared with more distant spas | Longer journey; consider taxi or metro + taxi | A good choice if you want to stay within the city
Wenjiang District or western Chengdu | Requires travelling towards Wenjiang | Less suitable if you have limited time after arriving at Tianfu Airport | Best for a planned visit of several hours
Jinjiang District, city centre or eastern Chengdu | A convenient option if you are staying in the city | Check the latest route options before booking | Good for combining relaxation with urban activities |

💡 Tips Before Visiting a 24-Hour Spa in Chengdu
💡 What to Bring
Most Chinese spas provide comfortable clothing, towels, lockers and basic toiletries. However, it can still be useful to bring flip-flops, a change of clothes, a phone charger, your documents, a bank card and some cash in case certain services do not accept international payment methods.
📌 Common Spa Rules
Each spa has its own rules, but some practices are common across Chengdu. In gender-separated bathing areas, it may be normal to enter without swimwear. Guests are also usually expected to shower before using pools or hydrotherapy areas.
In relaxation areas, visitors are encouraged to keep their voices low and respect the quiet atmosphere.
💰 Payments and Extra Services
At many spas, additional spending is tracked through an electronic wristband or internal payment system and settled when you leave. The entrance fee may not include massages, private rooms, special treatments or certain dining options.
Always check what is included in your booking before confirming your visit.
🗣️ Language
Not all staff members speak English, so it is recommended to save the spa address in Chinese, keep your booking details accessible on your phone and use a translation app if you need help asking about opening hours, included facilities or extra charges.
📷 Photos
Avoid taking photos in changing rooms, bathing areas, pools or relaxation zones where other guests may be present. Many spas restrict photography in certain areas to protect visitors’ privacy.

🎁 Which 24-Hour Spa in Chengdu Should You Choose?
The best option depends on your budget, where you are staying and the type of experience you are looking for.
✨ For a convenient urban spa experience
✔️ Herijun Hot Spring Spa (Nijiaqiao Branch) is one of the most practical options if you're looking for an urban spa in Chengdu with massages, relaxation areas, dining and entertainment.
✨ For a more complete hot spring experience
✔️ Shulechi Hot Spring Leisure Center is the best alternative if you're looking for a more complete thermal experience, with indoor and outdoor pools and a more family-friendly or long-stay focus.
✨ For combining relaxation, food and entertainment
✔️ Herijun Hot Spring Hydrotherapy is a good option if you want more than just a treatment. With saunas, relaxation areas, dining facilities and leisure spaces, it is a comfortable place to spend a longer break.
✨ For a wellness stay with accommodation
✔️ If you prefer a peaceful getaway with an overnight stay, hot spring resorts and wellness hotels around Chengdu may be a better choice than an urban spa. Consider options such as Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu - MGallery, Chengdu Howard Johnson Huashuiwan Hot Springs Resort, or First Forest Hot Spring Hotel FLOWER BAY for a more complete relaxation experience.
