Chengdu 24-Hour Spas Guide: Where to Go, Prices & Services

By Amber
July 17, 2026

Have you ever heard of a 24-hour spa? In Chengdu, as in many other cities in China, it is common to find large wellness spaces open all day, where you can bathe, eat, rest and spend several hours without watching the clock.
At Trip.com, we show you the 24-hour spas available in Chengdu and some wellness alternatives with hot springs.
♨️ How Do 24-Hour Spas in Chengdu Work?
24-hour spas are a popular part of China’s wellness culture. Most operate with a simple entry system: visitors pay an entrance fee or make a reservation, receive an electronic wristband to track any additional spending, and can enjoy the facilities for several hours.
Unlike many European spas, the experience goes far beyond a single treatment. Many travellers use Chengdu’s 24-hour spas as places to rest between sightseeing, have a meal, enjoy leisure facilities, or relax during a long layover.
For this reason, these complexes are often seen as a combination of a spa, a leisure centre, and a comfortable place to take a break.
💆♀️ What Services Are Included in Chengdu 24-Hour Spas?
Most 24-hour spas in Chengdu are designed for guests to spend several hours without needing to leave. While facilities vary between establishments, the most common services include:
- Hot baths and hydrotherapy areas.
- Saunas and steam rooms.
- Relaxation and rest areas.
- Massage and wellness treatments (usually at an additional cost).
- Restaurants, snacks and drink areas.
- Entertainment and leisure spaces.
- Lockers, comfortable clothing and basic toiletries included with entry.
💡 Good to know: The entrance fee usually covers access to the main facilities, while additional services such as massages or premium treatments are normally paid separately.

🌙 Why Choose a 24-Hour Spa in Chengdu?
Chengdu's 24-hour spas are a very practical option if you arrive late, have a long layover, want to rest after sightseeing, or are looking for a different kind of local experience.
In a city known for its unhurried pace, its tea houses, and its relaxed way of enjoying leisure time, these kinds of spaces fit perfectly with the local way of life.
To help you compare better, we have separated the real 24-hour spas from the wellness alternatives. This first table only shows the 24-hour establishments available on Trip.com that fit the Chinese concept of an urban spa.
Here is a comparison of the options currently available on Trip.com:
Spa | Type | Highlights | Address | Ideal For |
24-hour spa & urban hydrotherapy centre | Massages, hot spring area, cinema, buffet, entertainment facilities, urban spa atmosphere | No. 8, No. 2, Nijiaqiao, Wuhou District, Chengdu | Travellers looking for a central and complete spa experience
24-hour hot spring & family leisure centre | Indoor and outdoor pools, dining, accommodation, water activities and spacious facilities | No. 619, Fenghuang North Street, Wenjiang District, Chengdu | Families and travellers wanting a larger thermal experience
24-hour hydrotherapy spa | Sauna, spa treatments, dining, Japanese-style relaxation area, gaming, café and internet facilities | 88 Jingjusi S St, DongGuang, Jinjiang District, Chengdu | Travellers wanting relaxation, food and entertainment in one place |
As the 24-hour spa offer in Chengdu is more limited than in some larger Chinese cities, this guide focuses on the 24-hour spas available on Trip.com that match the local urban spa concept. We also include wellness alternatives such as spa hotels, hot spring resorts and hotels with thermal facilities where relevant.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided throughout my visit.
A special thank you goes to Ms. Mia at the reception desk. She was warm, professional, and exceptionally welcoming. Her friendly attitude, attentiveness, and willingness to assist made the check-out process smooth and enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my stay.
The hotel's facilities were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall hospitality exceeded my expectations. Staff members were courteous and helpful, creating a pleasant and relaxing experience.

Luomashi Commercial Area Chengdu|1.12km from city centre
We stayed at the Hotel Dorsett, and overall it was a pretty positive experience, with a few small things to note.
The best parts: The room is very spacious, and the bathroom is super large, with both a bathtub and a shower. The bed is comfortable – though a little firm, and you can feel movement when the other person moves. The curtains, lights, and USB chargers are a great, convenient touch. Breakfast is good, especially for Asian tastes – Western options are limited, but what they have is tasty. The location is fantastic: the metro is just 50 meters away, right at the doorstep. The area is nice and recommended. There was some construction nearby, but it didn't bother us at all.
Could be improved: The only real negative point is the elevator – it takes quite a while.
Bottom line: Highly recommended for the space, cleanliness, and location. If you don't mind waiting a bit for the elevator or a slightly firm bed, everything else more than makes up for it.FromUS$47

I came to Chengdu with my classmate this time. Since we're not yet adults, I was a bit worried about checking in, but it turns out I was completely overthinking it. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and patient. Instead of being dismissive because of our age, they were very considerate of our feelings throughout, and it felt really good to be treated with such respect.
The city view from the room was absolutely stunning, with a super wide vista. Looking out the window at night, the city's splendor was laid out before us. Every picture we took was like a professional shot, and we spent ages taking photos by the window.
Of course, as a well-established five-star hotel that's been open for some years, some of the facilities do feel a little dated compared to those trendy new hotels that just opened. However, this didn't affect the overall stay at all. The bedding was very comfortable, and the hygiene was excellent. The minor flaws don't detract from the overall quality.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I truly felt the expected standards and warmth of the Ritz-Carlton. Thank you to all the Ritz-Carlton staff! (。・ω・。)つ🌷FromUS$127

The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient to get anywhere; a taxi ride usually costs around ten yuan. The service was also very satisfying; the butler service was attentive, and any requests were promptly addressed. Before arriving, I was a bit worried the hotel facilities might be outdated, but after checking in, I realized my worries were unfounded – everything is well-maintained, and the room is very spacious. The hotel breakfast also offers a rich variety, including all the Chengdu specialty snacks, though there were quite a few kids due to the summer holiday. Next time I visit Chengdu, I'll definitely prioritize staying at The St. Regis again!FromUS$120

The lady at the front desk was very helpful during check-in and even upgraded my room for free. Any issues I had were quickly addressed and resolved – truly excellent service!
My stay at the Shangri-La Chengdu was absolutely perfect. The hotel is located right by the Jinjiang River, and from the floor-to-ceiling windows, I could take in the beautiful Anshun Bridge and the Jinjiang night views. It’s also within walking distance of Taikoo Li, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and clean, with even the standard rooms exceeding 42 square meters. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area with high-quality amenities. The thoughtful turndown service at night and the complimentary local snacks were lovely touches that made the stay extra special.
Service was consistently warm and attentive. The front desk staff were efficient and thorough, and all staff members were patient and helpful, responding quickly to any requests. The dining options were extensive; the Sichuan cuisine at 'Shang Palace' was authentic and delicious, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices. The heated swimming pool and the high-altitude executive lounge were excellent facilities, perfect for relaxing in my free time. Overall, the hotel perfectly blends elegant Sichuan charm with high-end comfort. It’s a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, and I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu.FromUS$107

Qingcheng Piedmont Scenic Area Dujiangyan|10.45km from city centre
Stayed for two nights. The hotel's location is not far from the front mountain of Mount Qingcheng, and about a 20-minute drive from the Qingcheng Mountain Golf Course, making it quite convenient. This area is essentially a small town with many guesthouses, but this hotel feels like the best one around. Plus, the rooms even have private hot springs! After hiking all day, coming back for a soak in the evening is so relaxing 😪. There's a night market street right in front of the hotel, perfect for an evening stroll and buying some fruit. Also, the hotel's food is so much better than the restaurants outside. On our first day, we went to a seemingly popular restaurant outside and the food was awful. For the rest of our meals, we ate at the hotel. It was clean, hygienic, and most importantly, the taste was fantastic. The chef clearly puts a lot of effort into the cooking, highly recommend! 👍FromUS$55

A perfect private hot spring guesthouse!
Enjoy bliss in the mountains; the details are simply divine.
This mountain hot spring guesthouse deserves five stars! From the moment I stepped into the courtyard, my positive impression soared—the idyllic mountain setting was incredibly soothing, the air filled with the scent of nature, completely away from the crowds. The private hot spring water was reassuringly clean, and the intelligent temperature control was a thoughtful touch. Soaking in it instantly melted away all my fatigue. In the evening, paired with a home theater, the comfort was simply unparalleled.
The guesthouse's details were even more stunning: the rustic yet exquisite decor created a wonderful atmosphere, the teaware was so delicate I almost didn't want to leave it behind, and afternoon tea with the mountain view was incredibly pleasant; the smart appliances in the bathroom were convenient and high-end, and even the sweet fermented rice balls with brown sugar were incredibly soft and delicious—you could feel the owner's care.
The owner's hospitality and the two adorable dogs were the biggest pluses! Playing with the dogs and taking them for walks felt like being at a friend's house. This stay was so comfortable; I'm already thinking about coming back again. Highly recommended, a top choice for family trips!FromUS$92

Dujiangyan|18.55km from city centre
It must have been fate; among the many hotel options at Mount Qingcheng, I ended up choosing Yuanyuanxiang. My flight was delayed, and I didn't check in until almost 9 PM. The butler had already prepared a hot pot dinner for us (which needs to be reserved in advance), and it was surprisingly delicious. The room was split into two levels: the first floor had the bed, a small living area, and a balcony, while the lower level featured a hot spring bath and a sofa area. Every single detail was incredibly thoughtful. It was quite cold on the mountain, but the room had underfloor heating, and all the hardware was from major brands. The amenities and the generous daily supply of snacks were all from Sam's Club. As someone with high standards for hotels, I found everything to be impeccable.
The butlers' service and attitude were exceptionally attentive and warm; they could meet almost all our needs. They offered valet parking, delivered breakfast to the room, replenished supplies daily, and even prepared the private hot spring tub by filling it with water in advance. Before we left, they even gave us two complimentary coffees and offered to mail us some local cured sausage. Everything was simply so comfortable and delightful.
By the way, the natural oxygen bar goes without saying, and the cafe is incredibly photogenic – I regret not discovering it until just before I left. I will definitely be back!FromUS$97

Qingcheng Mountain and Tai'An Ancient Town Dujiangyan|17.36km from city centre
Honestly, I never write reviews, but this time I stayed in such a high-end guesthouse, so I just had to! First, it was my wife and my first time visiting Mount Qingcheng. When I first saw the price, I was a bit hesitant. But to make my wife happy, I went for it. We arrived quite late, so after a quick check-in, I took a bath and went straight to bed. The next morning, oh my goodness, I was truly amazed. The mountains, mist, birdsong, fragrant flowers, and running water all combined to create an absolutely stunning experience. It felt like stumbling into a fairyland! For breakfast, honestly, the variety isn't huge, but it's incredibly delicious! Especially since the guesthouse has its own bread oven, so the bread is freshly baked – you know what I mean. I had no desire to go out and explore. Since we checked in late, I discussed with the housekeeper to extend our check-out to 2 PM, and by chance, we ended up having afternoon tea! What a pleasant surprise. All in all, it far exceeded my expectations! Maybe it's what living the life of the rich feels like! Highly recommend!FromUS$137

Shijicheng New Exhibition Commercial Area Chengdu|12.03km from city centre
I booked the Hilton for my college entrance exam. Although it's an older hotel, the facilities and equipment are very well-maintained. The soundproofing in the rooms is good, and the happy hour offerings at the executive lounge are among the better ones I've seen for a Hilton property; the desserts are especially delicious. The in-room dining is the most affordable I've encountered in China, and the quality is exceptionally high. It was incredibly good value for money. We had all our meals and accommodation at the hotel for the three days of the exam, and they even thoughtfully sent us a dessert with well wishes. Those are the positives.
Here are some suggestions for improvement:
1. The drink fridge in the executive lounge should be raised. The gap between the handle and the countertop is too small and pinches your hand.
2. The setup of the beverage area at breakfast is impractical. It should be moved further into the restaurant, rather than being placed outside the restaurant screen.
Overall, this hotel is highly competitive at its price point and definitely worth experiencing.FromUS$86

Du Fu's Thatched Cottage and Qingyang Palace Chengdu|4.5km from city centre
The hotel's ambiance was lovely overall. There was some construction downstairs from our room which slightly disrupted our rest. Also, the central air conditioning in the hotel was too warm and a bit dry, making us uncomfortable. We stayed for four nights and washed some clothes by hand, and the hotel promptly provided a drying rack. The housekeeping staff were excellent; anything we asked for was arranged immediately! The breakfast offered a good variety of Chinese options, while the Western selection was a bit simple but perfectly adequate. Vegetarians also had several good choices. During breakfast, we met Ms. Zhang Yueqiu from the F&B department, who was incredibly warm and thoughtful. She arranged red wine and dessert for us and even gave us small gifts before we left. We truly appreciate such family-like care! Our thanks also go to Ms. Wang Anlin from the F&B department for her care, and to the two gentlemen who helped with our luggage – apologies for forgetting their names! It's not too far by taxi to Wenshu Monastery, and there are supermarkets, a vegetarian buffet, and cafes nearby, with a mall right downstairs. Everything is very convenient!FromUS$106

Downtown Culture Area Chengdu|1.18km from city centre
True to what I've seen on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform), the entire hotel exudes a beauty reminiscent of an era of economic prosperity. Back in 2015, Wanda Group was at its peak, and Wanda Reign was clearly aiming to compete with luxury brands like Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis. It's a shame that Wanda has since faced significant setbacks, and only three Wanda Reign hotels remain in China. However, from the hotel's grand lobby and public areas to the room corridors and even the interiors of the rooms themselves, you can still see the no-expense-spared foundation from its heyday. Various marbles, granites, and white jades are exquisitely inlaid throughout, and the enormous crystal chandelier and jade carvings in the lobby are truly breathtaking. The hotel's breakfast quality is also top-notch; the live cooking stations for noodle toppings are the best I've ever experienced in any hotel. Although the hotel has gradually aged with Wanda's decline, it still stands as one of Chengdu's most worthwhile choices for an upscale stay.FromUS$102

🚇🚖 How to Get to Each Spa in Chengdu
Before choosing a 24-hour spa in Chengdu, it is important to check the location carefully. Chengdu is a large city, and travel times can vary depending on traffic, time of day and which airport you arrive at.
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is closer to the city centre, while Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is much further away and usually requires a longer journey. If you are travelling with luggage, arriving late, or have limited time, taking a taxi or private car may be more convenient than combining multiple metro lines.
Spa | Best If You Are Staying In... | From Shuangliu Airport | From Tianfu Airport | Practical Tip |
Wuhou District, Nijiaqiao or central Chengdu areas | A relatively convenient option compared with more distant spas | Longer journey; consider taxi or metro + taxi | A good choice if you want to stay within the city
Wenjiang District or western Chengdu | Requires travelling towards Wenjiang | Less suitable if you have limited time after arriving at Tianfu Airport | Best for a planned visit of several hours
Jinjiang District, city centre or eastern Chengdu | A convenient option if you are staying in the city | Check the latest route options before booking | Good for combining relaxation with urban activities |

💡 Tips Before Visiting a 24-Hour Spa in Chengdu
💡 What to Bring
Most Chinese spas provide comfortable clothing, towels, lockers and basic toiletries. However, it can still be useful to bring flip-flops, a change of clothes, a phone charger, your documents, a bank card and some cash in case certain services do not accept international payment methods.
📌 Common Spa Rules
Each spa has its own rules, but some practices are common across Chengdu. In gender-separated bathing areas, it may be normal to enter without swimwear. Guests are also usually expected to shower before using pools or hydrotherapy areas.
In relaxation areas, visitors are encouraged to keep their voices low and respect the quiet atmosphere.
💰 Payments and Extra Services
At many spas, additional spending is tracked through an electronic wristband or internal payment system and settled when you leave. The entrance fee may not include massages, private rooms, special treatments or certain dining options.
Always check what is included in your booking before confirming your visit.
🗣️ Language
Not all staff members speak English, so it is recommended to save the spa address in Chinese, keep your booking details accessible on your phone and use a translation app if you need help asking about opening hours, included facilities or extra charges.
📷 Photos
Avoid taking photos in changing rooms, bathing areas, pools or relaxation zones where other guests may be present. Many spas restrict photography in certain areas to protect visitors’ privacy.

✔️ Herijun Hot Spring Hydrotherapy is a good option if you want more than just a treatment. With saunas, relaxation areas, dining facilities and leisure spaces, it is a comfortable place to spend a longer break.
✨ For a wellness stay with accommodation
✔️ If you prefer a peaceful getaway with an overnight stay, hot spring resorts and wellness hotels around Chengdu may be a better choice than an urban spa. Consider options such as Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu - MGallery, Chengdu Howard Johnson Huashuiwan Hot Springs Resort, or First Forest Hot Spring Hotel FLOWER BAY for a more complete relaxation experience.
