After a day cycling the city walls, visiting the Terracotta Warriors or wandering through the Tang Dynasty Ever-Bright City, spending a few hours in a 24-hour spa in Xi'an can be an excellent way to rest. These establishments combine swimming pools, saunas, treatments, dining, entertainment and sleeping areas.

In Xi’an, you’ll find centres open throughout the night and hot spring complexes located in Lintong and Lantian. Here at Trip.com, we’ve reviewed their guide prices, opening hours, services, and locations.

♨️ How do 24-hour spas work in Xi’an?

Chinese urban spas, known as tangquan, are designed for you to spend several hours inside. Basic admission usually includes showers, pools, saunas, steam rooms, and common areas.

Upon arrival, you leave your shoes at reception and receive an electronic wristband to open your locker and charge any additional expenses. In the changing rooms, which are usually separated by gender, you are given comfortable clothing to wear in the shared areas.

In gender-segregated baths, swimwear is often optional, whereas it’s usually mandatory in family or mixed-gender pools. Some centres also require a swimming cap.

Even though the establishment is open 24 hours a day, buffets, massages, shows, or children's areas may have their own specific opening times.

🧖 What services does a 24-hour spa include?

Depending on the centre and the package booked, the ticket may include:

  • Hot pools and baths of varying temperatures.
  • Dry saunas, steam rooms, and sweating areas.
  • Pyjamas, towels, slippers and toiletries.
  • Fruit, drinks or snacks.
  • Restaurant or buffet at specific times.
  • Cinema, video games and children's play areas.
  • Reclining armchairs, pods or shared beds.
  • Massages and treatments available for an additional charge.
  • Private rooms are subject to availability.

Being able to spend the night doesn't mean having a room. In many cases, you'll be sleeping in a pod or an armchair within a shared area.

It combines gender-segregated baths, small pools, a sauna, steam room, cinema, children's area, sleeping pods, and relaxation spaces. Admission includes clothing, toiletries, fruit, and drinks. Trip.com indicates that it is open all day and allows overnight stays.

The ticket price varies depending on the day and the services included. Before booking, check if the rate includes meals and how long you can stay on the premises. Massages, treatments, games, and private rooms may have an additional cost.

📍 The spa is located at No. 8, North Section of Yanta Road, Beilin District. You can get there by taking metro line 4 or 5 to Jianzhu Keji Daxue·Lijiacun Station (建筑科技大学·李家村). Remember to bring a swimsuit and a swimming cap if you want to use the shared pools.

Qingshuiwan Letanghui: the most complete resort

Illuminated indoor pool at Qingshuiwan Letanghui with a central sculpture and rest areas.

Xi’an Qingshuiwan · Letanghui Hot Spring covers approximately 36,000 square metres and remains open 24 hours a day, all year round.

Its water comes from a spring located more than 4,000 metres deep. It features thermal pools, saunas, steam rooms, a cinema, a restaurant, a children's area, sleeping spaces, and rooms. The baths are separated for men and women, while the dining, leisure, and relaxation areas are shared.

Some travellers mention tickets starting from 89 RMB, although the price depends on the day, meals, and the sleeping space used. Also, check if there is a night surcharge.

📍 It's on the north-east corner of North Second Ring Road and Mingguang Road, in Weiyang. As there isn't a metro station right by the entrance, it's best to complete your journey by taxi or DiDi (the Chinese ride-hailing app) and show them the name: 清水湾·乐汤汇都市温泉度假中心.

Galaxy Cloud Valley: spa and relaxation packages

Illuminated indoor pool and relaxation area with sun loungers at Galaxy Cloud Valley, a 24-hour spa in Xi’an.

Galaxy Cloud Valley is a spacious wellness centre located in Aerospace City, south of Xi’an. Although it is listed under the accommodation section, it operates as a long-stay Chinese spa where you can spend up to 24 hours.

Its facilities feature hot water pools, a jacuzzi, a sauna, entertainment and dining areas, and various relaxation spaces, such as armchairs and sleeping pods. The available packages vary and may include several meals, body treatments, or specific relaxation zones.

The price depends on the option chosen, so it is worth checking which services each rate includes before booking. In particular, check if it allows you to stay overnight and whether you will be sleeping in a pod, a shared armchair, or a private room.

📍 The property is located at No. 398 Yanta South Road, in the Chang’an District. The nearest metro station listed on its profile is Huangzipo, about a 620-metre walk away. Save the name in Chinese, 西安星河云谷酒店, to locate the exact address on the map.

Main entrance to Tangyu Tiantan Hot Spring, a thermal complex located in Lantian, Xi’an.

It's open from 08:30 to 23:00, and a visit usually lasts between three and five hours. Trip.com doesn't currently show a fixed price, so it's worth checking the rate for your chosen date.

📍 The complex is located in Tangyu, in Lantian County. As there is no direct metro connection from the centre of Xi’an, the most convenient way to get there is by taxi, DiDi, or a private car with a driver. Qinlong Hot Spring: an alternative for families

Outdoor thermal pool surrounded by greenery at Qinlong Hot Spring, Xi’an.

The hotel environment is really great, with lots of greenery and trees everywhere, making for a very comfortable stay. This time I stayed for quite a while, and the butler was wonderfully attentive throughout my stay, always responding promptly to any requests and handling them with incredible patience. They even helped me find something I accidentally left behind right away, which was a huge relief when traveling with kids. This is definitely a family-friendly hotel, and choosing a package for a long stay offers great value for money. The only minor suggestion is that the restaurant food was a bit bland, so we opted to eat out for a few days. However, the overall experience was still very good, and I would definitely consider this hotel again for our next family trip.

At check-in, they were welcoming & found an English speaking staff member who escorted us to our room, which was super spacious & clean. The hot springs are across the driveway, but there was a shuttle car available if necessary. The breakfast had tons of options & they even indulged my requests (delivered via a translation app) for “a knife to spread butter” & “eggs with soft yolks”. We arrived there via subway & walking. From the subway, with our luggage in tow, was 15 minutes or less. Right around the subway station are other food & store options. Without bags & at a leisurely walk, it was about 15 minutes to Huaqing palace.

I recently visited Xi'an Lintong with my family and specifically chose the Joyland Hotel. Our entire stay was incredibly comfortable, and both the environment and service were exceptional. It's truly perfect for family trips, and I wholeheartedly recommend it! We even got upgraded to a suite, which was fantastic! The hotel's location is excellent, close to major attractions like Huaqing Palace and Mount Li, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. This saved us a lot of travel time, which was a huge plus when traveling with elderly parents and children. The hotel itself has an elegant garden style, with a quiet and serene environment, lush greenery, and fresh air. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, providing a truly relaxing stay. What truly stood out was the hotel's service. It was attentive, meticulous, and wonderfully thoughtful throughout our stay, with an exceptionally good attitude. Traveling with elderly parents and children meant we had a lot of luggage. The front desk processed our check-in very quickly, and the staff were patient and detailed, proactively telling us about nearby attractions, breakfast times, and hotel amenities. They even gave us practical tips for family travel, which was incredibly thoughtful. During our stay, service requests were promptly addressed, and any needs we had were quickly resolved. Our room was clean and tidy, with great natural light and ventilation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the room was fully equipped with excellent attention to cleanliness details. The hotel's thoughtful details for our family trip truly enhanced our overall experience, making everyone feel very welcome and comfortable. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, with clean and tidy public areas, offering a tranquil and comfortable environment.

This hotel is absolutely divine! If you're coming to Xi'an, I'd even say it's a must-visit in itself. First off, it's right by the Huaqing Palace, with a private entrance for free and unlimited access. Every room also has its own hot spring pool. They include complimentary tickets for two to Baoji Pool. The complimentary travel photoshoot is super popular; we couldn't book it when we arrived, so definitely reserve in advance. The staff are incredibly enthusiastic. For a room costing just over 1000, it felt like an absolute steal. The service is miles better than a certain hotel in West Lake where I paid over 3000 before. In the evening, they even have staff escort you to see the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance, with a hotel-exclusive通道 (access), so no need to queue up early. At this time of year, the first show at 8 PM is already completely dark, allowing you to fully experience the lighting effects. The complimentary sweet soup in the evening was delicious too. Honestly, with all these value-added services, it felt like the room itself was free, haha. Also, the hotel restaurant is genuinely delicious! I usually don't like eating at hotel restaurants, but the food here is really good and highly recommended!

The front desk service was absolutely fantastic, with complimentary pick-up and drop-off. The hotel environment was very comfortable, and the heated floors in the room were a nice touch. I'll definitely come back with my family next time. The front desk staff, especially the young lady at check-out, was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic.

This was a spontaneous, short trip, a perfect reminder that plans often yield to the unexpected. Here I am in Xi'an, at the foot of the Qinling Mountains, longing to open my arms and embrace nature. I soaked in the cool breeze, the fragrant blossoms, and the gentle chirping of birds that seemed to whisper secrets. Every tiny flower here possesses a unique beauty; they don't need to be dazzling, yet their charm is utterly irresistible. It served as a beautiful reminder: you don't need to please anyone, and true happiness isn't given but earned through your own smile. I cherished the tranquility, the white swing nestled among flowers, and the vibrant green pomegranate trees adorned with their distinctive red blossoms. The shaded courtyard was a delight, featuring brightly colored rocking chairs, sun umbrellas, and a small pebble-built stream with stone and wooden bridges. In the stream, around twenty fluffy, super cute ducklings swam playfully, even hiding under lily pads when the sun grew strong. Two brown goats contentedly grazed on the lush green grass. I even playfully called out, 'Hello there, goat, can we be friends?' Haha, a unique soul indeed! The 'Eight-Point Black' rabbits were a constant favorite with the kids, and a proud white fox enjoyed its spacious cage – perhaps not its ideal home, but certainly one where its neighbors posed no challenge! Then there were the flocks of big white geese, honking away with gusto. There's also a vegetable garden, still growing. I hope to taste its fresh produce when I return – what a lovely thought! The evening scenery was enchanting, with countless small lights twinkling like stars in the sky. If you're feeling musical, you can even grab a microphone and sing a few songs. The rooms themselves were very comfortable, clean, and hygienic. For those with energy, brewing a pot of tea and chatting about life is a wonderful option. I love this place so much that I'll definitely be back. It's a perfect spot to record life's beautiful moments and ponder its many inspiring mottos. **Facilities:** Excellent, adorning the rooms like works of art. **Cleanliness:** Impeccable, with great attention to detail. **Ambiance:** Beautiful and spacious. I particularly enjoyed brewing tea by the floor-to-ceiling window while admiring the natural scenery outside. **Service:** The staff, especially one kind lady, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. **Parting Gift:** Upon check-out, they even prepared a lovely gift for us, including a variety of snacks that children absolutely adored.

This hotel is located in the heart of Xi'an, offering extremely convenient transportation. There's a subway station right outside, as well as a tourist service center for trips to the Terracotta Army. The Bell Tower and city tour bus stops are also very close by. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel's location is surprisingly quiet. Furthermore, the hotel's facilities, rooms, and cleanliness all meet star-rated standards. I highly recommend this hotel to first-time visitors to Xi'an.

Lovely hotel, we had a huge room with 2 TVs and probably one of my favourite showers out of hundreds of hotels. The breakfast was great, staff very friendly and great location right at the heart of Xian and only 30-40min by Didi from XianBei (North Station). The exterior of the hotel didn't do it justice, but once you are in the lobby everything is taken care of. Drum and Bell towers are both easily walkable 10-15min stroll through restaurant streets and make a lovely sunset visit (open till 9pm) and wandering around the exciting if slightly chaotic street food vendors of the Muslim Quarter just next to the towers are well exploring. Get some Biang Biang or a Xian traditional Chinese Burger. The Metro is also about 10-15 mins walk roughly near the drum tower which can take you to Huaqing Palace in about 50mins North East of the city (1 simple line change) I suggest you get entry tickets and shuttle for both palace and Terracotta Warriors (+10 mins shuttle from Huaqing Palace).

Disappointing Stay Despite an Impressive Suite We were really looking forward to our stay at the Sheraton Xi’an North City Hotel, particularly as we had booked an Executive Suite. Unfortunately, while the suite looked impressive at first glance, our overall experience was disappointing and fell short of the standard we had experienced at the other hotels during our trip. The main issue was the air conditioning, which simply did not cool the room adequately. The temperature remained around 27°C, making it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably. The solution offered by the hotel was to provide two portable air coolers, but unfortunately these made little difference to the room temperature. For a hotel of this standard, we would have expected the air conditioning to be functioning properly rather than relying on portable units. There were also issues with the fridge/minibar and room service. After checking in, we noticed that the fridge/minibar had not been stocked and contacted reception to ask about it. Unfortunately, communication was difficult, and after around 40 minutes we were still waiting for an answer. We were told that a manager would call us back, but this did not happen. Eventually, someone came to the room and explained that if we wanted drinks, we would need to order them through room service. This would have been acceptable had room service been reasonably prompt, but on the two occasions we ordered, delivery took around an hour. To be fair, however, the food itself was very good once it arrived. Housekeeping was another area where we were disappointed. On the day before checkout, towels had been left in the bath as a clear indication that they needed replacing. When we returned late that evening after a full day of sightseeing, the towels had still not been replaced and the bed had not been made. Fresh bottles of water had been left, so there had clearly been some room servicing, but the incomplete housekeeping was disappointing. There were also some cleanliness issues within the suite. Although it looked impressive, closer inspection revealed dirty marks on the mirror and tabletops, while the safe contained a noticeable amount of dust. More concerningly, we found part of what appeared to be a medical tablet inside the safe. These are small details individually, but together they suggested that the room had not received the level of detailed cleaning we would expect before a new guest arrived. We don't want this review to appear unfair, because there were positives. The Executive Suite itself was spacious and had the potential to be an excellent room, and, as mentioned, the food we ordered from room service was very good. The problems were also not about the friendliness of individual staff members; rather, they concerned communication, follow-through, housekeeping and the resolution of basic room issues. Overall, it was a shame because we had been looking forward to our stay here. Unfortunately, the combination of an uncomfortable room temperature, delays in resolving the minibar issue, slow room service and inconsistent housekeeping meant that the stay was not the relaxing experience we had hoped for. Compared with the other hotels we stayed in during our trip, the Sheraton Xi’an North City lacked consistency in several areas that are important to us. We hope the hotel will take this feedback constructively, as with better attention to maintenance, housekeeping and service follow-through, the property could deliver a much better guest experience.

This hotel is absolutely worth a special mention! First off, the location is excellent, with convenient transport links. The accompanying garden is truly unique in Xi'an. The public areas are grand and spacious, and even though it's not a tall building, it has four elevators. Our room itself was fantastic – great size, layout, natural light, and a lovely view, truly feeling like a suite. But the most outstanding highlight is their service. From the doormen and front desk to housekeeping, everyone was incredibly polite and helpful. Any request we had was addressed immediately. We had arranged for a twin bed setup beforehand, and it was all ready when we arrived, which was very thoughtful! Specifically, on our last day, our museum plans changed, and we couldn't get back to the hotel in time for checkout. We spoke to the front desk, and they graciously extended our checkout time on two separate occasions. As an extra touch, the hotel breakfast offers small bowls of *paomo* (a local specialty), which was a nice little bonus.

First, the positives: the location and the view from the window are excellent. Although it's an older five-star hotel, the room cleanliness is truly impeccable. The front desk and restaurant staff were also very professional. Breakfast was delicious. The downsides are also quite obvious: the shower water pressure was low, and the drain was very slow, causing water to pool. The room faced the street, so it was a bit noisy at night. There's no swimming pool, and the gym is tiny. I heard from the staff that the hotel is gradually undergoing renovations and upgrades. I hope for a better facility experience next time.

Unfortunately i didn't take many pictures but recorded videos. I booked a room type as shown in the first but received something smaller as the one in the second pic, weirdly cut. I didn't notice it as first as i was distracted by the strong smoke smell and asked the lady to change, who tried to sell me a qin shi huang mausoleum tour. Then i was brought to a room type as the one in the first pic, that's when i realised that's what i initially had booked... but there was still a smoke smell and as i really had to use the toilet i simply thought of using the A/C and opening the window, hoping it'd get better. By the evening i got startled by someone knocking at the door only to realise it was someone knocking on my neighbouring door. That's when i realised there was a 1-2cm gap between the floor and door and why i heard that loud knock. I also noticed neighbouring doors were fine and even asked the neighbouring guests if they could hear me. Anyway; that's when i demanded for a second change and only then, when i was a bit assertive and insisting on a new room, did i get a proper room. But there was small issue with the 3rd room too, with the drainage as the water took around 5mins to flow away, making noise. But that wasn't an big issue. It seems like this hotel seems to follow the procedure to give problematic rooms to customers who seem easy-going, which is a known tactic to chinese people from china but not so to foreigners. Beside of that, my stay was pleasant, the breakfast was rich and they have a big variety. I just think it was a bit of a waste of time trying to sell those tobacco smell rooms to me. You can easily fix those by endorsing proper no smoking rules or use a filter machine before, removing smoke. Beside of the convenience as it's really close to all main attractions i just find those actions subpar. Which is an issue with whoever decides to implement such strategies.

🚇 How to choose the best spa in Xi’an

Zhangchao is the most convenient option for a night-time visit without straying too far from the centre. Qingshuiwan offers more extensive facilities and a complete experience with baths, entertainment, and relaxation.

Galaxy Cloud Valley is further south and could be an option if you find a spa and relaxation package that fits the time you need. If you are looking for hot springs, Angsana and Huaqing Yutang can be combined with a visit to Huaqing Palace and the Terracotta Warriors.

Tangyu Tiantan is better suited for a specific day trip out of the city. Qinlong might be of interest to families, but it's worth checking in advance which facilities are still operating.

✅ Tips before visiting a 24-hour spa in Xi’an

  • Bring your passport to validate the booking.
  • Save the name and address in Chinese.
  • Confirm how much time the ticket includes.
  • Ask if there is a night supplement.
  • Check the buffet and treatment times.
  • Bring swimwear and a swimming cap for the shared pools.
  • Check the services before charging expenses to your wristband.
  • Avoid weekends if you're looking for peace and quiet.
  • Book a private room if you need some peace and quiet.
  • Confirm that the establishment accepts foreign travellers.
  • Pack some clean underwear to change into.
