This hotel is a rare healing sanctuary in the city; the subtle fragrance upon entering immediately soothed away the urban fatigue. Upon check-in, they even conduct a body constitution assessment. The room had a fantastic ambiance, and the 'Earth Bed' provided an incredibly comfortable sleep, with a variety of pillows to choose from. Little thoughtful touches like the Himalayan salt lamp and sleep aid devices were everywhere.
The Hengyue Xinshe Hot Spring is definitely worth experiencing; after a soak, I felt completely relaxed. There are also free workshop classes available, such as sound bowl healing and yoga. I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The hotel is located directly opposite a huge shopping mall, which is beautiful for taking photos. The room was comfortable and spacious, and after a tiring day, I slept really well at night. The hotel offers free hot springs ♨️ access. After exploring Disneyland, my legs were exhausted, so I went straight to soak in the hot springs to relieve them. The hot spring facility had all the toiletries you could need. After bathing, I could complete my washing there and then return directly to my room to rest, which was fantastic! The young man with glasses provided excellent service, helping me with my luggage to the room and then carrying it to the car when I checked out. There was also a handsome waiter who escorted us to the hot spring entrance. The front desk lady had a great service attitude. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to Disneyland, which requires booking 2-3 hours in advance. This was incredibly convenient for my two-day visit to Disneyland.
The hotel breakfast was also very rich, with many food options, including freshly cooked rice noodles and wontons, which tasted quite good!
The only issue was that the sockets for the kettle, coffee machine, and TV had no power. I had to use the socket by the sink to boil water. I informed the front desk, and they said someone would come to check, but when I returned to the hotel in the evening, it still wasn't fixed. However, it didn't affect my 3-day stay. No TV? No problem, I just lay in bed and played on my phone!

I stayed one night at Yuansu Hot Spring Hotel in Shanghai, and the overall experience was better than expected.
The room was very clean and well-equipped, making for a comfortable stay. My favorite part was the private hot spring tub in the room. After returning in the evening, I could soak anytime without needing a reservation, which offered excellent privacy.
The hotel also offers therapeutic activities like meditation. Unfortunately, I only stayed one night and didn't have much time to try them, but they seemed quite unique.
Parking at the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of spaces available. If you're driving, you basically don't have to worry about parking.
The hotel staff provided excellent and patient service. They were always quick to help with any issues and spoke very kindly.

The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring.
The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt.
I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I booked an executive twin room with my child. The room was clean, and its location right in the heart of Jing'an Temple makes dining and taking the subway incredibly convenient. I first booked it because of its proximity to Eileen Chang's former residence, Changde Apartment, and I booked it again because of its excellent location and service. My child particularly loves the hot spring pool here. We also ate several meals at CP Jing'an this time, which was very convenient.
However, you need to watch the time when taking a taxi. I noticed during this trip to Shanghai that Jing'an Temple is really congested. Getting to the hotel was a constant jam, and the ride to the airport was also quite slow. The hotel breakfast is excellent! There's a wide variety, and I always eat too much. Check-out time is also very flexible; my flight was at 4 PM, and the front desk staff kindly extended our check-out to 1:30 PM, which was fantastic service. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.From£116

Decent stay, but several misses for a 5-star property
My stay at the Pullman Shanghai Central was a mixed bag—nice in some areas, but disappointing in others.
Check-in: The staff were very friendly and welcoming on our first day. However, I was surprised that they wouldn't let me check in until 3:00 PM. At most other hotels, I'm usually able to get an early check-in (even if I arrive at noon), so this felt a bit rigid for a property of this level.
The Room: The room itself was comfortable—the bed was soft and the shower pressure was actually perfect (not too strong, not too weak, just right). Unfortunately, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke upon arrival. To their credit, when I called the front desk, they immediately offered to change my room, which was very professional of them.
Breakfast: This was the biggest letdown. The breakfast buffet felt more like what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel rather than a 5-star Pullman. The quality and selection just weren't there for me.
Overall: It was an okay stay—nothing terrible, but nothing exceptional either. I wouldn't rate it a 10/10, more like a solid 6. Good service from the staff, but the check-in policy, smoke issue, and food really held it back.From£79

Facilities: This is an old-school five-star hotel. While the style has a bit of history to it, everything is impeccably clean. It truly showcases the quality of a five-star hotel and makes you feel at ease.
Hygiene: Nothing to complain about, absolutely excellent! Spotless.
Environment: Many foreigners stay here, making it feel like you're abroad. Of course, Shanghai is indeed an international metropolis, and you see a lot of foreigners on the streets.
Service: I have to complain about the hotel's breakfast, specifically the noodle and wonton station right at the entrance. You're a five-star hotel, after all. Yet, the wontons and noodles are pre-cooked. If you want some, they just roll them around in the broth, which is incredibly perfunctory. They taste mushy. It really cheapens the experience. They even give you a tag and tell you to pick it up after three minutes. Does it really take three minutes to swish something in a pot? It's out in 20 seconds, tops.
However, the egg pancakes are made fresh! An egg pancake requires tomatoes, onions, minced meat, mixing, spreading, rolling, and plating – wow, that sounds like a lot of work, right? But they make each one fresh, and you have to wait for it. If no one orders, they just leave the pan empty! You guys are truly dedicated!
Perhaps wontons and Chinese noodles just don't 'agree' with hotel settings, and they have to be pre-cooked. That's a tough pill to swallow.From£135

We had a fantastic stay and were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, always even greeting us at the door, opening doors and checking cars for belongings left behind after long shopping trips.
The hotel has a beautiful, luxurious atmosphere, with excellent facilities including a very well-equipped gym and separate men’s and women’s sauna and steam rooms as well as a pool and hot tub. There is also an onsite spa opened till 2am! The ‘This Works’ bathroom toiletries in the rooms were a lovely touch and smelled wonderful.
