GGuest UserStaying in Mandarin Oriental Qianmen was truly amazing. The whole team plan well to implement exceptional customer service and share the beauty of their property.
I'd like to particularly mention some of your staffs ”Marcus” who cared so much about us from the beginning to the end, ”Eathen” the butler who was very professional during the room tour. It was our 2-year anniversary trip and they prepared our room very nicely. Next morning, we had a really joyful breakfast time with ”Wujoon Lee” and the chef ”Ping” Each menu of breakfast was top-notch. Every ingredient was very fresh, high quality, and full of authentic flavors(The Olive oil and Balsamic🫶). We loved Chef Ping's delightful energy and spirit!
They were so friendly, and we even took a walk together with Wujoon after breakfast. He showed us other restaurants and beautiful ballrooms and shared many interesting stories regarding the property. It was a very pleasant conversation.
I'd also like to mention one bell boy staff(sorry, couldn't pick his name up.) who came to pick up our luggage! We needed more time for packing, so he had to wait for another 10 minutes outside and took our luggage. I was supposed to meet him at the lobby because we wanted to take some more last-minute photos of our beautiful room before we leave. It was raining. After another 10-15mins, we went out and were surprised that he was waiting for us in front of our door without telling us. He just said it was raining quite heavily, so he thought it was better we take the buggy to go to the lobby. He didn't tell us because he didn't want to push us at all and make us hurry. He was very thoughtful, and I was very touched.
When we reached lobby, many staffs waiting for us to say good bye, and I was told that the hotel car was prepared for my next destination.(Bvlgari hotel) I was surprised because I was supposed to grab the cab. Marcus gently offered me to take the host car for my convenience with this kind of weather.
I really don't know what to say, and I felt like the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen treated me like their family. It was definitely beyond my expectations. All the staff have been very helpful, professional, and attentive.
During my way to Bvlgari Hotel, I found out that the driver doesn't use the navigation. I asked him, ”Do you know where we are going?” He said he knows all the locations of every 5 stars and higher grade hotels. What a gentle and professional driver!
There are always some reasons to come back! For me, the reason to come back to this property is definitely people and the breakfast, lol. The personnel of this property are absolutely the assets!
The quality of service delivered by them during my Beijing trip has convinced me that I can always rely on this hotel for the home-away-from-home feeling. See you again!

GGuest UserI have stayed at this hotel a night. I have contacted with someone and talked for 9 minutes about scheduled a shuttle bus with the phone number at Trip.com a day ago we arrived.
But there was happened several things as shown below,
1. There was no one were waiting for us at the Arrival area of the airport.
2. Then we find the information desk of the Beijing Capital International airport to ask her to call to the hotel. The phone number was the same number was talking yesterday. But the reception of that hotel was now nothing about we are arriving and told her that the shuttle bus after 8:00 PM will be 100 RMB.
3. I was confused and cached taxi, so it was only 20 RMB distance. Also the taxi driver was trying to have more money. So I gave him 30 RMB.
4. The reception of that hotel was completely nothing understand in English and seemed have no possibility to discuss about this happen. Also didn't explain us anything about breakfast time, wifi password, dining places, working time of swimming pool and sauna, also shuttle bus to the airport.
5. We have arrived at 8:30 PM, and we needed to have dinner and asked a guy from hotel about where to find restaurant and he called us a taxi and told us will be call a taxi for us, so we changed our Wechat addresses. Then the guy wrote us to catch a taxi yourselves from the street. Then restaurants cashier said no to us to call a taxi.
6. So we go out and show the hotel address to several taxies, but no one knows that address. So we walked and luckily asked a taxi who tried hard to find the hotel address and found it after long time find thought applications. But the taxi asked us much more money to take us to the hotel. But that was only 10 min drive distance.
7. I called to the room service which is pushed 0 from room phone, and a lady who was speaking in English said their manager will contact me back when I told her about shuttle bus didn't arrive. Then there are no ones contacted me back.
8. I have talked with another guy who was speaking English when I get my room, with a phone of the guy who let us to our room, he said that the swimming pool and massage will be start at 10:00 AM in the morning, but it was opened 8:00 AM when I come to the swimming pool and SPA. So I wondered why customer service of this hotel working so poor.
But the hotel and room was nice, but the customer service is so poor seemed for me.
I just wanted to write about this for other hotel guests to be careful.

MM1849****We booked a family room, which had an escape room game. We played it with the kids and even got small gifts. However, these rooms need better cleaning attention – the final treasure box wasn't locked.
The kids absolutely loved the heated pool on the fifth floor. It was around 29°C and they happily played for an hour. It wasn't crowded, and the service was excellent. Right next to it is a well-equipped gym.
Breakfast on the sixth floor was plentiful, and they even had Eggs Benedict!
The tent bed in the family room was a big hit with the kids, but I have a few suggestions.
First, for children around three who love to jump on the bed, the swing needs a warning. It should be hooked aside when not in use; my child actually bumped their face on it.
Second, although the window is sealed and cannot be opened, it's quite thin. The window side gets very cold, so kids playing in the tent might catch a cold. It's impossible to sleep there at night, which meant my child couldn't use it, and cried before bedtime. Turning on the air conditioning didn't help as the airflow reaching that side was cold, and even the left side of the main bed felt chilly. I suggest adding a thermal screen for nighttime use.
Third, the windowsill next to the small tent needs anti-collision padding. Since it's a kids' room, many areas should have anti-collision padding, and this spot, in particular, requires safety attention.
Regarding parking, please note that only the ground-level parking outside the hotel's main entrance is for guests; the underground parking is not. It would be even better if the hotel could have some of its own underground parking spaces.
I think at check-in, guests could be given a basic introduction and a list of important notes (a butler's WeChat would be even more convenient, with various templates: one for families covering play and safety, another for business guests detailing nearby attractions, business centers, and food delivery options). Although the front desk staff explains everything during check-in, most people wouldn't object to this kind of helpful reminder.

GGuest UserI travelled solo to beijing first time. Xilian hotel was an amazing experince. I just loved the service and the manners they had. The lovely man who checked me in knew english and upgraded me which I am so thankful for.
The room service was very polite. One person stood out for their service as a receptionist, Li Jia-Hui employee number 13, she helped me for so long through out the night to book my tickets to badaling great wall of china. She was an amazing professional person that I am so grateful for. People like her really makes me want to come back to Xilian hotel next time I am in beijing.
The hotel was super clean, everything worked, laundry self service was really good and automated, it dispensed the detergent itself. They even had ironing equipment too. The gym was good, but it would be nice to have a small rack of dumbell weights, they also gave water in the gym. The room was just amazing it had automated curtains, and Led lights in the mirrors and under the bed. They even had extra mirrors with lights on it for attention to detail on your face. The toilets are super clean and automated. Music played when you walked in. The sofas in the room were like brand new. The bed was super comfortable. I had 2 huge tvs one infront of the bed and the other infront of the sofa. I didnt use the tv so not sure about the channels. The hot tub i had in my room was out of this world, i really loved it. Super hygenic because they gave a plastic clear sheet to put in the hot tub then you step inside it and enjoy, then rip the sheet up after to let the water to be drained. The shower also also really big and clean with some sort of stoned or marble flooring with shower gel and stuff supplied. Slippers were given in the room also bottles of water (it was really good water) and some small cans of coke and sprite i think it was and some herbal tea bags you can make yourself. Robots were delivering food around the hotel which was cool to see. Also the light controls in the rooms were lovely, with different settings on them. They had a cafe down stairs that was nice. Breakfast was really nice all different types of food were given a wide variety anyone would be pleased. It was absolutely delicious. The hotel was top quailty it made my stay in beijing much more enjoyable. It was also nice and warm even though it was freezing outside in december. Special thanks to Li Jia-Hui employee number 13 truly grateful to her she went so far just to help me she deserves a bonus.
If you read this review and trying to decide to stay here, trust me just book here you will enjoy your stay.

MM13763****The Regent Beijing is perfectly located in Wangfujing, close to major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the National Museum, Temple of Heaven, and Beihai Park, all accessible by foot or shared bike. The Dengshikou subway station is right outside the hotel, making travel by metro incredibly convenient. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. Our high-floor room offered views of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. Waking up to the sights along the central axis in the morning was incredibly pleasant, and we also enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the evening. The breakfast was also very generous, featuring a variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, including some Beijing local snacks. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Beijing, especially if I'm exploring the central axis area.

__WeChat32331****Someone swiped a card and entered my room in the middle of the night. I was already lying down and about to rest, and it scared me quite a bit. The hotel didn't offer any explanation at the time, just told me to wait. Then they blamed me for not closing the door properly, but the truth is I hadn't left the room after the hotel housekeeping finished cleaning. This is truly outrageous. I ended up calling the police myself. Since it was very late, I pushed all the movable furniture in the room against the door to block it for the night. The next morning, I checked out as quickly as possible and will never go back. I highly advise solo female travelers to avoid this place; it's very unsafe.

We stayed here for our anniversary, and even before we arrived, Rose proactively reached out on WeChat to ask about our check-in time and preferences – the communication was super smooth. When we got there, it was even better than we expected; the room was decorated so warmly and romantically. The cleanliness was absolutely top-notch, even the bedding smelled fresh and clean. All the amenities were there, making our stay so comfortable we didn't want to leave. Mika was also constantly checking in on our needs, and every staff member we encountered during our stay greeted us with a smile, especially Terry, who was incredibly quick to respond. The biggest surprise was receiving a small gift prepared by Adison when we checked out – that thoughtful gesture really touched our hearts. We'll definitely choose this place again next time!

JJacky Liu 1982The hotel's location is truly excellent, right in the core area of West Chang'an Avenue. It's directly opposite the Capital Museum and next to Chang'an Shopping Mall, making getting around very convenient. The price is also very cheap. However, for a five-star hotel, their service is truly disappointing. Firstly, there's no greeter at the entrance, and no service staff in the lobby. The front desk is slow to respond and quite dull when dealing with issues. All the staff have a poor sense of service, or rather, no service awareness at all. They avoid eye contact with guests and don't even offer a simple greeting! The swimming pool is like a big fish tank. If you're staying for the low price and great location, it's just about acceptable.

Llily****This was my second stay here. The hotel boasts an excellent location in Wangfujing, and I consider it to be one of the best value-for-money options in Beijing. The rooms are spacious, and the service is excellent. You can easily walk to the Forbidden City, the National Museum, and Tiananmen Square. The only downside, which is due to the central heating, is that the room was 26 degrees Celsius – far too hot! I guess that's a characteristic of northern China in winter. It's puzzling why they maintain such a high temperature when just a few degrees lower would save energy and be much more comfortable. The hotel staff did their best, providing a portable air conditioner, ice, and suggesting opening the window, but after all that effort, it made little difference. It's a tough situation for them too.
