"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, surrounded by luxury shops, making it very convenient to get around. The Mandarin Oriental's attention to detail is superb. The understated luxury and 'old money' vibe are precisely my style. The vanity room is spacious, and they prepared welcome fruits and snacks, a bottle of red wine, and even pear soup, along with a beautifully written welcome letter. It truly made me feel right at home. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, with fresh, organic ingredients and amazing flavors. I even had breakfast alongside the Russian ambassador at the next table! Sipping a coffee with a Forbidden City latte art design on the large terrace overlooking the Forbidden City, I truly experienced a taste of royal life. So happy! 😃"

"Our stay was excellent. The room had a view of the Liangma River, and I assume every room offers a different angle of the river. The room was private and quiet, and impeccably clean. The turndown service, which included homemade drinks in a thermos, was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast selection was vast; we tried both Chinese and American options, and both were delicious. Our butler, Bitty, provided exceptional service from check-in, always responsive to our needs and checking in on our family daily. We received complimentary fruit and dessert upon arrival, and snacks were delivered to our room every evening. Overall, the service was incredibly attentive. We will definitely choose the Bulgari Hotel again on our next visit to Beijing."

Just steps from the East Gate of the Summer Palace grounds lies at Summer Palace Hotel - the ideal location from which to discover Beijing.Housed in a series of pavilions, some of which date back over a century and were originally used by guests of the Palace awaiting an audience with the Empress Dowager Cixi, the restort is only 15km from the Forbidden City.A serene retreat ,with pea ceful internal courtyards embracing traditional Chinese architecture ,the proerty provides easy access to such cultural landmarks as the Great Wall ,The Temple of Heaven and the hutongs ,as well ad Beijing's restaurants ,art galleries and other contemporary delights .

"First of all, Jason at the front desk is very helpful and thoughtful. Not to mention the rest of the hotel staff were also friendly and helpful yet leaving you great space of privacy. We were very well taken care of. We stayed in the courtyard suite which is lovely. It feels magical to stay at such a historical place. Breakfast is not in buffet style but the selections offered are good enough especially the Chinese style breakfast. We also enjoyed the champagne and cold cuts platter. Thrilled to find out the spa service operate until 11pm, which we can go to sleep straight after the massage after dinner. On the other hand, the private access entrance to the summer palace is a plus point. As we don’t need to go through the usual public entrance that is full of people. The complimentary traditional costume photoshoot was surprisingly good. The quality of the costumes and make up are easily comparable ( or better than) to the paid one offer outside. Overall, we had a really good time throughout the stay where we were able to experience the tranquility and elegance of the Summer Palace. The team at Summer Palace Hotel done a good job!"

Hotel near Qianmen (Front Gate) and Chongwenmen Commercial Area,Beijing
No. 1 of Luxury Hotels in Beijing
Located in the heart of a traditional hutong neighbourhood inside the Beijing Central Axis, the capital's key cultural artery, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing is a remarkable, unique property of just 42 courtyard houses. Intimately connected to the city, its expansive, luxurious accommodations feature exquisite oriental aesthetics and represent the pinnacle of Chinese hospitality. With refined wellness and immersive culinary experiences and a distinguished event setting, contemporary luxury, sumptuous heritage, art and nature combine, just steps from The Forbidden City, Qianmen and The Temple of Heaven.

"When people talk about the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing, they often label it as a 'luxury hotel in the hutongs,' a 'hidden gem along the central axis,' or a 'masterpiece of the Qianmen regeneration project.' But if we set aside these external definitions and focus purely on the stay experience, the deepest impression it left on me can be summed up in two words: sheer comfort. This comfort doesn't stem from any single specific amenity, but rather from an overall feeling. Tucked away deep within Beijing's Qianmen hutongs, stepping through the gate from the bustling streets into the courtyard felt like entering a different dimension of time. Grey bricks, dark tiles, courtyard walls, and tree shadows – all elements were distinctly Beijing, yet without any forced emphasis on being 'Beijing.' The design didn't just stop at symbolism; instead, it re-organized the hutong courtyard lifestyle, truly allowing guests to live in a modern Beijing courtyard home. Beijing in the summer is particularly suited to this place. The afternoon sun dappled through the leaves onto the courtyard, with doves perched quietly on the branches. Sitting in the courtyard, watching the clouds drift slowly between the eaves and grey walls, you suddenly understand why old Beijingers always said, 'There must be a tree in the courtyard.' The tree not only provides shade but also marks the passage of time. The wind changes, the light changes, and the tree shadows change. Many mention its 'hidden location in the hutongs,' but what's truly worth experiencing isn't just the hidden aspect, but rather that elusive relationship with Beijing's urban culture. Outside the walls are the hustle and bustle of Qianmen, while inside, the unique sense of scale characteristic of courtyard living is preserved. Looking up, you see the sky; looking down, you see tree roots and青砖 (qingzhuan - traditional grey bricks); occasionally, birdsong can be heard. These seemingly ordinary details become precious in today's city. The service also left an excellent impression. It wasn't an overly enthusiastic kind of service, but rather a sincere and well-measured attentiveness. Help was always there when needed, yet they maintained an appropriate distance when not. Many high-end hotels can achieve professionalism, but it's not easy to make guests feel genuine care, and this place truly has that ability. Near check-out, I had a chat with the duty manager, Chloe. What began as a simple conversation unexpectedly became a memorable part of this stay. She meticulously detailed the design philosophy and spatial characteristics of the hotel's 42 rooms, patiently explaining everything from the layouts of different courtyards to the subtle differences between rooms. One could feel her genuine understanding and passion for this hotel, which in turn gave me a more complete appreciation for this hidden hutong gem. My special thanks also go to Chloe for her insights and hospitality. Upon leaving, I felt that the most precious aspect of this hotel wasn't its luxury, but rather how it has preserved the ambiance of courtyard living in a rapidly changing city like Beijing. Shade from trees, grey walls, summer clouds, birdsong. These seemingly ordinary things collectively form a part of my memory of summer in Beijing. If staying at a hotel is about experiencing a space, then the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing is more about experiencing a Beijing way of life. It may not be for everyone, but for those willing to slow down and embrace the city, beauty can be found everywhere here."

"This was my second stay at The Chedi. My last visit was before the floods, and it's still just as perfect. The customer service contacted me in advance and added me to a WeChat group. For my wife's birthday, they sent sparkling wine to the room, and when we ordered dinner at Rongfu Yan, they even included longevity noodles. My wife was very pleased, thank you! I heard that The Chedi ranks second among luxury wilderness hotels in China, with The Banyan Tree Lijiang being first. I've been to The Banyan Tree as well, and personally, I don't think it compares to The Chedi. I'll definitely be returning to The Chedi again."

"The PuXuan's location was perfect for us while we were traveling in Beijing. The housekeeping staff cleaned the rooms super well and even noticed our room habits and made adjustments to make our stay more comfortable. We were super impressed with how the room was left for us every night. That being said, some of the other facilities weren't in good shape. We were kind of disappointed because we wanted to go to the sauna and it was broken and really small. We also had a leak in our room the last day. We also received a cute coin for a welcome drink but when we went to redeem it, they didn't know what welcome drink we meant and didn't get one. The hotel breakfast was delicious, both western and local options. The bar was also great, with a special World Cup themed drink menu as we were there during the World Cup finals. "

This was my partner and my first time vacationing in Miyun, and also our first stay at the Hylla Hotel. The entire trip far exceeded our expectations; it was truly wonderful! I have to specially commend our dedicated concierge, Golden Key Ethan. Before we even arrived, he proactively added us on WeChat to connect, showing incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Knowing we wanted to relax and recuperate, he took the initiative to pre-book Ayurvedic treatments and singing bowl sessions for us at the wellness center. He also thoroughly explained all of the hotel's unique offerings, such as the hillside hot springs, the gymnasium, and the mountain hiking trails, clearly outlining the duration of each activity and any booking注意事项 (important notes). We didn't have to worry about a thing. Throughout our stay, he was incredibly responsive, answering any small questions we had almost instantly. He's reliable, patient, and warm. I later learned he's a professional 'Golden Key' concierge, and his professionalism was evident—it’s rare to find such a dedicated and caring service person. The hotel itself is also outstanding. Tucked away on the hillside, the air is fresh and quiet, with negative oxygen ions reaching 9000! The 12 forest hot springs create an amazing ambiance, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich, far surpassing the quality of a five-star hotel in the city. There’s also a huge kids’ play area, with facilities that cater to both adult relaxation and children's fun. This time it was just my partner and me enjoying a relaxing getaway, and we are completely smitten. We'll definitely bring our daughter and the whole family next time, and we'll certainly ask concierge Ethan to arrange our itinerary again! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short, relaxing getaway in the Beijing suburbs or a family trip. Whether it's the facilities or the thoughtful service, it's absolutely worth making a special trip!

My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing was absolutely perfect, earning a full five-star review! I experienced both the main building and the traditional courtyard rooms. The location is superb, right next to Wangfujing and within walking distance to the Forbidden City, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel's design is truly unique and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the amenities are high-quality and smell wonderful – every detail shows great care. Our butler, Willow, provided attentive and thoughtful service; she was warm, polite, and perfectly balanced, never being intrusive. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring both authentic Beijing specialties and delicious Western options. The afternoon tea was beautiful and tasted just as good as it looked. This is definitely the top luxury hotel to stay at when visiting Beijing. Highly recommended!

The bedding is comfortable, and the sofa is perfect for lounging and relaxing. The open-air courtyard is great for taking photos during the day, and at night, it has an amazing atmosphere for watching movies. The breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options. The staff are attentive and provide excellent service. The hotel also arranges various family-friendly activities, and there's a scheduled shuttle service every hour for convenient access to the World Horticultural Expo. A butler was waiting for us while we parked, showing exceptional service. Upon checking in at the lobby, we were offered complimentary snacks and drinks. To my delight, they upgraded our room for free, allowing for a better view of Yanqi Lake. The room table had fruit and wine, and the butler had even prepared aromatherapy. Surprisingly, the bathroom floor was also thoughtfully equipped with a non-slip mat. The butler also brought our luggage to our room, and to my surprise, given the slightly chilly temperature, they even brought down a warm coat from the car – incredibly considerate! We had initially mentioned needing to get our luggage, but only remembered when they went to retrieve it, and then they thoughtfully brought us the warm coat! We also participated in an afternoon cultural tour, which provided a deeper understanding of the hotel's design style and philosophy. The food was excellent, and the hotel facilities, cleanliness, and environment were superb! Not to mention the butler's service – it was exceptional! I highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Yanqi Lake. If we go again in the future, we will definitely choose Yanbai Mountain Villa again!

First off, the hotel environment is excellent, situated on Yanqi Island with an abundance of greenery everywhere you look. It's right next to the International Convention Center and Yanqi Pagoda. After breakfast, you can stroll through the restaurant area to enjoy Yanqi Lake. Secondly, the service is incredibly thoughtful. The day before our arrival, they called to inform us they had upgraded our room type for free. Upon arrival, every staff member was smiling, proactively greeting us and helping with our luggage. There were also thoughtful welcome teas and complimentary drinks. The handsome Leo Liu patiently explained everything. The room itself was spacious, elegant, and spotless, with no unpleasant odors. As someone usually picky about hotel bedding, I surprisingly didn't even use my own disposable bed and pillow covers this time. From the room's balcony, with a push of the window, you could see lush green lawns and lake views, which made our family trip feel particularly pleasant and relaxing. All in all, an unforgettable and satisfying stay!

My only minor complaint was with the concierge at the ground floor entrance; they weren't very proactive in welcoming guests, and I wasn't informed that a key card was needed to access the 64th floor. Everything else was fantastic. Check-in was very quick, I received a complimentary room upgrade, and they even helped me arrange a room with a large sofa. The customer service staff were all very enthusiastic. The bartender on the 80th floor made some beautiful cocktails. The staff at the breakfast restaurant were excellent, and the food was delicious 👌🏻 My only suggestion would be to consider adding some activities for children near the gym, as the existing equipment isn't suitable for them.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, China Central Place was absolutely perfect! The decor is a classic 'old money' style – understated luxury without being flashy. The vintage furnishings create an amazing ambiance and feel incredibly high-quality. The hotel environment is tranquil and elegant, and the location is convenient, offering a quiet escape despite being in a bustling area. The service was refined and professional, with staff being attentive and thoughtful, paying attention to every detail. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with excellent soundproofing, making the overall comfort outstanding. The heritage of this long-established luxury hotel is simply irreplaceable. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Park Hyatt Beijing was an excellent experience. First off, the location is superb, right in the Beijing Yintai Centre on the East 3rd Ring Road. The hotel rooms are located on floors 37-50, offering fantastic views, including the landmark CCTV Tower and Guomao area directly opposite. Downstairs, you have direct access to Guomao Station on Metro Line 1. The breakfast spread was plentiful, featuring local Beijing specialties alongside a variety of Western options to cater to international guests. The service was also incredibly thoughtful and attentive; we even had a housekeeping attendant in the hallway proactively ask if we had enough water and if we needed more. Our room was clean and comfortable. Legorie meticulously arranged everything throughout our stay, ensuring smooth communication and expertly handling all our requests, big or small. Our whole family had a wonderful time! We'll definitely be back!

An interesting hotel located on the top floor of Parkview Green. Each floor seems to have a different artistic style. The hallways even offer a 'courtyard' view. The room design itself occasionally felt a bit more focused on aesthetics than practicality (for instance, the shower in the bathroom lacked a partition). However, it definitely offered some pleasant surprises and novelty. The terrace room also felt quite unique. Overall, it's a positive review, and the furniture is quite innovative. The service occasionally felt a little inconsistent and varied, but it's still a positive review. The staff enthusiastically helped my friend, who came to pick up luggage, with their belongings.
