Germaphobes can rest easy - the level of cleanliness is highly rated at this hotel. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"Facilities: The room offers an excellent view directly facing the Forbidden City. The swimming pool is comfortably heated, and the gym is well-equipped with machines that are maintained like new. Cleanliness: Impeccable. The bedding was pristine and crisp, and the bathroom was spotless. The turndown service even organized personal belongings meticulously. Ambiance: Located in Wangfujing, yet surprisingly quiet. The floral arrangements and artwork in the public areas are tasteful and elegant. The unique scent of oriental agarwood creates a distinctive, secluded atmosphere. Service: Our butler, Xiao Lü, was the absolute highlight. She attentively observed our needs, proactively prepared a rainy-day itinerary, and arranged a late check-out. Her thoughtfulness felt like that of an old friend, making it a truly warm and memorable experience. Overall, it exceeded our expectations! 👍🏻"

The 1500 square-metre BVLGARI Spa adds a further luxurious touch to the guest experience featuring 11 treatment rooms, a fitness center and a 25-metre pool made of shimmering mosaic tiles. Inspired by Ancient Rome, they recall the patterns of the historic Terme di Caracalla Roman baths. Guests can enjoy cocktails, fine wine, champagne and Bvlgari’s renowned ‘aperitivo’ at the signature oval bar, or on the outdoor terrace overlooking the river.

"The tall, handsome guy at the front desk was polite, thoughtful, and friendly during check-in. The breakfast was also excellent, and the surrounding environment was great. They were very proactive about early check-in and late check-out. The reason it's not a perfect score is that there was no dedicated lifeguard at the pool, and no attendant in the changing rooms. The emergency buttons in the steam room and sauna were not obvious, and no one informed me about them – this is the first time I've encountered this in a five-star hotel. While the younger staff were dressed very strictly, it seemed one of the front desk managers wasn't adhering to the dress code."

Just steps from the East Gate of the Summer Palace grounds lies at Summer Palace Hotel - the ideal location from which to discover Beijing.Housed in a series of pavilions, some of which date back over a century and were originally used by guests of the Palace awaiting an audience with the Empress Dowager Cixi, the restort is only 15km from the Forbidden City.A serene retreat ,with pea ceful internal courtyards embracing traditional Chinese architecture ,the proerty provides easy access to such cultural landmarks as the Great Wall ,The Temple of Heaven and the hutongs ,as well ad Beijing's restaurants ,art galleries and other contemporary delights .

"Even though it's no longer affiliated with a top-tier luxury brand, it's still worth a stay. The hotel itself is part of the Summer Palace's imperial gardens, which we specifically explored at night. The gardens are an intricate maze of carved balustrades, jade-like structures, and winding corridors, where time itself seems to shape the space. While the bustling crowds are just outside the walls, hotel guests have private, unlimited access to the Summer Palace through a special entrance, though a staff member needs to open the gate each time. Afternoon tea is served by a small pond, shaded by weeping willows and surrounded by blooming flowers – perfect for a lingering late spring afternoon. While the setting is dreamy, the pastries were generally a bit too sweet for my liking. The breakfast restaurant, adorned with a 'Royal Cuisine' plaque, offers a semi-buffet. Emperors of old might not have enjoyed the variety and quality available today! The hot food selection includes both Chinese and Western options; while it might not be as bustling as other hotel breakfasts, the quality is excellent and the service impeccable. Our room was upgraded to a suite with a thoughtfully designed layout. The bedding was luxurious and the pillows incredibly comfortable. The nine-compartment box filled with snacks was a delightful touch. Toiletries are presented in ceramic gourds, giving them the appearance of ancient elixirs. However, these ceramic bottles for shampoo and shower gel are a bit impractical; they're slippery and made me nervous about dropping and breaking them, and the conditioner was difficult to squeeze out. This could definitely be improved. We had to rush off, so we didn't get to experience many of the amenities, leaving us a good reason to return."

Hotel near Qianmen (Front Gate) and Chongwenmen Commercial Area,Beijing
No. 1 of Luxury Hotels in Beijing
Located in the heart of a traditional hutong neighbourhood inside the Beijing Central Axis, the capital's key cultural artery, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing is a remarkable, unique property of just 42 courtyard houses. Intimately connected to the city, its expansive, luxurious accommodations feature exquisite oriental aesthetics and represent the pinnacle of Chinese hospitality. With refined wellness and immersive culinary experiences and a distinguished event setting, contemporary luxury, sumptuous heritage, art and nature combine, just steps from The Forbidden City, Qianmen and The Temple of Heaven.

"Honestly, staying at this hotel for my first time in Beijing truly broadened my horizons and changed my perception of the city. My wife, our child, and I came to Beijing for the May Day holiday. She said since we're here, we might as well splurge and experience a traditional Beijing courtyard. It truly delivered a top-tier luxury experience. The room layout was excellent, the courtyard views were charming, the service was impeccable, and the location was superb with an abundance of food delivery options. Breakfast was all made-to-order. The only thing we missed out on was the bar and hotel activities, but there's always next time. I do have two minor points of discomfort to share, just for reference: 1. When our taxi pulled up to the hotel entrance, a staff member immediately asked me what I was doing there. I was a bit taken aback at first, then explained I was checking in. I'm not blaming him; perhaps I was dressed too casually, but it did feel a little off-putting. 2. On our last day, breakfast felt less crowded, but the food service was incredibly slow. We went at 10 AM, thinking half an hour would be plenty for breakfast, especially since the day before our food arrived in about 15 minutes. This time, we waited half an hour just for the dishes to arrive. Overall, it was absolutely wonderful, and I'd definitely go back if I get the chance. It left a lasting impression, and thinking about it now still brings back such lovely memories, especially sitting in the courtyard at night, listening to music and watching the stars 💫"

"The room wasn't very big, and there wasn't anything particularly new or innovative. If you're going for the design, it's alright. Honestly, the view was just so-so; my favorite part was a waterfall inside, worth checking out if you're interested. Now, for the main point: the overall service quality really didn't match the price. I messaged the butler with my taxi's license plate number as soon as I got off the subway, but they didn't reply even after I had arrived, so I had to walk in. They did send someone to pick me up halfway, though. The service at both restaurants was incredibly bad. Are the staff at RB really that busy? Throughout my entire meal, they only refilled my water once, and I only realized it when I was finished. When I wanted to pay, I couldn't find anyone for ages and had to shout to get someone to come over. I also asked the butler for a pen, and they told me to get one from Rongfu Yan, but it was never delivered. And when I encountered older staff members, they wouldn't greet me, though the younger ones would. I'm really not being overly critical; I've stayed at quite a few hotels and usually can't be bothered to leave reviews. But I think it's completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber to have such a low level of service quality."

"Adison, the front desk agent who helped me check in, was excellent. I took a photo of his name tag intending to write a good review after checking out, but my phone broke at the airport. So, I specifically messaged guest relations again to ask for his name. Zoey and Sharon from the guest services center also deserve a special shout-out; they were great at helping me extend my stay and resolve issues. Out of all the InterContinental hotels I've stayed at, I'd say this one has a high standard of service. From the security guards at the entrance and the concierge to the rooms and restaurants, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Five-star review!"

Beyond its excellent location, the guest rooms are well-maintained, cozy, and comfortable, with soft, warm lighting. The amenities are complete, and the views are fantastic. The staff are enthusiastic, genuine, and hospitable. During this stay, I was fortunate to experience the WoW privileges recently launched by Trip.com for Black Diamond members. Although there were some minor hiccups during the check-in process, they were overshadowed by the positives. My room was upgraded by two categories, from a Deluxe Room to an Executive Room, offering high-floor views directly facing the CCTV Headquarters, providing a panoramic vista of Beijing's bustling CBD. The Black Diamond exclusive welcome amenities were very thoughtful, and the breakfast quality was consistently good. It's worth noting that the gym offers a wide selection of beverages, perfect for rehydrating after a workout – a very thoughtful detail. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance."

This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Facilities: The hotel is relatively new, and the 4th-floor lounge area is beautiful. It's one of the newer hotels in urban Beijing. However, due to its glass structure, there's a noticeable and loud popping sound in the mornings due to thermal expansion and contraction, which really impacts the stay experience. Cleanliness: It's clean, and the toiletries are a full Guerlain set. Environment: The location is excellent, right at Wangfujing No. 1, making travel very convenient. It's close to the subway station and easy to get a taxi, perfect for sightseeing. Service: The service is quite good. A butler contacted me in advance via WeChat, and the concierge proactively helped with luggage to the room. Late checkout was available until 1:30 PM. The welcome fruit included small nectarines and candied hawthorn skewers. The room upgrade was arranged according to Ctrip's perks. On Saturday, I forgot to turn off the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, but after returning from a concert, I called the front desk, and they still arranged for cleaning and turndown service. Overall, the service is very good. I also really liked the weather card and the small peace charm they provided."

This was my partner and my first time vacationing in Miyun, and also our first stay at the Hylla Hotel. The entire trip far exceeded our expectations; it was truly wonderful! I have to specially commend our dedicated concierge, Golden Key Ethan. Before we even arrived, he proactively added us on WeChat to connect, showing incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Knowing we wanted to relax and recuperate, he took the initiative to pre-book Ayurvedic treatments and singing bowl sessions for us at the wellness center. He also thoroughly explained all of the hotel's unique offerings, such as the hillside hot springs, the gymnasium, and the mountain hiking trails, clearly outlining the duration of each activity and any booking注意事项 (important notes). We didn't have to worry about a thing. Throughout our stay, he was incredibly responsive, answering any small questions we had almost instantly. He's reliable, patient, and warm. I later learned he's a professional 'Golden Key' concierge, and his professionalism was evident—it’s rare to find such a dedicated and caring service person. The hotel itself is also outstanding. Tucked away on the hillside, the air is fresh and quiet, with negative oxygen ions reaching 9000! The 12 forest hot springs create an amazing ambiance, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich, far surpassing the quality of a five-star hotel in the city. There’s also a huge kids’ play area, with facilities that cater to both adult relaxation and children's fun. This time it was just my partner and me enjoying a relaxing getaway, and we are completely smitten. We'll definitely bring our daughter and the whole family next time, and we'll certainly ask concierge Ethan to arrange our itinerary again! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short, relaxing getaway in the Beijing suburbs or a family trip. Whether it's the facilities or the thoughtful service, it's absolutely worth making a special trip!

To experience the authentic courtyard atmosphere, I specifically chose the hotel's Hutong Suite. Outside, Beijing was freezing, but as soon as I entered the room, I was instantly warmed. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and in the evening, they even provided a complimentary wellness tea and special small snacks, which was a very thoughtful touch! In the morning, I also enjoyed the hotel's breakfast in-room dining service, recharging for the day in the ancient-style room. A special shout-out to Chloe and Willow, thank you for your warm and attentive service. I will definitely choose to stay here again next season!

Four years later, I'm back to experience the Waldorf Astoria's Steiff Enchanted Forest themed suite! Last time I stayed in a terrace suite, and while this one is a bit smaller, it's still full of childlike wonder. From check-in, every staff member was incredibly proactive and enthusiastic, especially Chloe and Willow, who were exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. The delivery of desserts and the welcome bear visit times were all arranged in advance. The room also came with a cute bear bag and a teddy bear toy 🧸. Last time we were here for our wedding anniversary, and this time for a birthday – the hotel really excels at making special occasions memorable. Although the room isn't huge, it's fully equipped with all the amenities, including two bathrooms and a super spacious bathtub.

Bringing my parents and kids along, choosing this hotel was such a smart move! The service was incredibly attentive, the surroundings were beautiful, and we even got a free upgrade to a suite – the whole family was thrilled. My child was participating in the Spartan race, and the hotel provided a special shuttle service, which was a huge convenience. The food was delicious, and breakfast used high-quality ingredients. My kids even loved the hotel's handicraft class. The window view overlooks the lake at the Beijing Expo Park, with mountains in the distance – the scenery is absolutely stunning, making our stay incredibly comfortable!

A butler was waiting for us while we parked, showing exceptional service. Upon checking in at the lobby, we were offered complimentary snacks and drinks. To my delight, they upgraded our room for free, allowing for a better view of Yanqi Lake. The room table had fruit and wine, and the butler had even prepared aromatherapy. Surprisingly, the bathroom floor was also thoughtfully equipped with a non-slip mat. The butler also brought our luggage to our room, and to my surprise, given the slightly chilly temperature, they even brought down a warm coat from the car – incredibly considerate! We had initially mentioned needing to get our luggage, but only remembered when they went to retrieve it, and then they thoughtfully brought us the warm coat! We also participated in an afternoon cultural tour, which provided a deeper understanding of the hotel's design style and philosophy. The food was excellent, and the hotel facilities, cleanliness, and environment were superb! Not to mention the butler's service – it was exceptional! I highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Yanqi Lake. If we go again in the future, we will definitely choose Yanbai Mountain Villa again!

I stayed at the Yanqi Hotel for the last two days of the May Day holiday. I thought there would be fewer people as the holiday was winding down, but even at this price, the hotel was still fully booked. The hotel is divided into a main building and a villa area. The main building isn't large, only three stories, which makes getting around more convenient. The villa area is quiet and secluded, offering more privacy. It's managed by the Kempinski Group, just like the Sunrise Kempinski. If you're staying at Sunrise Kempinski, you can register your car plate to access the island. If you just want to explore Yanqi Island, booking afternoon tea also grants you access. While hiking from the P5 parking lot of the Xishan Trail, I kept looking at the Yanqi Pagoda and the lawn on the island. After visiting in person, I found the scenery was indeed as beautiful as the pictures. However, staying here solely for the view isn't very cost-effective, as a room in the main building for 3000-4000 RMB a night is quite high. Overall, I didn't experience the level of service expected from a five-star hotel, likely due to the large holiday crowds. The food was even more disappointing. Both breakfast and the dinner buffet didn't live up to five-star standards, leading to a very poor experience.

Pros: 1. The room is spacious, with two beds comfortably accommodating 4 people, plus a bunk bed. 2. The view is fantastic, offering an unobstructed panorama of the entire dam and Yanqi Lake. 3. There are plenty of toys for kids, which my children absolutely loved. They are also of good quality and include a star projector, a slide, and a small tent. 4. The location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the dam, and bicycle rentals are available. 5. The electronic amenities seem good, like the Bose speaker system, although I didn't get a chance to use it. Cons: 1. The details are far from what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. For instance, there's no non-slip mat in the shower area, nor any plastic non-slip slippers, making it very easy to slip. The toilet is old and crooked, which is frankly speechless. The shower also flooded into the main bathroom area. For a room meant for five people, there was only one tiny trash can that filled up quickly. 2. There's no room service. I could understand if it was busy, but when I went to the restaurant, it was mostly empty with only one or two tables occupied. 3. The complimentary water and drinks provided were also quite subpar.

China World Summit Wing, Beijing, A Shangri-La Hotel

I can’t recommend China World Summit Wing, Beijing, managed by Shangri-La, highly enough. As someone who has stayed at many of the world’s finest hotels, the level of care my son and I received here truly stood out. If you’re visiting Beijing, this is the hotel I would recommend without hesitation. Perched at the top of Beijing’s tallest hotel, the views are spectacular—but what impressed me most was the people. My son only likes one particular variety of apple. After Christina, the restaurant manager, noticed this, she quietly made sure that two of his favorite apples were prepared for him every single day so he would never be disappointed. It’s such a small gesture, yet it speaks volumes about the genuine care this team has for its guests. Another unforgettable moment happened at the spa. My son became so relaxed during his treatment that he fell fast asleep. Rather than waking him, Emma and Lily from the spa gently carried him all the way back to our room on the 17th floor so he could continue sleeping peacefully. Luxury is beautiful design and breathtaking views. True luxury is when people care about you without being asked. Thank you, Christina, Emma, Lily, and every member of the team for making our stay so memorable. We will absolutely be back.

Hotel Éclat Beijing truly lives up to its reputation! My stay in the Premier Terrace Deluxe King Room was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and bright, and the terrace was incredibly comfortable. Being under the glass dome of Parkview Green, you get to enjoy natural light without worrying about the weather. A special thank you goes to Damon Willram for his thoughtful service. From check-in, he was exceptionally professional and enthusiastic, thoroughly explaining the hotel's facilities and the surrounding area. He even helped us with a late check-out, making the entire process incredibly smooth. The hotel itself is an art museum, with masterworks everywhere. The art tour service was very professional, giving us a deeper understanding of these pieces. The travel photographer was also very skilled, and the photos turned out wonderfully. Breakfast offered a wide variety and tasted excellent. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Beijing!

I've always loved the high-altitude city views at Park Hyatt, and Concierge Legorie's service left a deep impression. The online communication throughout was incredibly smooth; they confirmed my arrival arrangements in advance, and any requests I had after checking in were handled efficiently and appropriately. The room was quiet and comfortable, with fantastic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The concierge was enthusiastic yet discreet, not bothering me too often, which was both peaceful and thoughtful. Highly recommended for any trip.
