Crystal Orange (Beijing International Trade Jianguomen)

9.9/10
Perfect

Our trip to Beijing started at another hotel, but we moved to this Orange Crystal as the previous one near Sanlitun was just awful. As a mid-range chain hotel, the bare minimum I expect is cleanliness, tidiness, and a quiet environment. This Orange Crystal, however, far exceeded my expectations. We checked in around midnight, and the front desk staff were all incredibly warm, enthusiastic about their work, and very friendly to our child. They even gave our little one snacks and a toy, which was such a thoughtful gesture given how late we were checking in – it really warmed our hearts. The hotel and rooms felt very clean and hygienic, with no strange odors, and it was generally quiet and comfortable. We slept wonderfully during our four-night stay. The restaurant also seemed very clean and well-organized, and the location is good. I've stayed in a few hotels in Beijing, and if you're looking for a chain, this one is definitely worth recommending.

Our overall stay was perfect, we were thoroughly satisfied with everything. The hotel's location is excellent, close to a shopping district and the subway, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The front desk staff were gentle and professional, and even proactively offered tips for local sightseeing. Room hygiene was impeccable, the entire room was spotless, and the bathroom with its separate wet and dry areas was clean and odor-free. The toiletries were comprehensive and of good quality. The mattress was just right in terms of firmness, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. Public areas were clean and tidy, and the self-service laundry and other facilities were well-maintained and easy to use. The service throughout was thoughtful and unobtrusive. It offers incredible value for money, making it suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I wholeheartedly recommend it, and it will be our first choice next time we visit!

Of our entire family trip to Beijing, the Grand Hotel Beijing was, without a doubt, the absolute highlight and most memorable part of our journey. We arrived a bit early with our child, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, arranging an early check-in for us. To our delightful surprise, they even upgraded us to a suite (we had booked a Quadruple Ancient Capital View Room for four nights)! The room was simply stunning, with an elegant, distinctly oriental decor and a serene, tranquil atmosphere. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring we got high-quality rest every night after days of busy sightseeing. I want to extend a special thank you to Ms. Jian Hongjuan from guest services. She kept our room impeccably clean every day, and her politeness, thoughtfulness, and meticulous attention to detail were truly professional. During our stay, there were some scattered showers in Beijing, and she even kindly lent me her own umbrella. Because of her, my positive impression of the Grand Hotel Beijing was elevated even further. From its prime location, excellent facilities, and high-quality dining to its human-centric service, every detail of this hotel made us feel incredibly comfortable. The overall experience far exceeded our expectations. This truly wonderful stay added a rich, atmospheric touch to my Beijing trip. In the future, whenever I return to Beijing, the Grand Hotel will always be my top choice!

The location is fantastic, directly connected to China World Mall, making it super convenient to walk to. The hotel's overall ambiance is stylish and comfortable, with direct views of the CCTV Tower from the window, offering great CBD cityscapes. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and handled check-in efficiently and patiently, providing a perfect service experience. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, with a well-organized layout, making for a very comfortable stay. The only minor downside was the breakfast area; service was a bit slow during meals. I hope the restaurant service can improve in the future. Overall, it's still excellent, especially the front desk attendant who was gentle and professional, handled procedures quickly, and responded promptly to any requests. Housekeeping cleaned the room meticulously every day, even the corners were spotless, and amenities were neatly arranged. It's a very comfortable place to stay, making it my top choice for business trips or vacations.

Traveling to Beijing with kids, I was overwhelmed by the hotel choices because rooms in Beijing are generally quite small. Finding this hotel was truly a gem! **Amenities:** We booked a 50-square-meter room. The bathroom was incredibly spacious, and there was a bar area complete with kitchenware, an induction cooktop, microwave, and tableware – a really pleasant surprise for us. There was also a small living area. The only minor drawback was that the two beds were a bit small; it would be perfect if they were larger. **Cleanliness:** It was very clean, with virtually no hygiene blind spots. **Environment:** The hotel is located opposite Wanguo Community, so it was extremely quiet at night, and the soundproofing was excellent. Our trip to Beijing was quite tiring, so having a quiet environment at night was crucial for good rest and sleep. **Service:** The service was proactive and enthusiastic; they were always available when called upon. We were out most of the day and only returned to the hotel at night, but the robot delivery for takeout and such was always prompt. Furthermore, the hotel is very close to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient to get around. When visiting Beijing, choosing a hotel near the subway is definitely the way to go. Overall, I highly recommend it – a great stay!

The hotel upgraded us to apartments in a condominium nearby. The apartments are very spacious, well equipped, secured, and clean. The location is a distance away to the city centre, but with private transport, there's no issue. Nearby the hotel there're some shops, and a row of eateries with local food and local prices. The reception desk staff especially Sunny, Tina and Rebecca are warm, helpful, and responsive. Compliments to their excellent service. The only negative point is the breakfast which is outsourced to an adjacent cafe - the variety should be improved. We took the breakfast only once, and make our own in the apartments for the rest of the stay.

Jade Garden Hotel

The Jade Garden Hotel is listed as having four stars but should probably be between two and three stars, realistically. The location is great for anyone who wants to be central and close to the Forbidden City, Wangfujing and other sights. Its historic value is interesting as well and I enjoyed the exhibition in the side lobby. My room was okay and the noise reduction by the windows was great - it overlooked a very busy crossing and yet I heard no traffic noise. Bed linen and towels were clean as were the tub and toilet - but the room had a LOT of dust in various places: window sill, electric water kettle, on power outlets and doors…also, the furniture looks VERY used, the bathtub was discolored in places (though clean) and some equipment is sagging; the overall impression was not of a four star hotel room. The breakfast buffet was good but again: the impression is of two - three stars. What is impressive is the speed of reaction to pressing “please make up room” button! Otherwise the staff was polite enough but not outstandingly friendly or enthusiastic. For the location, the price was still acceptable, although the dust did detract from its potential charm.

Traveling to Beijing for a business trip, I needed a hotel close to Tiananmen Square and 1949 The Hidden City (Quanjude). As an InterContinental Platinum member, I used to stay at the Regent, but now I've switched to the Legendale. The location is excellent, it offers great value for money, and I was pleasantly surprised with a suite upgrade. The amenities in the room are high quality, no expense spared, giving off a vibe of upward mobility. The breakfast fruit was delicious, and the room itself was very well-maintained. My only minor complaint is that the hairdryer isn't a newer model; I hope they can update it soon.

During the Dragon Boat Festival, my relatives brought their kids to Beijing, and I still recommended this hotel. The hotel's location is excellent, close to all the attractions, and transportation is convenient, making shopping easy. I'll definitely recommend this place again next time.

Here I am again, after less than a month! This time I even braved a heavy downpour to get here. My flight circled over Beijing for an hour before landing, so I didn't get to the hotel until after midnight. It was another one of those check-in and check-out on the same day trips. I was already feeling pretty groggy, but thankfully, Bella at the front desk was incredibly warm and enthusiastic. She handled everything super quickly and thoughtfully, getting me checked in no time. Once I got to the room, I even bothered the staff to open and close the window for me. They made two trips late at night – I'm really grateful, though I regret not catching their names. This time, my room had an even better view! When I woke up in the morning, the sun was even out, and my mood instantly brightened, just like the weather. I got back late from lunch, but luckily, they extended my check-out time. By the way, I once again ran into the ever-elegant Ms. Rose Xiao. She checked out my room card for me at the very last minute. This trip was truly a whirlwind. As expected, after the storm, there's always sunshine! (I hope I got both employees' names right; I always worry about misspelling them.)
