A Pleasant Stay at a Brand-New Hanting Hotel in Beijing.
I recently stayed at this Hanting Hotel in Beijing during a winter trip in December 2025, and it turned out to be a great budget-friendly choice. As a brand-new property (opened right around this time), everything felt fresh and modern, which made the experience stand out compared to older chain hotels.
The staff are friendly and pro-active to help considering my limited chinese. I give them 5 out 5 stars because thats is the same service level i get when i am in 5 star hotel.
Location:
The hotel is conveniently situated just outside a residential complex, literally a one-minute walk to the main street. It’s quiet yet accessible perfect for avoiding the hustle of central Beijing while still being close to amenities, shops, and transport options. No complaints here; it struck a nice balance between peace and convenience.
Facilities and Design:
The lobby is cozy and appropriately sized—not too grand, but welcoming. What surprised me pleasantly was how large the hotel actually is once you explore it. The overall design theme is warm and relaxing, with soothing tones and modern touches that create a calming atmosphere throughout.
Room Experience:
For the price point, the room was impressively spacious. It was sparkling clean (as expected from a new hotel), with a large, comfy bed topped with four plush pillow, perfect for a good night’s rest. There’s a big TV, and the bathroom is a decent size with a spacious shower and toilet.
Winter in Beijing can be brutal, but the heater worked wonderfully, keeping the room toasty and comfortable. The real highlight was the smart features: voice commands control everything, lights, curtains, TV, and other appliances. It felt futuristic and super convenient!
The One Drawback:
The only downside I encountered was a lingering smoke smell in the corridor near the elevators on the second night. Apparently, a guest had smoked while walking to his room, and while the staff responded quickly by spraying air freshener, the ventilation system didn’t fully clear it out.
I understand that smoking tolerance can be more lenient in some places in China (even in restaurants), but for a brand-new hotel in the capital, I hoped they’d enforce stricter no-smoking policies to set a better standard. It didn’t ruin the stay, but it was noticeable.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this Hanting Hotel exceeded my expectations for a budget chain, clean, modern, comfortable, and packed with thoughtful features like voice control and solid service from all the staffs. It’s a solid option for travelers wanting value without sacrificing quality. I’d stay again and recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something new and relaxing in Beijing.
Just hope they tighten up on the smoking rules moving forward!

NadineStaThis hotel was very convinient for us. Its directly at a metro Station that connects the city with the airport. Therefore we were quickly there, sadly most of Bejings Metro Station dont have Elevator or escalator so it was a bit of the struggele but still convenienct location. We started a trip with Mubus to Great Wall, meeting point was very close 3 Minute walk. Metro also 3 minutes walk. Hotel room big enough and clean. For non chinese speaker the Air Con at least in our room was a struggel since it was speak activated. The cleaning lady was very helpful and started it for is. We ask the man at the reception to speak us an audio message so that we could stop it. This should be opimised since the hotel welcomes foreigners. Loved the Option to recieve Packages over this hotel since my friend ordered stuff from Taobao for me and send it to the hotel even days before i arived, much appriciated.

Guest UserWe only spent one night in the room, but the experience was good. The room was clean, there were plenty of towels, two pairs of slippers, and plenty of pillows. The bathroom had all the necessary accessories. We liked everything. The room didn't have a window, but we didn't really need one. The air conditioning and huge TV worked great. We were happy with everything.

This hotel offers the best value for money in the area; other hotels nearby cost 400-500 yuan and have smaller rooms. The location is excellent, very close to Dongzhimen and Yonghegong Temple, with plenty of dining options nearby. We arrived at 10 PM and were given complimentary roasted sweet potatoes, and they even upgraded our room! The room was spacious, featuring a massage chair and a bathtub. We are very satisfied!

Facilities: This was my first time staying at this hotel, so I went in with an open mind. As soon as I entered, I was struck by the unique ambiance. The lobby is incredibly clean and tidy. The hotel entrance is quite grand, with large glass doors, which can make it a little hard to spot initially since it's on a main street. Once inside, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming.
Service: The service was excellent. They saw I had several large suitcases and very enthusiastically came down to help me with my luggage. The service was genuinely warm, and check-in was incredibly fast. The front desk staff are exceptionally well-trained.
Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean and tidy. The cleanliness standards are excellent, especially for a budget hotel. While it might not quite meet the standards of a star-rated hotel (everyone's standards differ, after all), for me, it was very clean. I even took photos of their big bed and the public areas to show how spotless they were – not a speck of rubbish anywhere you looked.
Environment: The environment gives off a simple and unpretentious vibe.
Service: I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again for my next stay. The main reason is their excellent value for money. The hotel's price is very affordable, cheaper than other hotels in the area, so it's definitely worth it.

The room isn't huge, but it has everything you need and is very clean. The two 1.35-meter beds were enough for two adults and two children. It's a five-minute walk from the subway station and located in Anpingli Hutong, though taxis can only drop you off at the hutong entrance. The front desk staff were very friendly. The only downside was the lack of an elevator; our room was on the fourth floor, so climbing the stairs after a tiring day out was a bit much.

I have been staying in this hotel since I came back a few years ago. It is very humane and upgraded me to a standard room on a high floor for free. I asked for a few more pairs of slippers, and they were given to me the day before yesterday. The price-performance ratio is very high. I will stay here again next time.

I had a decent stay but I experienced two major problems with this hotel.
The first was right at the start after I arrived at 4.30pm (checkin is from 2pm) and was told the only available room had a plumbing issue and was asked if I wanted to leave my stuff and come back. Obviously after just having arrived in Beijing after a long train ride from another city and a long subway ride, I wanted to check into a room and change first, so I said I could wait until the room was ready. The floor was wet due to a leaking bathroom faucet and afterwards a repairman came to fix it.
The second issue was noisy staff who were loud in the mornings and evenings, which impacted me as my room was on the ground floor. This is despite the hotel being small and not particularly busy. On my final morning (I stayed there 4 nights), the staff were really noisy from 7.30am and remained so for at least half an hour. It didn't even sound like there was any problem or argument, they were just being loud and disruptive, which is unprofessional.
There's also a minor issue in which the hotel address number on Trip.com and the number on the front door do not match up. I had an issue finding this hotel though I accidentally found it when I walked into it and asked a staff about my hotel address (she looked at it and said ”this is it!”).
My room, after the faucet issue was fixed, was decent and comfortable. The location is good, being a few minutes away from Dongsi station and a large Wu-mart supermarket and Longfu Temple mall.
