4G/LTE is good throughout cities and popular tourist spots. Expect good coverage in Lima, Cusco, Miraflores, and the Sacred Valley. Most restaurants, hotels, and plazas have good mobile coverage. Google Maps, WhatsApp, and Uber all work well.
Don’t worry, Machu Picchu is not a dead zone. The town of Aguas Calientes has good 4G coverage. At the citadel, mobile coverage is a bit patchy, with some areas having coverage and others not. It’s a good idea to download your ticket and map before going up.
