Great location and friendly staff. The shower conditioner dispenser was empty, and for a three-night stay we were only provided with what amounted to about a quarter of a roll of toilet paper, which was a little inconvenient. We could have mentioned it to reception during our stay and are confident it would have been resolved promptly. Aside from these minor issues, we had a good stay overall and would happily recommend this hotel.

Overall is great, but still feel the whole hotel a little old, and one point: we asked the receptionist for shaver and toothbrush, he said all in the room, but actually there’s nothing. We need to phone service team for several times ( we only asked one thing first cause we believed there are everything except that one, then we found others were not there……), really inconvenient.
The food is great, and the guy there is very friendly!

My daughter and I stayed for four nights during our five-day trip to Wellington, and the hotel met all my expectations. First, its central location is incredibly convenient, right across from the Old Bank. There's a bus stop downstairs, making it easy to get to the airport and train station, and most attractions are within walking distance. Second, it was clean, spacious, and quiet. Being on the 21st floor, the air and sunlight were lovely, and we slept very well. Third, the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and basic tableware, allowing us to prepare simple meals. All in all, I highly recommend it.

The hotel is in the city center. If you have a car after booking with Ctrip, you will need to pay an additional 35 dollars for parking (from the same day to 2 pm the next day, it is not expensive. Parking in the city center is very expensive, about 6 dollars an hour, so the 35 dollars is still worth it. ), there are dedicated hotel parking spaces on the first floor of the parking lot opposite
, the room is not big, the water is big and very comfortable. It is located in the city center next to the bar. It is noisy at night, but it is acceptable to sleep late. However, the sound insulation of the room is too poor. There is a child in the next room who wants to sleep well early in the morning.
The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding, and the soundproofing was good, so I had a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and professional, and check-in and check-out were very efficient. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations; it's great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommended.

We arrived late and tired after a 4 hour drive and climbing Mt Taranaki. We must have looked a right state!
Really appreciated the staff letting us leave the car on the driveway so we could get a shower and go to bed to catch our early morning ferry over the the South Island straight away! The check out next morning was quick and they had our car ready to leave us.
A warm shower and comfy bed has never been more welcome!

A great hotel exemplified by the very strong hospitality offered upon check-in. Room upgrade offered for a very small fee, checks undertaken and even a free, warmed cookie.
Upgraded room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the waterfront and a selection of great eateries. Breakfast was very good and lots to choose from. Would definitely use again.

In the heart of the downtown city close to the action if you like to go out in the evening. We missed the airco as it was warm on our room. We had nice view on the church next to the hotel

The location of the room is very good. It's on the main street, with shops and restaurants nearby. It's not far from the parliament building, so it's very convenient to go everywhere. It's quite quiet at night.
We had an early flight and arrived at the hotel before 11 o'clock. They actually let us check in early. Thank you very much! You can rest and relieve the fatigue of getting up early, and have more energy to play.
Next to it is the mountain cable car station, and it is also very convenient to go to the National Museum.

EExploring our one precious worldStayed one night at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor for a conference held onsite.
Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel has three separate lift banks servicing different areas — if you’re unfamiliar with Wellington, definitely ask staff to explain the easiest exit route to the city. It makes a big difference.
Breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of options, though I’ve experienced better quality elsewhere.
The hotel itself is older but has solid bones. Perfectly adequate for a work overnight stay. For personal travel I’d probably choose somewhere with more atmosphere, however it felt safe and comfortable.
One odd feature: some rooms face an internal terrace/window area — remember to close your curtains as people can see straight in.
Bed was clean and well made, the room was tidy, though the carpet is showing its age. The shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water — a highlight.
Overall: reliable, practical conference accommodation rather than a destination stay.
GGuest UserSeriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t open until 6am”
No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.
Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.
No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.
$45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!

GGuest UserNaumi Hotel is a very fun funky decorated hotel. The size of the room was fantastic but the barroom is on the small size. Also there is no robes. Loved the sofa and size of the TV. I would definitely stay at this hotel again
GGuest UserWe had 1 night stay. Good facilities, like pool, Spa, Restaurant, however a few things need to improve to reach 4 star, like stated.
Our room was clean and tidy but some lights up in the ceiling were out, basin in the bathroom was very cracked.
We had dinner at the restaurant. I ordered pizza, where the dough was slightly undercooked, no crisp, sloppy.
Filter coffee at breakfast, that was included had a colour of weak tea. But you were offered to pay extra for a coffee on top of $30, you already paid for a buffet breakfast.
Previously stayed here before, but I think it needs a lot of improvements as it's gone down quite a bit.
BBetty153The room was a bit small, but fully functional, easy to find, and relatively quiet. There's a H Mart nearby which was very convenient. It wasn't until the second day when I was out strolling that I realized the Parliament building was right next door, so I popped in for a visit. I saw some complaints on Google Maps about expensive parking, but I didn't drive, so I didn't experience any inconvenience.
The front desk staff on my first day was an Indian guy who was generally understandable. The lady at the front desk on the second day was very enthusiastic.
Cleanliness: The hallway had a distinct smell, like a mix of Sichuan and ******* areas... and there was a lingering masculine scent in the room, which required airing out for quite a while. Other than that, I don't have many complaints.
