Guest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding, and the soundproofing was good, so I had a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and professional, and check-in and check-out were very efficient. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations; it's great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommended.

The hotel is ideally located, close to the action on Queen Street. The room itself was compact. The safe didn't work and needed a battery replacement. That's relatively minor. More interestingly, there was nowhere to air clothes (e.g. after a gym session) and very limited clothing hooks. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low for my liking. However, I had a city-side room high above that provided me with alaxing views of the city. Reception staff were excellent and very responsive.

Location-wise, it's right by Wellington train station, making it a great choice if you're arriving by train or heading to London.
Facilities: They're quite old. The air conditioning was one of those large, vintage units I'd never seen before, and it was incredibly noisy, so I just turned it off. The room had a microwave and cutlery, and surprisingly, a mini-bar – which you usually don't find in hotels at this price point. However, there was a snag: no price list for the mini-bar. While I knew the bottled water in the fridge wouldn't be free, I was still surprised to be charged $7 upon checkout (when a similar bottle is around $2.50 at the supermarket).
Service: The downstairs restaurant has long operating hours. I was able to order a delicious burger after a late check-in, and grab a coffee and a pastry to go during an early checkout. Most of my positive impression comes from that restaurant.

XiaozhongThe room was surprisingly spacious and very well-equipped. It had a washing machine and dryer, and you could even cook. What's even better is its central location. At just over 400 a night, it's highly recommended. It's very close to both the Cuban Street market and the city center, and the soundproofing is also quite good.

RufengGreat location! There's a Countdown supermarket just a 3-minute walk away, Cuba Street is about 15 minutes on foot, and the National Museum is only 5-6 minutes. It's relatively affordable, although parking is $50 a day for valet, as parking around here is tough. The rooms have cooking facilities, and there's a small pool plus a hot tub. For this price and location, I think it's pretty good. It's about a 15-minute drive to the ferry terminal, perfect for catching an early boat. The art collection at the hotel is truly impressive; I looked it up and the owner is a very well-known local collector.

Anonymous UserThe check in process was very slow and the 2 males on the desk were not welcoming or friendly. The rooms were an ok size and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaners did a great job though the shower could do with a deep clean. There was no toaster in the room but it did have a microwave and kettle with tea and coffee (no hot choc). Curtains were nice and black out but there was a noisy bar court yard downstairs we could still hear quite clearly from floor 16. While there was no AC a fan and a heater were supplied. It was very close to the centre of town and did have parking if needed. We used Clifton carpark as the cheapest parking we have found in town max $26 per day.

Great spacious room, perfect for families. The bathtub was an added bonus I love that you can get Netflix and Disney Great breakfast lots of variety. Only disappointment was that the pool and spa are no longer an option being an extra plus on a rainy day with the kids but overall didn't diminish a positive experience.

Guest UserWe had 1 night stay. Good facilities, like pool, Spa, Restaurant, however a few things need to improve to reach 4 star, like stated.
Our room was clean and tidy but some lights up in the ceiling were out, basin in the bathroom was very cracked.
We had dinner at the restaurant. I ordered pizza, where the dough was slightly undercooked, no crisp, sloppy.
Filter coffee at breakfast, that was included had a colour of weak tea. But you were offered to pay extra for a coffee on top of $30, you already paid for a buffet breakfast.
Previously stayed here before, but I think it needs a lot of improvements as it's gone down quite a bit.
