Sam’s Town in Shreveport offers a solid mix of comfort, fun, and Southern charm. The hotel has a classic ****** feel — not super flashy, but clean, welcoming, and relaxed. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and nice views of the Red River or downtown depending on your side. Some areas could use a little updating, but overall, it's a cozy stay.
The ****** floor is a good size with a variety of **** ******** and table games, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurants on-site, like Smokey Joe’s Café, serve up good food, especially if you’re craving hearty, Southern-style meals.
It’s not as wild as bigger city casinos, but that’s part of the charm — it’s more laid-back, and you don't feel overwhelmed. Plus, the location is great, with easy access to downtown Shreveport.
Overall, it’s a great spot for a weekend getaway if you want a little ****** action with a friendly, relaxed vibe.
Easy to use Trip.com app/site. Got a good rate, room was large and roomy! Bed could have been more comfortable. More pillows would have been better, too
The pool and jacuzzi area were nice. However, the jacuzzi was not hot it was more of a heated pool experience with bubbles! The slide was closed 😪 the attendant said it hasn't been on all summer! Except when the pool is closed to circulate the water. We were very disappointed!

We came to celebrate my birthday and the room was clean, comfortable and customer service excellent. We had purchased the breakfast online option to our room and this saved us about $30 or so on the breakfast buffet, which had your normal things on it but it was fresh, hot and good service. Would definitely stay here again.

廖廖The hotel rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, but compared to high-end star hotels, the facilities are average and the price/performance ratio is not bad. It is suitable for family travel!
MMadison Carolyn KateCheck in was easy and staff was friendly. The hotel is only a 5 min drive from the airport. They have a shuttle that goes to/from the airport every hour. You will need to call or email after booking to get the shuttle times if you plan to use it.
JJINThe location is very good, super close to the French Quarter. However, the location of the room is very poor. The windows are facing the high wall opposite the Hutong.
MMoe Life nolaGreat breakfast, location wonderful, staff was helpful with directions towards canal street, bourbon street 5min week ,right in the center of all the action
GGuest UserEverything was great from the staff from the rooms being clean nice comfortable everything work but the only thing they still have DirecTV and no movie channels on Netflix when I stay in the hotel I like to watch movies
BBrian Rose HensleyThe shower did not have enough pressure so it was hard to feel clean/get soap out. Another friend's shower had too much power and sprayed hard in multiple crazy directions. The vanity mirror light did not work in most of the rooms our friends had but it did in ours. And the lighting in the rooms is very minimal so that mirror is necessary. The street was sometimes closed off due to construction so Lyft drivers were easily confused, but sometimes it wasn't. We woke up one morning at 8 am to the sound of a jack hammer right outside the window. It didn't stop that morning but the lady at the front desk did call and make sure it didn't happen again which we very much appreciated. When we checked in, there was a water station in the lobby. It broke and they did not set up another one, but said we would need to go to the main hotel to get water. There were a lot of negatives but the rooms themselves are very large and lofty (as the name suggests). It has a TON of potential but needs better service/management.
LL. VegaWe arrived at 2:30 AM and there was somebody to guide us with a check in and how to get to our bedroom.
Our bedroom was impeccable, same as the bathroom.
This hotel has kept the old style and it is a very charming place that is kept really nice.
The room was very comfortable. It also has the old style and it is very cozy and nice.
The bathroom in our room is 100% remodeled and it is now really nice
We stayed for three days and during our stay, we were never bothered by knockings on the door or anything like that. It’s a very nice and quiet place to stay.
We were very happy with the way the room is set up and the way it is decorated, and it is good to mention that the bed was also set up really nice and it is a very comfortable bed
We did not have the chance to eat in the hotel, or to use the bar but everything looked really nice to us. Overall, we were very happy throughout our stay, and we would recommend this place fully.
AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel was close to the downtown area. I was able to stay in a clean room with a city view at a reasonable price. The staff were all friendly too. Valet service is provided for a parking fee of about $45, but most nearby hotels also require a parking fee.
