This is an accommodation in a hundreds year old An Hui style complex inside the world heritage site Xidi. The room is modernized with flush toilet, air-con and voice controlled lighting. The host was very helpful. Dinner at neighbor’s home cooking style restaurant converted from 300 year old hall was lovely experience. Checking in at sunset and leaving in the morning allowed us to visit the village with minimal tourists.

We stayed at Jiuhuashan Alley Homestay (Huachengsi Branch) with our family, and it was without question one of the most satisfying accommodations we have experienced in recent years. From the very beginning to the moment we checked out, everything felt thoughtful, well-organized, and genuinely welcoming. What really sets this place apart is not just the beautiful property, but the level of care and service provided throughout the entire stay. Even before our arrival, the host proactively contacted us via WeChat to confirm details and assist with planning. Communication was extremely smooth and responsive — no matter what time of day we had questions, we always received quick and helpful replies. For a destination like Jiuhua Mountain, where logistics and routes can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors, this kind of support makes a huge difference and immediately puts you at ease. The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with a layout that worked perfectly for a family stay. Unlike many homestays that feel cramped, this room had plenty of space to relax, unpack, and truly rest. The bedding was clean and soft, and the overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, allowing us to sleep extremely well. Housekeeping standards were excellent — everything felt carefully maintained and spotlessly clean. One of the highlights of our stay was the afternoon tea, which was freely available and not limited or rushed. This wasn’t just a symbolic offering; it was something you could genuinely enjoy at your own pace. Sitting down in such a peaceful environment with tea and snacks after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. It added a sense of warmth and hospitality that you don’t often find, especially in scenic-area accommodations. Throughout our stay, the host remained available and attentive without ever being intrusive. Whether we needed advice on sightseeing routes, dining recommendations, or small practical help, everything was handled patiently and efficiently. You truly feel that the host cares about your experience, not just about running a business. Traveling with family can sometimes be stressful, but staying here made everything feel effortless. The location is another strong advantage. Situated near Huacheng Temple, the homestay is in a quiet area that feels removed from crowds, yet it’s still very convenient for visiting key temples and attractions. Evenings were peaceful and silent, which is exactly what you want after a full day at Jiuhua Mountain. The surrounding atmosphere perfectly matches the calm and reflective nature of the destination. What impressed us most was the overall sense of being well taken care of. This is not a place where service is performative or scripted — it feels sincere and consistent. From the communication, to the comfort of the room, to the little details like afternoon tea and thoughtful guidance, everything worked together to create a genuinely memorable stay. Facilities: The hotel only has nine uniquely designed rooms. Cleanliness: Upon arrival, the Huaying Room wasn't ready, so we were upgraded to the Tianjing Room, which offered a magnificent view. Environment: Perched on Huangshan's peak, with clouds swirling, it's the most beautiful mountain scenery I've seen since Dayi Valley. The only challenge is the half-hour stone-stepped mountain path to and from the cable car, which isn't suitable for those who don't exercise regularly. My calves were sore for days afterward, haha. Service: There are many unique experience programs, such as tea ceremonies and incense burning. The staff at the restaurant were also very warm and welcoming. Considering the inconveniences of being high up in the mountains, the service was impeccable.

The best 4 days ever! Highly recommend this hotel! We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination! On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient. I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant. Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it! The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed. The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey. There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times. The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes. A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather! The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains! He also called us in advance before our arrival to confirm our plans and helped arrange a transfer to the train station after check-out. It's a little far from Namdaemun, about ten minutes' drive, but the owner of the B&B is very nice, pick up and drop off. I arrived a day in advance and wanted to store my luggage up the mountain. I called and he immediately drove to move my luggage. It was very quick, so it's no problem if you don't drive yourself. The room is relatively new and clean, and there is a large terrace. Next to it is a small river with very clear water. The environment feels better than some hotels at the foot of the mountain. The breakfast is relatively simple, and you can add more if it's not enough. I just came back from climbing the mountain and I was not feeling well and wanted to eat something light. Overall, I still recommend it

I was attracted by the pictures, but I was a little disappointed by this homestay in the ancient town. After all, you can stay in a very good hotel in Wuhu at this price. Let's talk about the general environment of the ancient town first. It is said that tickets are charged on holidays. Few shops are open at night, and there are few people in the morning. It is said that there are performances, but there is nothing suitable for children after looking at the program list. Many shops are closed, and the streets with closed doors can also show that they were once prosperous. It should be good. Let's talk about the hotel. The room area is OK and the environment is generally good, but my child is afraid of the slide and thinks it is too steep. I tried it myself and it was true, so I lost one of the fun of booking this room. The breakfast is really incomparable to star hotels. It is matched by the owner himself. I saw the reviews before that the small animals that can be fed were only empty cages. There was a cat. The baby could only play with the cat for a while. On the way to the room, I had to pass the cat house. The smell almost made me faint. There are also advantages. In terms of service, the boss contacted in advance. When I arrived, the boss went to the door to pick up the tickets in person. There were several times in the middle when the remote control and bed sheets were replaced. The boss solved it quickly. The owner of the B&B is indeed very responsive to the guests' service and has a very good attitude. The air conditioning in the room is very powerful, the terrace is quite comfortable, and it feels good to sit on the terrace as the sun sets. Overall, I gave it a score of four, and I hope it can be better. Or the price can be more affordable.

Even compared with those hotels, the overall design philosophy of Luming Valley, the meticulous attention to both interior and exterior details, the restaurant cuisine, and the service provided by the staff are all truly top-tier. Mr. and Mrs. Zhu are exceptionally warm and hospitable, and the story behind their creation of this hotel was deeply moving. It added many wonderful memories to our trip to Huangshan. My stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful. I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge. The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day. The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night. The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre. In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family. I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language. I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

Our stay at Shan Yu Sheng Huo was by far the best part of our trip to Mount Huangshan. The actual experience far exceeded our expectations, making it a truly relaxing and comfortable stay. Tucked away among tea plantations and bamboo groves, the guesthouse is not far from Tangkou Town, yet far enough to escape the hustle and bustle. The minimalist, upscale architecture blends harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Stepping into the courtyard, the air is filled with the fresh scent of greenery. After a tiring hike up Mount Huangshan, returning here instantly brought a sense of peace and relaxation. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with every corner of the floor and bathroom spotless. The large floor-to-ceiling windows look straight out into the mountain forests. Waking up in the morning and drawing the curtains to see a light mist drifting over the tea gardens was incredibly therapeutic. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the toiletries were of high quality, and the thoughtful details were evident. It was quiet at night, ensuring a wonderful quality of sleep. The staff were warm, genuine, and efficient at check-in. They also proactively explained hiking routes and useful tips to us. The public areas are full of ambiance; the tea room and courtyard are great for strolling or sitting awhile, and every snapshot looks like a postcard. All three meals are available at the guesthouse. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local flatbreads and wholesome side dishes, making for a very comforting start to the day. For dinner, we ordered Anhui cuisine, which tasted authentic. Dishes like the stenciled mandarin fish and free-range chicken soup featured fresh ingredients and rivaled any outside restaurant, saving us the trouble of heading into town and making things so much easier. The location is very convenient for hikers, being quite close to the Mount Huangshan South Gate Transfer Center, making travel easy, and there is ample parking for self-driving guests. After a whole day of exhausting climbing, coming back to the guesthouse to rest and feel the mountain breeze made most of the fatigue melt away. It combines the aesthetic appeal of a designer guesthouse with down-to-earth, attentive service—it's not one of those Instagram-famous spots that just looks good but lacks comfort. It's ideal whether you're here for hiking or just a leisurely getaway. I genuinely recommend this place for anyone visiting Mount Huangshan, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time.
