Guest UserThis homestay really exceeded expectations, the decoration style is elegant and beautiful, the facilities are complete, and the bedding is soft and sleeps particularly peaceful. The surrounding environment is quiet and comfortable, and it is particularly healing from the hustle and bustle. The landlord is kind and easy-going, and the answer is very intimate. The living experience is full. It is really worth everyone to stay!

Guest UserIf you're coming to Lhasa and want a hotel with history and atmosphere, look no further than the Gurkha Hotel!
This is a 400-year-old historic building, formerly the Nepalese Consulate, and now the Gesar Japo Museum. Stepping inside feels like traveling back in time to old Tibet, completely immersed in ******* culture.
🌿 **The courtyard ambiance is divine!**
The Tibetan-style courtyard on the first floor gets amazing sunlight and is lush with greenery, creating an incredible atmosphere! Relax in the courtyard, sip on a special sweet tea, or enjoy some juice or coffee for a leisurely afternoon tea. You might also want to try the local yak yogurt and dried cheese curds – a delicious blend of sweet and milky flavors.
✅ **Amazing perks when you stay!**
▫️ Free use of hotel ******* clothing (10:30 AM - 10:30 PM), which you can wear out to explore Barkhor Street.
▫️ 10 complimentary courtyard travel photos (taken by a partner studio; makeup/premium outfits are an additional charge).
▫️ Free admission to the Gesar Japo Museum.
▫️ Rooms come with a high-altitude amenity kit: face masks, hair oil, makeup remover wipes, and wet wipes – thoughtful details.
▫️ Unlimited free sweet tea in the courtyard.
📍 **Unbeatable location!**
Right on Barkhor Street's Kora (pilgrim circuit), just a 3-minute walk to Jokhang Temple. You can easily pop back to the hotel to rest whenever you get tired from exploring.
It's perfect for travel photography and creating instant video content. The service is attentive and warm – staying here is definitely the right choice when you're in Lhasa!

Title: Incredible community vibe and the best dorm experience in Lhasa!
”I spent 3 days in one of the shared dorms here, and it was easily one of the highlights of my time in Lhasa. The dorm rooms are incredibly clean, tidy, and well-organized, with sturdy bunks and enough space so you never feel cramped. The social energy in the main lobbyist is unmatched—it is so easy to grab a drink, strike up a conversation, and find travel buddies to split tour costs or explore the city with. They even had local singing and ******* dance performances right in the common area, so which was amazing to experience. To top it off, the hostel has a sweet resident cat who loves to hang out. If you’re a solo traveler looking for a comfortable dorm with a true community feel, this is the spot.” Barkhor bazaar (30 min walk/ small bus ride away) and Nice place to run 5 mins away by the riverside

A very unique and beautiful hotel.
The rooms are spacious with 24-hour underfloor heating (the temperature is adjustable, so you can adjust it to your comfort). The bathroom is also spacious with a separate wet and dry area (though it doesn't have underfloor heating, which is a minor drawback).
The view from the rooms is the most beautiful part; you can take amazing photos just by sitting outside the room, far more beautiful than strolling through Barkhor Street.
The traditional kitchen on the first floor also greatly exceeded my expectations. The food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch; it would be a popular restaurant even in a first-tier coastal city.

Guest UserIt is a very clean and comfortable small courtyard. I can lie on the bed in the single room on the second floor and take a nap while looking at the blue sky and white clouds in the afternoon. In the evening, I can go out for a bite to eat and a walk. At night, I return to the inn to chat with some friends from all over the world and have a drink quietly. I come out just to relax for a while and then return to real life to continue working hard.

Guest UserThis Lhasa trip led me to an incredibly pleasant surprise: a hidden gem of a Tibetan-style hotel. It was a perfect, flawless experience! The moment I walked in, I was enveloped by a rich, authentic ******* atmosphere. Exquisite handcrafted ******* doors and windows, alongside handmade wool ******* rugs, complemented by the soothing aroma of ******* incense, created an elegant and solemn space brimming with ethnic beauty. The lobby was clean and refined, and every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine, offering a truly immersive experience of snowland ******* culture. The entire room was equipped with an oxygen concentrator, so there was absolutely no need to worry about altitude sickness upon arriving at the plateau, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, the bathroom was clean and odor-free, and the 24-hour hot water supply was stable and ample. A humidifier and comprehensive toiletries were all provided. This hotel perfectly blends traditional ******* elegance with modern, high-end comfort, balancing both aesthetics and practicality.

Guest UserWhen I came to Tibet, I stayed in a Tibetan-style hotel. The decoration of the hotel was very Tibetan-style. The room and the bathroom inside were very clean and tidy. You can see the day and night view of the Potala Palace and the sunrise from the rooftop on the fifth floor. The breakfast on the fifth floor was very nice. , the food is simple but delicious.
The reception staff are very polite and speak fluent Mandarin and English. The staff help solve various problems in Tibet, including taking a day tour, taking a taxi, transportation, shopping, luggage storage, moving luggage, etc.

Love the overall vibe of this place (I upgraded my room to Mountain View later on and it’s so good). There is also some sound-proof mechanism in the room and I was able to sleep so well ! (much better than when I was in Lhasa despite the increase in altitude). I was able to have great sleep and naps that prepped me very well for the day’s exploration and hiking.
Now I know when I visit here again, there is a very comfortable place to stay (am planning to invite friends from Singapore over next year ::) Huge kudos to Mr Doje for bringing this place into existence in the Himalayas and organizing stargazing event every night. The night sky. What a wonder. I’m grateful to be here.
p.s. Mr Doje is also super welcoming and helped me sorted out many stuff (like contacting ppl to find my traveling pillow & headset that I lost while moving around). Super amazing guy.
p.s. 多吉先生也非常热情,帮我解决了很多事情(打了很多电话帮找我在旅途中丢失了的枕头和耳机)。Super amazing guy.

Guest User

Guest UserThe facilities are outdated, the windows have no screens, the room is small, there's no air conditioning, and the toilet door is a barn door that's hard to close properly; the gap opens right up to the window where the curtains can't be fully closed. The room is on the second floor, so at night, if you're alone, you have to close the window and stay inside.
