The hostel is friendly and there are lots of international guests. The staff were kind and very helpful. The location is great, with popular tourist sites nearby - maybe 20min walk from Beijing street and a 5min walk to the metro. The female 4-bed dorm room was nice, with a spacious and comfortable bed with a curtain, and a cupboard/locker each, and aircon. The lobby/communal area was colourful and quirky with a pool table and lots of chairs and tables. It was a bit messy in some areas with piles/boxes around, and the kitchen was quite dirty and always had food and dishes left out and in the sink so I didn’t feel very comfortable using it. There is a washing machine to use for a small fee but when I was there most of the coat hangers and places to hang clothes were taken so it can be difficult to find places to dry clothes. Overall it was good but I wish some of the guests would be more thoughtful and respectful of others.

The female dorm really lives up to its reputation! The attention to detail is exceptional. This is the first time I've had someone walk me through everything upon arrival, and so many things are provided for free. It felt like being back in my university dorm. Even though it's inexpensive, they don't skimp on the details at all. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to the owner for providing such a wonderful and affordable place to stay during the busy May Day holiday! P.S. If your locker card isn't working, try holding it horizontally with the center of the card aligned with the number 8, and it should open right up!

I stayed in a dorm room for three days, and my overall experience exceeded my expectations. In the mornings, I'd walk downstairs to the cheong fun (rice noodle roll) shop for breakfast; their fresh shrimp cheong fun was wonderfully smooth and tender. It was just a few minutes' walk to Binjiangdong Road subway station, and I could get to Beijing Road and Yongqing Fang with just one transfer. Each bed in the room had its own curtain and charging port, so I had privacy when I drew the curtain. The communal laundry room was available 24/7, and it was super convenient to be able to wash and dry my clothes right away.

This place is fantastic! I stayed here for a week, experiencing their king-size bed, a four-person dorm, and a capsule. The four-person dorm was very quiet; everyone was considerate and kept noise to a minimum. The mattress seemed a bit saggy from previous use, but overall, it's a minor flaw. The lockers are absolutely amazing! They're super spacious, with plenty of room underneath too. My 30-inch suitcase, which doesn't fit in most places, slid in easily here. Plus, the staff are incredibly friendly! Any issues I had were immediately resolved. Staying here genuinely made me feel so happy!

As a returning guest, I've stayed at Diaohai many times, from dorms to private double rooms. It's perfect for hosting friends and loved ones alike. The double room, though not large, is super cozy. It has books to read, a bedside lamp, a beanbag chair, and a rug. The bedding is especially comfortable and cute – I really love their patchwork design. On our first day, we also booked a Nanshan Ancient City walk with the owner of Diaohai and a local resident. We discovered so many interesting places and details that only long-term residents would know. I'm growing to love Diaohai and Nanshan Ancient City more and more. Can't wait to stay again!

The environment is beautiful, with an endless expanse of blue ocean right outside the window. The air is so fresh, and it really lifts your spirits! The room was clean, tidy, and cozy. Dining was convenient. After dinner, I hit the hotel gym, worked up a good sweat, and then came back to the room for a refreshing shower before falling into a deep, beautiful sleep!

We recently stayed here for two months for a business trip with about 10 people. It took my boss 2-3 days to find this hostel, and we were all really happy with it. It's quiet yet conveniently located. The common area is super comfortable, and the shower water pressure is great and relaxing. The owner even provided good quality shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper. The washing machine and dryer were reasonably priced to use. Honestly, it felt just like staying in a mid-range hotel, and the cleanliness of the bedding even surpassed some! The owner was always accommodating and helpful. A big thank you to the owner for taking care of us for a whole month. I specifically wanted to leave this good review to commend them.

This is the best hostel I've stayed at since choosing to travel solo. The location is superb, right opposite the subway station, just a two-minute walk away. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. You have to change into slippers before entering the sleeping areas, and the common lounge is very cozy. There are six shower stalls in the washroom, so you rarely have to queue. Basic toiletries are provided for free. Plus, the cat is super affectionate; it jumped right onto my lap for some serious petting!

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The common areas were cozy and quiet. The owner was warm and attentive, and the value for money was excellent. It was also conveniently located. The room itself was simple and refreshing, and the hygiene was spot on. Overall, a fantastic experience!
