nice hostel, good location! there is no lift which wasn't an issue for me but maybe for people with larger bags. the room was nicely decorated with good AC and a comfortable bed. there was a slight sewage/toilet smell but not too bad. the room had good space and a nice desk area. a nice choice for a short stay

Great location close to many restaurants and there is a Lawson convenience store just across the road. Our issue was the cleanliness. When we arrived, our hotel room was not clean and the bed was not made, and the front desk seemed confused by this. However, the facilities are decent: there are water dispensers you can refill your bottles with, good wifi, and many tables for co-working. The atmosphere however did not feel like a hostel, as it seemed most of the other guests were there playing games or working remotely, rather than being tourists like us.

This is a warm and cozy hostel with a bar and pool table. Along the staircase there are pieces of artwork for you to pause and appreciate. There are also two cuddly cats to keep you company late an night if you prefer to spend time in the common area. The microwave is a life saver on those mornings during which you have to head out super early. Apart from the subway station which is a five minute walk from the hostel, there is actually a bus stop right in front with public buses taking you directly (no luggage scans! No line transfers!) to the People’s Square, Zhongshan Square, Russian Village and even the airport.

I was torn between a B&B and a youth hostel and stayed in a youth hostel. The location is really good. The Forbidden City is right outside the door, and it is close to Shuai Mansion and Zhongjie. But the actual facilities arrangement is really funny. I know that the environment of a youth hostel is not as good as a hotel, and I also know that it is cheap and I can’t expect anything else. I understand that this single room in the cabin is a partition in the hall. I also understand that it smells of formaldehyde just after decoration, but why did you open a window towards the hall? I saw the reviews before booking, but I didn't expect it to be so outrageous. The store didn't solve it at all, even putting up a curtain. Standing outside, you can see the house through the window. You don't even dare to turn on the light when changing clothes. It's hard to find a room with high windows, and you even designed a second-floor platform to face it. And the room is not soundproof, you can clearly hear someone talking in the lobby at night. Forget it, the cabin does not have an independent bathroom, so it uses a public bathroom. The public bathroom in his house is so outrageous that it makes me happy. Men and women share bathing stalls and toilets. I have stayed in a similarly priced youth hostel in Wuhan before. I had a nice time in Lazy Bill's Hostel. The check-in counter staff were very patient even though we were communicating via a Translation app and even though I don't have a local number from a Chinese mobile network. Also, the coffee shop was located just inside the hostel and it was very convenient! The coffee was delicious. The staff were very serious when it comes to cleanliness. They cleaned the room where I stayed and they mop the room and clean the rest room every day. I could not say anything more. Will I stay here again? Definitely yes! They have a mini-convenience store inside the hostel for booze, juices and water. There were restaurants and bath houses in the area. There was also a nearby KFC!
