Perfect for solo traveller, a little further away from narvik city center but still very walkable (10+ mins). They’ve got a restaurant (fried food), a church nearby. Bathroom is a little run down but still v decent
The hostel offers some conveniences but overall, I would rate it 3/5. Its location is a major advantage, with a shopping center and supermarket just a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to access essentials.
However, the experience was marred by several issues. The hostel was difficult to find due to the lack of clear signage, which was frustrating upon arrival. Additionally, the noise insulation was very poor—I could hear footsteps and movement from upstairs throughout the night, which severely impacted my sleep and caused insomnia.
While the hostel has potential, these issues need to be addressed to improve the overall experience. It’s a suitable choice for budget travelers prioritizing convenience, but light sleepers may want to consider other options.
Excellent and laid back place, with fabulous host.really enjoyed the SUPS, bikes and just relaxing in the common area. The views are awesome too. Would have loved to stay longer, and hope to come back!!!
Because it is off-season, the Youth Hostel does not provide catering services, so it seems a bit troublesome. Lofoten public transportation is inconvenient, it is recommended to drive here. The Youth Hostel has a shared kitchen and the kitchen is fully equipped. The wooden room is a bit poorly soundproofed, but fortunately there are not many people staying in the off-season, so there is basically no impact. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is good.
