I stayed alone in a female-only dorm with a kitchen at the hostel.
About the hostel:
1. It's a 3-minute walk to the beach.
2. The W-Line bus ($2.50) goes from the airport directly to the hostel stop (it's a 3-minute walk from there). There are ticket machines for bus passes at the airport.
3. There's a communal kitchen (open from 6:00 AM - 10 PM).
4. You can get beach equipment (like surfboards) for a deposit.
5. There are plenty of food stores and cafes nearby.
6. They offer excursions.
7. There's a locker in the room, but you'll need your own lock.
There's a lot of traffic on the island's roads.

I booked a single dormitory. There are foreigners there. The location is very good. The quality of sleep depends on whether there are snorers in your dormitory. Foreigners have a strong perfume smell. If you mind, don't book it. The facilities are relatively complete. You can cook by yourself. There is a public refrigerator and storage cabinets.
Le camere da un lato i bagni dall altro attraversando lobby e tavoli da pranzo che sono per appunto nella stessa sala con tv musica ecc. In camera almeno 4 ventilatori accesi a far rumore. E meno male c'erano.
Quite a nice hostel with helpful and friendly staff. Accommodation well organized, detailed information sent in advance by email. Access to the hostel and room by individual code. Mini breakfast with coffee included, kitchen available if someone wants to cook something themselves. During rush hour you have to wait a bit for a bathroom. Without your own car, access by buses (to the transit center they go about every 30 minutes).

This was my first time staying in hostel and I definitely want to stay in hostel when I get to come back in Hawaii.
They offer so many opportunities to meet people from hostel.
The rooftop was great and the restroom was also clean.
But the bed was little uncomfortable because I stayed in the top and I could feel every little move from the person staying under.
A special place in Hilo, although remote, worth exploring. When I went there, it was raining heavily, which somewhat diminished the experience. If the weather is good, I can stay longer. The enthusiastic service of the staff is heartwarming. HANA, everything goes well? Thank you for your help. After returning shanghai, I miss you a bit! when I can see you again?Wish you all the best

Hhanako.comI chose this place for my solo trip because hotels were too expensive. The location is absolutely fantastic, right on a main street, so I felt perfectly safe walking alone at night. Even though it's a capsule hotel, they provide towels, thin slippers, and a toothbrush. The sheets were clean, and it felt private enough that I could actually sleep.
Since there are Japanese staff, communication in Japanese was easy. Everyone staying there was traveling solo, so it was very quiet. I even wondered if it was the quietest place in all of Hawaii (lol). The shared lounge/living area was also quiet, and you could get free tea and water.
My capsule was next to the women-only door, so I frequently heard the door opening and closing in the middle of the night and early morning, which was a bit bothersome. My only real complaint would be the shared showers. I stayed for two nights, and on the second day, someone hadn't rinsed out their hair after using the shower, and the sinks were also full of hair. I guess that's to be expected for this price point. Other than that, everything else was good. I think it's a great place if you can tolerate the showers.

GGuest UserIt is recommended to stay near the volcano park. This hotel is only 5 minutes away from the volcano park, which is very convenient. The volcano park is too big and it takes at least two days to visit it, so we chose to stay in this hotel nearby so that we can visit the volcano park carefully. In addition, the hotel has a century-old restaurant, which is not bad, but the price is expensive.

GGuest UserEverything is very good ~ I recommend it to see small sweet potatoes.
The first time I encountered a house that looked better than the picture
They have a total of three houses in cottage (single house). With the baby, I was lucky to book it. The order shows that it is a sea view villa. Tell the hotel in advance that they will bring children, and they can understand it.
Behind the villa is the Longan tree. I told the housekeeper to let the children experience picking the Longan a little. It is really delicious and not very sweet.
You can go early, because it is not very easy to find at night, and the navigation will go to another place according to the address, or it is better to go during the day.
Open the window is the sea view, very beautiful.
There is a special kitchen, laundry room...
I will not regret that Ha ~ is 20 minutes drive from hilo and 10 minutes from Akaka Falls.
MMinThe hotel started 1916. Location near to Lihue airport is a plus. Condition is run down in the exterior but makes up for it with newly fixed up rooms. Clean.
