Apart from the hassle of a self service checkin, this place has all the amenities, the space and the crew to make your stay a comfortable one. Beds come with individual lights and charging points, as well as a decent size locker to stuff your day pack. Each bed also comes with a small compartment to stuff your small items. There’s a super mart next door for the self caterers and the bus stop is just a skip and a hop away.
I really liked the accommodation. It is located within walking distance from the bus stop and taxi rank. nearby and also within walking distance of the city center, Main Street, observation decks with stunning views and the beach (but the water is terribly cold and you will not be able to swim in any of the beaches in Plettenberg Bay). I was met by a pdministrator named Debbie. She is very friendly and smiling, tried to help in everything (even in things that are not part of her duties). The reception has all the information about the attractions nearby, local taxi numbers (bolt taxi does not work in Plettenberg bay), information about restaurants and their menus, and you can book excursions. the room itself was very clean, including the toilet was in perfect condition. there is a TV and everything that is stated in the ad. on the downside, I spent only one night at the location, but the electricity was turned off twice (both times in the evening) (but there was no light on the entire street, or maybe in the entire city, so it's not the fault of the accommodation). Plettenberg Bay itself is amazing (and safe even after sunset)

Overall, everything was satisfactory, I'd give it a 4/5. There was parking available, and a pool of sorts – even though the water was ice cold, it was good for a refreshing dip. The only thing that bothered me was having to pay 100 R for a towel upon checkout, which we didn't even really use. If we had known it was chargeable, we wouldn't have taken it at all, and honestly, 500 rubles to rent a towel seems quite steep to me. The room was clean and spacious enough for us, and the bed was comfortable. The soundproofing wasn't great; we were worried about hearing evening gatherings from the communal kitchen, but somehow everyone dispersed at a certain time and it was quiet. And you could say there's no breakfast. But for a couple of nights, it's a decent place to stay.
The hostel was adequate but our room had many problems with the running water. When taking a shower the water was weak or shut off entirely and this happened often for multiple days.
Pili-Pili is a “Great location” on Shedgsfield the beach with single rooms and communal en-suite rooms available with seaviews from the balcony.
Roof terrace gives you a stunning option to enjoy your pre lunch drink.
Proceed downstairs to order and watch your delicious pizza (your choice of toppings) cooked in one of two wood fired ovens.
Staff are all friendly and helpful I strongly recommend staying here.
Free drinks are available until 10am. Coffee, tea, and rooibos tea are available. There is a kitchen and a refrigerator. The dormitory beds do not have lights or charging sockets. (Charging is available in the common area, where there is a TV and sofa.) At night, the noise from nearby shops can be a bit loud (although this may depend on the room).
In the Cape geographical advantage, the large supermarket is very close to the long street, you can not walk, the bar downstairs, although it is very noisy, but very safe, the service is very warm, everyone is very warm, for me a person who is not very good at English is a good choice, and very clean, The little girl at the front desk enthusiastically guided me how to play Zhoushan and Mong Kok. I took the trouble. I stayed at this hotel for six nights. I felt very happy and made a lot of friends. 🥳
Fantastic hostel. Felt like the very best in Southeast Asia. Huge common room (with VHS selection! Hah). Good bar on premises, and just a cool, chill, communal vibe. Don’t expect much else, and it’s a bit of a walk to the beach (like 5 minutes, not much) but for a good surf hostel it’s great.
Located in Cape Town (Gordon's Bay), The Yard - Hostel is within a 5-minute drive of Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve and Cape Floral Region Protected Areas. This hostel is 1.2 mi (2 km) from Bikini Beach and 2.1 mi (3.4 km) from Harmony Park.
Take in the views from a terrace and a garden and make use of amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access.
The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 4 air-conditioned guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms with showers are provided.

FFGTRTDI didn't like that the room didn't have a bathroom. The bathroom is to be shared. For a little extra, you can have a bathroom and better location at 82 on Regent. Motown is okay if you enjoy sharing bathrooms with strangers. Due to the concerts at the time in Cape Town, most places were sold out which is how we landed up at Motown.
