The Holland Hotel

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and quaint. If you are used to air conditioning, the rooms are cool, each room have individual units. Cooling can be inconsistent. Parking is very limited. Restaurant is closed and no swimming pool. There is a cute courtyard to enjoy your morning coffee. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will come back.

I loved the history of the hotel. I was disappointed that the restaurant and bar were closed for renovations. Loved that the hotel was walking distance to bar & grills.

This historic hotel is authentic. The bed has the original mattress from when the hotel opened as well as the carpet. The carpet stains matched the couch in the room. The chair needed to go to the dumpster next to the property. The hotel’s website shows the property back in its heyday. It’s been neglected over time. I was very disappointed especially for a $180 nightly fee.

Easy and friendly check in. Feels more like a hybrid fact/hotel hybrid. Rooms were clean and dining area/check in was clean. Wish this had more and hope the area around gets rebuilt to bring more dining options that complement the hotel. The service portion is there- very friendly. Hope century bar and grill or a breakfast location opens nearby.

The lobby was beautiful, but our room was old and outdated, the ceiling fan was covered in dust, would not turn it on, allergic to dust, mold, etc. there was dust piled up on the side of the dresser, we left a day early, and no refund .

The history behind the hotel and the beauty in keeping the historical features intact are what drew me to this property. The town is small so parking wasn’t a problem. Coffee & pastries were promised for breakfast however after getting up early to get some I was told they were out. This was at 6:30am. I asked if they would be getting anymore and was told no.

We enjoyed our stay at the very charming Holland Hotel in Alpine, Texas. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and enjoying the beautiful days there.

The room did not have a table and chair to work on. Only a couch. Without a chair, it was difficult to watch TV, eat, or work. Reportedly, only one room had a table and a chair. For this money charged, this is outrageous. The bar was never open, no breakfast, and at night, there was a terrible ringing noise in the lobby. Which is why no one was around. The air conditioner fan would keep you awake, and better just turn it off. This is an old hotel that needs a major renovation or shut down.

They inform you that the restaurant was closed due to renovations or that the bar was not open. There were no amenities.
