We love this place, gluten free menu is amazing (separate fryers for chips etc). It is quite expensive (which means we don't visit as much as we would like to) but the food is excellent quality. Tables are quite spaced out which is a nice change compared to other restaurants.

We were enchanted when on our holiday we first clapped eyes on the white Georgian Mill House, swathed in bright spring flowers. We enjoyed our light lunch in this picturesque restaurant, eaten overlooking the lilypond complete with heron and kingfisher. So we booked for that evening. A lovely waitress - we have found all Brunning & Price Front-of-House staff efficient and charming. But our food? I ordered fish pie - and after a long wait got instead a little stack of very dry fish with 'wooden prawns' Though hot itself, it stood in a lake of almost-cold creamy sauce - but nothing to mop or eat it with. It was NOT a PIE! The waitress changed it for a Morrocan chicken - but that was uneatable, too... I have never been disappointed like this in any of the other five Brunning & Price pubs I have frequently visited. My husband had to leave a wholly uncooked whole shallot and tough cabbage, though hunger drove him to eat his non-unctuous ox cheek. The waitress insisted that we do not pay for our meal - even the wine, though we were quite prepared to. We were very grateful to her, but SO disappointed to leave that enchanting restaurant hungry... Can only conclude the chef arrived late and rushed...

Spent a very enjoyable Friday lunchtime here. The lamb flatbreads were beautiful, and the chips and garlic bread were also very tasty. Service was friendly and prompt and surroundings are stunning. We sat in the conservatory area overlooking the water which was lovely on a sunny day.

This place is very hit and miss on service. Just read the reviews. I think that they can't get decent staff. Or they pay lousy wages. I've been before and it's been OK - but only OK - last time I had to chase the starters AND the main meal!!! NOT good service, and this lets down a place that has lovely ambience. I've worked in the trade and know ALL the everything about service, front of house and behind the scenes. Today was the same old, food OK WHEN it arrived. Next time I will confront the manager full on, and cause a real scene if I get bad service. It just isn't good enough!!!

Just been for lunch with girlfriends. Given the best table in the place - round table overlooking the pond - and everyone enjoyed their delicious food. Busy doning room but served wiith a smile by all the waiting staff. Top marks all round except for disabled car spaces which were too far from the main entrance

Came for a Mother’s Day meal on Saturday night (9th) Unfortunately did not live up to expectations. We initially tried to book into the roe deer (Stourbridge) as always had a fantastic meal but as it was fully booked we decided to give their sister pub a try. Mistake! Both food and service were poor. We were asked if we wanted another round of drinks at the table, After waiting 20 mins for the order I chased them up with a team member. No apology. When the food hit the table The seafood linguine, despite advertising clams, mussels etc only had a couple of prawns in. All food on the children’s meal was overcooked and inedible. This was after It took 1hr 40 mins for our main meals to hit the table. No team member came to check on our meals so I discreetly bought it to the duty managers attention. He took the linguine and the round of drinks off the bill. But even after complaining we sat for over 30 mins with dirty plates in front of us. By this point the restaurant was almost empty. We paid alot of money - first round for a bottle of Prosecco and one beer was £40! So you can imagine the food bill. It wasn’t justified. The family left completely underwhelmed

We were attracted to this as a result of reading reviews and the menu choices. The menu and the food were lovely. The venue is delightful. The staff were very pleasant but the service was shocking. We waited 20 mins for our first drink. Then a long wait for our food. Then we ordered deserts and coffee which took ages and the coffee was wrong. The waitress went away to make another and that took another 20 mins and a reminder, plus the person making it went home! The table wasn’t cleared of dirty glasses at any point. Every drink ordered had to be chased after long waits. There were quite a few staff who were very pleasant but not efficient. They seemed to amble around doing very little and totally unobservant and non attentive. It has the potential to be a great venue but I would like yo see improvements in the service level before recommending it to anyone.

Lovely place. Beautiful and traditional looking old pub but huge! Stayed for business for 2 nights. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier and to top it off dogs are allowed to visit the bar too. Rooms are lovely and clean. Great breakfast and dinner. Will definitely be back with the wife.

Our room was excellent - stylish & comfortable. Staff were terrific. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious with great gluten-free options. Will definitely stay again.
