The hotel facilities themselves are very good. In order to match the name of Bala, you can feel the feeling of finishing in the mansion. The courtyard is also very wide, you can take a simple walk, and the swimming pool is also open in summer. However, there is no shuttle bus in winter, so if you take a taxi from the central station to Villa Olmi, you have to pay about 25 euros. If you rent a car, if you bring a car to the city, the parking fee will be quite high. Villa Olmi's room is not big, but the bathroom is spacious and well maintained. It's a lovely villa, so it's a good place for travelers with cars that need more relaxation than Florence sightseeing.

Best experience. The room is good and clean, location is lovely but what makes this place the best is the service. Very good service by Tomaso and fresh breakfast. We will come back ! Need to come with a car as it's a bit far from public transports but worth it !

In many ways this hotel was ideal for us, it wasn't right in the city center where all the noise is, but it was close enough to it (about half an hour's walk to the train station with a suitcase and bags). The hotel staff was excellent, very kind and respectful with lots of good and efficient advice. The room was spacious enough and clean and we didn't lack anything. One weak point was for us and it was the bed which was a double bed but, it was connected by two mattresses, and an air conditioner that worked but made a lot of noise. In conclusion, if you don't mind walking to the city center (I strongly recommend everyone to walk and not use public transport, there is a lot to see on the way :) ) And you are looking for the hotel staff to be nice, polite, experienced, know the surroundings and know how to give you tips, this is the hotel check for you. The hotel is clean , but tired. I did not appreciate being told to sit a specific table for breakfast even when there were clearly several empty, was totally snubbed when asking for hot water for tea. Male concierge added 30% onto the price of bus tickets , next days' tickets were as priced on the actual ticket. Makes them untrustworthy. Poor breakfasts . And service is bad. Itallians get treated well and english are NOT . They don't know how to treat paying guests with equal respect . Its obvious they are blatantly discriminate.

We had an amazing stay here, we felt very safe here and the staff are so friendly!! The breakfast is amazing and so close to the centre (15 mins) and amazing bars and restaurants nearby! We would recommend this place to anyone- absolutely ideal for couples and families !! I think would be even better if the pool was able to be used.

We stayed for 3 nights in April, the Hotel was clean, convenient, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely without exception. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff and room service were friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. Our room was at the rear of the hotel (204) with a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The view was nothing special as it overlooked the rear of other properties but it was nice and comfortable and very quite. There is a Spa that you can book for your exclusive use. This is sometimes included in your deal but otherwise is 25 euros each for 50 minutes and well worth it. The view from the roof top is superb and you can get a drink from the reception bar and take it up there or even take your own bottle of wine! Breakfast centres mainly on pastries, fruits and meats. There is a “hot” option of eggs and bacon but is only ever warm at best. However, the pastries are very nice and more than enough available. It also has to be the most convenient trip I have ever experienced from Airport to hotel! Exit the airport turn left and walk to the tram stop about a minute away. Take the T2 tram to UNITA and get off at Rosselli. That’s it!, it takes about 20 minutes and when the t4am leave you will be facing the hotel. It cost 1.50 euros each. You can buy the tickets on the tram platform but I would visit the shop Hudson as others have mentioned on here and get them there as there can be a queue to get your ticket on the platform. Don’t forget to slide it into the machine to validate it when you board. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk for the “Dome” in the centre and about 25 minutes to the bridges on the river. There are some excellent restaurants such as Casa Ciabattini and Osteria Vecchio Cancellous within 6/7 minute walk both of which I would highly recommend. I would not hesitate to return.

Decent hotel with plenty of space by European standards. Perfect for business travelers but a little too far away from anything for vacation travelers. Being located in a business park, there really isn't anything to see or do within walking distance. We stayed here as part of a bus tour and it made a good home base for several days as we toured the area.

Villa Castiglione is located on one of the hills surrounding Florence, it is a peaceful and quiet place surrounded by villas and vines. Converted monastery now features artistically decorated interiors. Rooms are just spacious enough for a lovely stay, with ensuite modern bathroom. It is as seen on photos, clean and the staff speak English - even though they appear a bit slow and bored, they were friendly and very helpful, as well as offering advice on travel. Parking is free on the premises but be prepared for narrow windy road to reach the place. Breakfast has enough variety, but don't expect healthy options, it is generally pastries, yoghurt, cereal and eggs. Great coffee, as this is Italy, of course. Dinner is officially served from 7.30 but nobody started serving until 8pm and the menu is rather limited, lacking simple options for tired travellers such as soup or salad - and it was expensive, considering value for money. All in all, this was a great find and we can recommend the Villa.

We come every year, for good reason. For our family it works as each room is at minimum a small suite. The people who work here are the friendliest and most accommodating of any hotel I stay at. The AC was great this year as it was slightly hotter than normal in July. The pool is amazing especially as the temperature was high, providing for a great escape after going downtown. The restaurant and wait staff are amazing! Highly recommend for anyone who does not want to sleep downtown but visit during the day.

It is far from major tourist destinations. The accessibility is very poor. However, the hotel is very tidy and the facilities are good. The hotel restaurant was also very satisfying.
