The hotel facilities themselves are very good. In order to match the name of Bala, you can feel the feeling of finishing in the mansion. The courtyard is also very wide, you can take a simple walk, and the swimming pool is also open in summer. However, there is no shuttle bus in winter, so if you take a taxi from the central station to Villa Olmi, you have to pay about 25 euros. If you rent a car, if you bring a car to the city, the parking fee will be quite high. Villa Olmi's room is not big, but the bathroom is spacious and well maintained. It's a lovely villa, so it's a good place for travelers with cars that need more relaxation than Florence sightseeing.

Best experience. The room is good and clean, location is lovely but what makes this place the best is the service. Very good service by Tomaso and fresh breakfast. We will come back ! Need to come with a car as it's a bit far from public transports but worth it !

In many ways this hotel was ideal for us, it wasn't right in the city center where all the noise is, but it was close enough to it (about half an hour's walk to the train station with a suitcase and bags). The hotel staff was excellent, very kind and respectful with lots of good and efficient advice. The room was spacious enough and clean and we didn't lack anything. One weak point was for us and it was the bed which was a double bed but, it was connected by two mattresses, and an air conditioner that worked but made a lot of noise. In conclusion, if you don't mind walking to the city center (I strongly recommend everyone to walk and not use public transport, there is a lot to see on the way :) ) And you are looking for the hotel staff to be nice, polite, experienced, know the surroundings and know how to give you tips, this is the hotel check for you. A beautiful hotel that is not your typical high rise hotel, but more of a large estate. Beautiful grounds and the rooms are well appointed. We had stayed here 5 years ago and enjoyed ourselves so we decided to return, with our daughter. Since there were 3 of us, we booked the Superior Triple Room which turned out to be a sleeper sofa on the first floor and narrow steps leading to the bed upstairs. I wasn't expecting this from the pictures on the website because if I had seen this room, I would not have booked it. The air conditioning was fine on the first floor, however, there was no air making it upstairs so it was hot up there. Beds and pillows were comfortable. There was no TV guide, so you had to scroll through each channel to see what was on each channel. The restaurant was very nice, as was the bar, however, they are very understaffed as it seems to be common all over. There was one waiter in the restaurant to handle about 10 tables, so there was a delay in getting your order. My daughter ordered her beef fillet medium well - it came out rare. We asked the waiter to have them cook it longer, he took it, but we never got it back. When leaving, he apologized about never getting it back to her, that was fine, a minor slip up. The next night that same waiter was working the bar and I joked with him that he does everything, nice guy. People should know that the hotel is outside of Florence, and you either take the shuttle for 7.50 Euro, or a taxi (which will cost about 25 - 30 euros each way. You will NOT walk to anywhere from this hotel, however it is a very relaxing location.

The hotel is clean , but tired. I did not appreciate being told to sit a specific table for breakfast even when there were clearly several empty, was totally snubbed when asking for hot water for tea. Male concierge added 30% onto the price of bus tickets , next days' tickets were as priced on the actual ticket. Makes them untrustworthy. Poor breakfasts . And service is bad. Itallians get treated well and english are NOT . They don't know how to treat paying guests with equal respect . Its obvious they are blatantly discriminate.

We recently stayed here as part of a group tour. Nico and his staff were all so welcoming and the grounds were just amazing. I felt like I was living a dream. The food and the accommodations were excellent. We were able to have our dinners under the Tuscan sky and it included a live band. We were also treated to a cooking lesson by the hotel restaurant chef. I can only hope to go back there again someday.

We had an amazing stay here, we felt very safe here and the staff are so friendly!! The breakfast is amazing and so close to the centre (15 mins) and amazing bars and restaurants nearby! We would recommend this place to anyone- absolutely ideal for couples and families !! I think would be even better if the pool was able to be used.

I think this is a hotel that is missing out on its appearance. You might think it's a strange hotel because of its very busy exterior. The interior is very clean and the hotel is very comfortable. The common space is large and there are vending machines, which is very convenient. The other guests have a high level of civility, and many of them are well-mannered and have common sense. You won't have to worry about unwanted guests. Hotels in central Florence can be extremely expensive. There are many facilities that are not worth the price. Personally, even if it takes a little more time to travel, I felt it would be better to start from this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights in April, the Hotel was clean, convenient, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely without exception. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff and room service were friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. Our room was at the rear of the hotel (204) with a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The view was nothing special as it overlooked the rear of other properties but it was nice and comfortable and very quite. There is a Spa that you can book for your exclusive use. This is sometimes included in your deal but otherwise is 25 euros each for 50 minutes and well worth it. The view from the roof top is superb and you can get a drink from the reception bar and take it up there or even take your own bottle of wine! Breakfast centres mainly on pastries, fruits and meats. There is a “hot” option of eggs and bacon but is only ever warm at best. However, the pastries are very nice and more than enough available. It also has to be the most convenient trip I have ever experienced from Airport to hotel! Exit the airport turn left and walk to the tram stop about a minute away. Take the T2 tram to UNITA and get off at Rosselli. That’s it!, it takes about 20 minutes and when the t4am leave you will be facing the hotel. It cost 1.50 euros each. You can buy the tickets on the tram platform but I would visit the shop Hudson as others have mentioned on here and get them there as there can be a queue to get your ticket on the platform. Don’t forget to slide it into the machine to validate it when you board. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk for the “Dome” in the centre and about 25 minutes to the bridges on the river. There are some excellent restaurants such as Casa Ciabattini and Osteria Vecchio Cancellous within 6/7 minute walk both of which I would highly recommend. I would not hesitate to return.

Decent hotel with plenty of space by European standards. Perfect for business travelers but a little too far away from anything for vacation travelers. Being located in a business park, there really isn't anything to see or do within walking distance. We stayed here as part of a bus tour and it made a good home base for several days as we toured the area.
