"Well, how do you say the location of the hotel? It should be okay, very close to the Aliyev Cultural Center, and there are two supermarkets around the main street, but a bit far from the ancient city. The biggest problem is that the hotel is a bit old, and there is an old smell inside. I don't know if it is a problem with my room or a general problem."

"The hotel is located in the old city and it is convenient to all places. It should be opened soon, the hardware facilities are great (as far as the old city is concerned), and the toilets are in good condition. There is no elevator in the hotel, and the old city hotels seem to be like this. The roads in the old city are not suitable for sunk boxes, and taxis can't reach the door of the hotel directly, so living in the old city is suitable for tourists who don't have much luggage. But what made me unhappy during the whole journey was the hotel’s service. I booked for three consecutive nights through Ctrip. I didn’t rest assured that I contacted the hotel via Facebook to confirm the reservation. The hotel responded to the reservation and received it, but when I arrived at the hotel more than 11pm on the first day , The hotel said that there was no room for the first night, and sent me to the hotel next door. The next door was just a small bed and breakfast. The room was less than 10 square meters and had a double bed. The 29-inch box I brought could not be fully opened. I booked with Da Vinci The rooms are totally unmatched, and the hotel’s approach is totally unintelligible! I originally said that I could move back after 12 noon the next day. I went to the hotel reception to confirm at 12:30 and agreed to move, but after I moved in, I told the room that the room was not cleaned. I asked me to wait for half an hour and I sat in the hotel. The front desk waited for more than 2 hours... before finally entering the room, the hotel front desk did not help at all during the coordination period, just let me wait, which was very unhappy! The most uncomfortable experience in the whole process! The front desk service of the hotel was particularly bad, including asking for help to get a taxi later, no matter how short the distance was. The picture was sent to the guest house next door to me. Da Vinci is the same as the picture on the website, and there is no other picture if he is in a bad mood."
"Overall was fine, the hotel needs some renovation, and the rooms seem old. The breakfast was not good, I had to take the breakfast outside every day. I would like to thank Nijat from reception and also bellboy Ramazan is very helpful and a good man. Also, Ali from the lobby Bar. I want Aldo to thank Rami from the transportation, he did a great service to me when we went to Shahdag with his Driver Farid. Thanks to everyone again and hope to take my feedback as a positive to enhance the hotel."
"Amazing hotel: location on the embankment with a view of the sea and the lights of night Baku, clean and modern hotel, excellent food, on the top floor of the building there is a panoramic bar that rotates - it's amazing!) Also a beautiful gym with a view of the sea, a cozy pool. We are delighted!)"
"First thing, the location is too far away from the center. The hotel keeps telling you it’s only 10 mins walk, but it’s actually 20-25mins. The closest supermarket Spar is 1.2km away, walking time about 18-20 mins since the roads are super hard to cross without pedestrian lines and traffic lights.
Second, the house keeping of this hotel is a bit lazy, the coffee cup I have used in the first morning hasn’t been cleaned and I had to clean it myself to use it on the second day. The used towels were just taken away but no fresh replacement provided. The most outrageous thing is that they only gave us a duvet COVER for one of the beds, so one of us was freezing cold in the middle of the night and had to call housekeeping for a second duvet.
All in all, not to recommend for people who wants to explore the city."
"Good place for a short stay. We stayed for four nights and had a comfortable experience. Staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very less to no breakfast options for vegetarians."
"Review of Oldcity Inn Hotel, Baku, Azerbaijan
I recently stayed at the Oldcity Inn Hotel in Baku, located in the heart of the historical Old City. While the location is undeniably charming, right in the center of Baku’s historical landmarks, my experience left much to be desired.
Pros:
Location: The hotel is situated in the very center of Baku's historical Old City, which offers a unique atmosphere with its ancient architecture and cultural significance.
Reception Staff: The staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I liked the girl at the hotel reception, who was very kind with the cat. The hotel had a very cute cat, who came into the hotel in the evening and left in the morning. However, despite their kindness, they were unable to provide much help with guest problems such as transportation and logistics.
Cons:
Cleanliness: The hotel did not provide daily cleaning services, which was disappointing and below the standards I expect from any accommodation.
Accessibility Issues:
Check-in/Check-out Stress: My biggest issue was with the overall experience of entering and leaving the Old City area. Police and security guards surround the area with barriers, preventing taxis or any other transportation from entering without paying bribes. Tourists are forced to carry their heavy luggage for 2-3 kilometers, which is incredibly difficult, especially after long flights.
After an hour of negotiation and paying a 12 AZN bribe (with no receipt or clear explanation), I was finally allowed to enter the area. Similarly, during checkout, the police fined a taxi driver 100 AZN just for waiting outside the Old City to pick me up. This created an extremely stressful situation that overshadowed the beauty of the location.
Corruption and Mismanagement:
The corruption among local police and security guards was shocking and disappointing. Tourists are regularly stopped and extorted for bribes, making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming.
There were no clear guidelines on how tourists are supposed to manage transportation in and out of the Old City, and no support from the hotel or authorities on this matter.
Conclusion:
While the Old City is undeniably a historical gem, I cannot recommend staying at the Oldcity Inn Hotel or any other accommodation within this area due to the severe accessibility challenges, the corrupt practices of local authorities, and the overall stress it creates for tourists. If you plan to visit Baku, I suggest staying outside the Old City and visiting the area during the day to enjoy its history without dealing with these logistical nightmares."
"Nice hotel, in the very center of the old city, the location is simply excellent. It's very quiet, you'll sleep well! More or less good breakfast, 7\10. Excellent Wi-Fi and Internet. In the photo, of course, everything looks much better than it actually is in reality. The hotel itself, of course, no longer deserves 4 stars, everything has long been worn out, it’s time to update everything (all rooms, walls, plumbing, carpeting especially!) and do major and cosmetic repairs. It's more like 3.5 stars, not 4. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with any issue."

Excellent
BBJuliaIt was a great experience! Service, cleanliness and beauty of the room! Had a great rest during a long layover! Help with a suitcase. From the airport 5 minutes walk, but I was still taken by car when leaving the hotel. Very good hotel. The staff is friendly, polite! Until next time, Fly Inn baku
AAlla LevinaA wonderful hotel, with perfect service, clean, well-kept rooms, a very beautiful hotel both inside and outside, large rooms, but (!!!) the rooms are very uncomfortable, there are no shelves, hooks, hanging and nowhere to put clothes, I really hope this will be fixed, because otherwise the hotel is very good.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located in the old town. Many sights are within walking distance. The hotel looked newly renovated. It has three floors, with the guest rooms on the first and second floors. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were very satisfied. Our room only had a skylight, as it was on the second floor under the roof. Although it was mentioned in the room description, I didn't notice it. But it wasn't a problem, as the room had air conditioning that you could adjust yourself. We would stay at this hotel again, but would request a room on the first floor.

__Maria_Nice hotel, stayed for one night, located near the fountain square and the Old Town. There is a shop in the same house.
The room was not very big, ok for one night. The bathroom is spacious, but somehow outdated, in fact, like the style of the room, I would like something more fashionable or something. Breakfast is good, there is plenty to choose from.
It's a little strange that not all the staff at the hotel speak Russian, although the whole city speaks it.
YYongyuan768The room was nicely raised, some rooms had no windows, and it was very close to the Maiden Tower. Very convenient. Baku is very beautiful, suitable for citywalk. The view from upstairs was superb.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location. It takes about half an hour by taxi from the airport at night. It is right in the ancient city. I woke up the next day and started shopping in the ancient city.
The room is a little tight for two people with two suitcases, but it is enough. It is clean and tidy.
The building is probably built in the 1980s, so it has a bit of antique style from the outside to the inside.
The breakfast is unexpectedly good, with meat/eggs/hot and cold drinks/fruits/noodles, and even porridge. It is very rich for an ordinary daily breakfast.
FFernando BertiExcellent hotel, everywhere when I need a hotel, my first option is Ibis, good price and good service. In Baku, the breakfast is so good, lot of delicious foods, the room is clean and everything works.
My daughters loves the bed, softy and comfortable.
AAmmad KhalilOur Flight got cancelled due to visa issues, we went to a different hotel called MAAJID HOTEL in old city,
Before yesterday we were here for 5 nights, after spending one night in maajid hotel we missed the amenities & luxuries we had in this hotel so early morning we decided to come back to AUSTIN HOTEL BAKU again because its in the heart of baku , every time whether its day or night you look outside the window, you see the world alive in nice dresses & good moods, i would say its the HILTON HOTEL OF VEGAS in Baku.
No scam at all but please book this hotel only through trip.com because trip.com get you half price, i came here personally to check the price for a room , they quoted me a $100 night which is reasonable but i opened trip.com app & found the same room price in just $50 a night then i try to book & its done in just 1 minute.
No Scam
No overcharge
Very friendly staff
Staff is so good like they talk to you like they are your family members.
I am very impressed, i will visit this hotel again & again & again but only through trip.com

GGuest UserThe hotel itself is more drawn by 3* rather than 4*. Nearby is a building that adds noise, dust and respectively spoils the view from the window. On the 7th floor I advise not to settle, as on the 8th there is a 24-hour restaurant, which periodically takes place various events, after which the staff put the furniture back. It is difficult to sleep at such a timetable, as noise isolation is naturally none. Breakfasts are diverse, the Swedish table, but the quality of food on the firm three. Bedding is clean, but with holes. To the old city in a hurry step about 25-30 minutes. In general, I can't say that it was terrible, but the second time I won't return to the hotel.

AArtyom PetukhovWhen I checked in I was told the door is broken so I could not open it with the electronic key and they'll open it, but it's gonna be fixed the next day. Of course it was never fixed and I had to ask the staff to open it for me every time. Felt REALLY awkward. Then some day some random woman (she was working here I believe) just opened my door and walked in while I was in my room at midnight, saw me, said sorry and run away. What was that I have no idea, but it kinda gives you an idea about their take on privacy. The TV was not working, because the cable was literally torn apart, the WiFi broke down several times and one time it was more than 24 hours. The showerhead was broken, the water from the shower never went the way it supposed to, but straight to the floor, the toilet was not really attached to the floor (thankfully it was attached to communications). With that being said, I still think the hotel is okay for the price, the room was nice, big and clean and had a personal balcony and the staff were really friendly.
