"Lhasa slept the best in recent years. On the day of check-in, I was weak and speechless. Gesang at the front desk saw that I was in poor condition. I immediately poured water and provided oxygen cylinders. I upgraded the room type for me. I also took the initiative to greet my colleague sister to help carry the luggage to the room and told me that if I rested, I would still feel uncomfortable calling the front desk in time. Gesang's warm and thoughtful service touched me so much! This Atour is newly opened, the room is clean and bright, the laundry room is clean and hygienic, the surrounding environment is quiet, the travel is convenient, and the decoration specifications are better than that of many first-tier cities in the mainland. "Pros: First time visiting Lhasa, and the room facilities are brand new. The diffused oxygen system is a great touch, and the view is absolutely fantastic – you can gaze at the Potala Palace right from your bed. The parking lot is huge, and you can access Barkhor Street directly from the back door by just swiping your room key. Areas for improvement: The WeChat contact for the butler service, which comes with the room key, was very slow to respond after I added them. It might be handled by the front desk, but if they want to promote a butler service, I’d suggest having dedicated staff for it."

It is my favorite hotel in Lhasa. The hotel service is very good, all check-in details are clearly explained, and if there are any changes, please contact us in advance. The facilities are a bit old but well maintained. The lights in the elevator are a bit dim and you can't see the buttons clearly. It is recommended to use a more powerful light."

A very unique and beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious with 24-hour underfloor heating (the temperature is adjustable, so you can adjust it to your comfort). The bathroom is also spacious with a separate wet and dry area (though it doesn't have underfloor heating, which is a minor drawback). The view from the rooms is the most beautiful part; you can take amazing photos just by sitting outside the room, far more beautiful than strolling through Barkhor Street. The traditional kitchen on the first floor also greatly exceeded my expectations. The food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch; it would be a popular restaurant even in a first-tier coastal city.

The hotel environment is excellent, and it's very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely have stayed a few more days if I hadn't already booked my flight. The hotel activities are also great. However, I was quite disappointed with the front desk service. We had two rooms in our party, and one of them was upgraded, but we weren't informed. When I called the front desk, the first time they said they were busy with check-ins. The second time I called, they told me the room card was incorrect. A little later, they said it was an upgrade. I'm not sure how credible the front desk's statements are. Then, the next day, when I inquired about the deposit refund, they initially told me the deposit for room 501 had been returned. I told them I paid 1000 for both rooms together, and then they said room 507 hadn't been inspected yet. I'm not sure if the hotel front desk has proper systematic training. I booked for one night, and both explanations from the front desk felt deceptive. I hope the hotel can provide more training for their front desk staff. Although the front desk's actions made me uncomfortable, I'm very satisfied with how the hotel manager handled the situation. He went back and forth several times to resolve it for me and kept apologizing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Lhasa next time, but I sincerely hope they can thoroughly and systematically train their front desk staff. After all, it's a high-end hotel, but the front desk's communication style doesn't seem to match that standard.

As soon as I entered the door, the young lady at the front desk enthusiastically presented Hada. Many wooden furniture in the room were very warm and tuned. The roof could see the Potala Palace. Although there was no breakfast, there were many snacks in the room. It was also cheap and affordable to return home with milk slices and barley at your own expense. I found it delicious when I returned home. Let Miss Sister help send it again, hahahaha

During my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa, I met a true guardian who brightened my trip with his sincerity and professionalism – our butler, Robert Xiang Hongwei. With every proactive greeting and meticulous action, he transformed the phrase “feeling at home” into a heartwarming reality. The best service is when guests forget they are being “served.” With Robert, I witnessed the pinnacle of hotel service: not making guests feel deliberately “cared for,” but rather, through natural kindness, having every need met silently. His every initiative, every “Okay, I’ll arrange it for you right away,” conveyed the same message: Here, you don't have to be a “guest,” just be “yourself.” The Shangri-La Hotel shines because of employees like him, and the industry is warmed by professionals like him. May this subtle light illuminate the journeys of more people, making every arrival a reunion worth looking forward to. I will definitely choose Shangri-La Hotel again for my next stay!

The Tibetan-style rooms were rustic yet stylish, quite quiet at night, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The courtyard was beautiful, and there was live music in the evening. I had beef hot pot here, which was delicious, and also afternoon tea with fried potatoes and ice cream, all very tasty. The receptionist upgraded me to an oxygen-equipped room because I booked three rooms, one of which didn't have late check-out service. After explaining to the receptionist, she also helped me with late check-out for that room, which I was very grateful for! There were ******* costume photoshoots in the courtyard, and I had a set taken there. The makeup and styling were excellent; you could communicate your needs, the makeup artist was very patient, and the photographer was also very skilled. Taking photos in the courtyard had a special feel to it. I recommend this hotel.
