His every initiative, every “Okay, I’ll arrange it for you right away,” conveyed the same message: Here, you don't have to be a “guest,” just be “yourself.” The Shangri-La Hotel shines because of employees like him, and the industry is warmed by professionals like him. May this subtle light illuminate the journeys of more people, making every arrival a reunion worth looking forward to. I will definitely choose Shangri-La Hotel again for my next stay!"

"This was my first time visiting a high-altitude area, and after much deliberation, I chose the trusted St. Regis hotel. They upgraded me to a suite in the main building, which was excellent. The room was well-equipped, clean, and tidy. It even had an oxygen concentrator, though the oxygen concentration felt a bit low. For someone experiencing severe altitude sickness, this can be quite unsettling. It would be better if the oxygen facilities were improved, as many hotels now offer diffused oxygen systems. I felt much more at ease knowing there's a medical room on the third floor of the hotel. (It would be even better if the hotel waived the small fees (10-20 CNY) for basic checks like blood oxygen, blood pressure, and heart rate. Oxygen therapy and medication were charged normally.) After all, the medical room is a selling point for the hotel. My butler for this stay was Luodan from concierge. His service was exceptional. He'd provide daily weather updates, temperature forecasts, and remind me to bring an umbrella. He even brought my takeout directly to my room, making me feel truly at home. He helped me arrange a private car and driver, recommending the most cost-effective options. When I checked out, he carefully loaded my luggage into the car and knew exactly which car was picking me up. He was incredibly thoughtful, treating me like a friend. Overall, my stay was very pleasant."

"The hotel environment is excellent, and it's very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely have stayed a few more days if I hadn't already booked my flight. The hotel activities are also great. However, I was quite disappointed with the front desk service. We had two rooms in our party, and one of them was upgraded, but we weren't informed. When I called the front desk, the first time they said they were busy with check-ins. The second time I called, they told me the room card was incorrect. A little later, they said it was an upgrade. I'm not sure how credible the front desk's statements are. Then, the next day, when I inquired about the deposit refund, they initially told me the deposit for room 501 had been returned. I told them I paid 1000 for both rooms together, and then they said room 507 hadn't been inspected yet. I'm not sure if the hotel front desk has proper systematic training. I booked for one night, and both explanations from the front desk felt deceptive. I hope the hotel can provide more training for their front desk staff. Although the front desk's actions made me uncomfortable, I'm very satisfied with how the hotel manager handled the situation. He went back and forth several times to resolve it for me and kept apologizing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Lhasa next time, but I sincerely hope they can thoroughly and systematically train their front desk staff. After all, it's a high-end hotel, but the front desk's communication style doesn't seem to match that standard."

Given the unique challenges of Lhasa's high altitude, she patiently provided essential advice on traveling, rest, and diet for high-altitude environments. She even adjusted our room's equipment and prepared oxygen facilities in advance, tailored to our situation, to help prevent altitude sickness. By pre-arranging every check-in detail, she ensured we felt completely reassured and cared for even before we arrived. Upon arrival and during our stay, Dekyi's service continued to be meticulous and attentive in every detail. She was gentle and sincere in her demeanor, yet efficient and reliable in her actions, patiently following up on our experience throughout. She regularly checked on our well-being and meticulously answered all our questions about sightseeing and dining. Whenever we had a request, she was always there to respond immediately and resolve it efficiently and properly. Her service was just right—never intrusive, yet always comprehensive, balancing professionalism with warmth. In the unfamiliar high-altitude environment, Dekyi, with her twelve years of dedication and passion, provided care that felt like family. There was no perfunctory, by-the-book service, only genuine effort. Every single detail showcased the professional caliber of a high-end butler. I truly commend Dekyi (Nancy) for her outstanding service! It's because of dedicated, responsible, and warmly enthusiastic staff like her that our stay on the ******* Plateau was so exceptionally fulfilling and heartwarming. The next time I come to Lhasa, the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise will still be my first choice, and I will definitely be looking for Butler Dekyi again!"

"Facilities: The room is a medium size, not very big, but the balcony is quite spacious. On the first day, I experienced some altitude sickness and lacked oxygen. The diffused oxygen supply wasn't quite enough, so I had to sit next to an oxygen tank. Cleanliness: OK Environment: Very good, with an old town style. The atmosphere is a bit dark and mysterious, and the room itself is also quite dim. Service: There's a butler service, and the milk tea in the lobby is delicious. Breakfast: Quite average, not many varieties. The rice noodles they cooked were also just so-so. Evening drink: It was a tremella soup."

This kind of genuine care is something you might not even find in a five-star hotel. The value for money was surprisingly good. Honestly, I expected a Hilton to cost at least several hundred, but the price I booked was much lower than I anticipated, even more cost-effective than some private rooms in hostels. The room was clean and spacious, with oxygen supply and a humidifier, ensuring a really sound sleep at night. While breakfast wasn't a lavish buffet, it offered plenty of tsampa, butter tea, and boiled eggs, enough to keep me full until the afternoon, saving me lunch money. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and getting to the Potala Palace or Jokhang Temple costs just one yuan, making transportation costs almost negligible. After this stay, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Not just because it was affordable, but because of the unreserved kindness from the ******* people. Next time I visit Tibet, I won't hesitate – I'm definitely staying here again! 🙏🎒"

"Songtsam was my first choice for my trip to Lhasa with my mother. The service was absolutely fantastic! A special thank you to Ms. Quji and Ms. Geji at the front desk for their attentive service! They responded to almost all our requests immediately, and the emotional support they provided was incredibly high; it felt like coming home. The room layout was spacious, more like a one-bedroom apartment. The toiletries were their own brand, but the toiletries could be upgraded to a more comfortable brand. The breakfast was excellent, with *******, Chinese, and Western options available. I'll definitely be going to Lhasa again in May or June, and I'll choose Songtsam again!"
