The room's decor felt incredibly homey, far from the cold, impersonal hotel style, and instead filled with a sense of lived-in warmth. The solid wood furniture, wool ******* rugs, and that window overlooking Nanshan Park all contributed to a particularly comfortable stay. What touched me most was the hotel's service. The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic; seeing me struggling with my luggage alone, she proactively helped me carry it up and even brought me a warm cup of Rhodiola tea.

JJia On The RoadOur 3-day stay in Lhasa was absolutely fantastic, especially traveling with my mom. The hotel's convenience, cleanliness, and excellent service really made our mother-daughter trip much more harmonious. - The location is incredibly convenient. It's about 1.5 kilometers to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and photo shoot spots, all easily walkable. We explored Lhasa entirely on foot during our stay. - They were well-prepared for altitude sickness. The room has an oxygen concentrator that can be used for diffusion or nasal cannula. On the first night, I foolishly took a shower and felt nauseous and dizzy in the middle of the night, doubting my existence. The butler came to help me with the oxygen concentrator in the middle of the night, and I finally got two hours of sleep after using oxygen until dawn. I searched for altitude sickness on Xiaohongshu, feeling like I was on the verge of needing a hospital. The front desk on the second floor has a pulse oximeter, and I felt relieved after seeing my reading was in the 80s. - I can't praise the butlers and front desk enough; their service was perfect! It wasn't the fake kind of luxury service you often find, but genuinely thoughtful and comfortable. - The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the Potala Palace, making breakfast a delightful experience.

Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen. There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning. Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

The airport pickup service was punctual and attentive. The driver was calm and professional, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey. Throughout our trip, the hotel arranged a dedicated driver to take us to Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. The routes were well-planned, the driving was steady, and he waited patiently, allowing us to easily visit these sacred sites without any worries. I must give special praise to our butler, Zhixi. His service was incredibly meticulous and he anticipated our every need. From guiding us during check-in and offering itinerary suggestions to providing tips for high altitude, he followed up attentively throughout, always responsive to our requests. He handled every small detail with such care and thoughtfulness, making us feel completely at ease. The dining experience at the restaurant was excellent. The dishes were varied, delicious, and of high quality. A special thanks to Dekyi Wangmo for her exceptional care. Her service was warm and attentive; she proactively anticipated our needs, from taking orders to refilling tea and providing thoughtful details. The dining atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and we enjoyed every meal thoroughly. This was especially helpful for us who experienced some altitude sickness. Standard hotel services were also top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were humble, courteous, and responded quickly. Whether it was helping with facilities, addressing requests, or providing temporary assistance, they were efficient and warm, truly making us feel at home. From airport transfers and butler service to restaurant care, the Shangri-La Hotel's exceptional dedication protected our entire journey, making our high-altitude trip warm and smooth.

Ssunny1029Borrowing my mother's account to comment ~ It can be said that the trip to Lhasa was to check in Songzan. The expectations were high before departure, but I didn't expect that I would still be amazed by the beauty here. The housekeeper Luosang called to inquire about the arrival time before checking in, and he was already waiting at the door to greet us warmly when he arrived at the hotel. Lhasa in winter is more prone to altitude sickness than in summer. The housekeeper first took us to rest in the hotel lobby and tasted the special highland barley milk cakes and sweet tea, which was as warm as welcoming his friends to visit his home. The battery car arrived directly at the guest room, and the door was opened with an ancient key. The ******* fragrance came out. The ******* decoration style is unique and elegant. The sunlight filled the living room through the ******* window. Language cannot describe this warm feeling. Every Songzan person I met in the hotel is sincere and lovely. They really treat us as guests from afar, allowing us to have a more comfortable stay. Breakfast is on the second floor, and you can overlook the Potala Palace. It's a pity that the Western restaurant on the third floor is closed recently. For dinner, I chose the ******* restaurant on the second floor. The dishes are very good. The restaurants are very quiet and the atmosphere is very good. There is also a boutique next to the hotel lobby. The scarves from Nole and the carpets from Kavajian are worth buying. I really don't want to leave. I will bring my family here again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage. The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app. There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
