"Choosing the Spring and Autumn Oxygen Hotel for my Lhasa trip was definitely the right decision; the overall experience completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent central location, just a 10-minute walk from Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. This means no long commutes for sightseeing and pilgrimages. The surrounding area is packed with ******* restaurants and outdoor shops, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel's overall atmosphere is tranquil and elegant, offering a peaceful escape amidst the city's hustle and bustle. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, featuring wooden floors and minimalist ******* soft furnishings that create a warm and relaxing ambiance. The amenities are comprehensive: all rooms have 24-hour diffused oxygen supply and humidifiers with adjustable oxygen flow. They even thoughtfully provide nasal cannulas and oximeters, perfectly addressing the challenges of high-altitude hypoxia and dryness. The bathroom is designed with a wet/dry separation, offering stable hot water all day. Tea sets, charging facilities, and high-quality toiletries are also fully equipped, showing great attention to detail. Cleanliness is absolutely impeccable. Guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are meticulously cleaned at regular intervals daily. The bedding is soft and odor-free, and there's no dust or stains on surfaces or corners; the bathroom is dry and spotless. From its prime location and comfortable living environment to its complete amenities and strict cleaning protocols, every aspect provides peace of mind. "This hotel is super close to the Potala Palace! The room was clean, bright, warm, and really comfortable 👍. The breakfast service was also great, with delicious local specialties that were well-balanced and healthy. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, and I even got to enjoy views of the Potala Palace while having breakfast. The complimentary afternoon fruit and local yak yogurt were also a lovely touch and very tasty 😋. Overall, for my first trip to Tibet, it was an excellent experience. I'd definitely stay here again next time!"

Lhasa Potala Palace Square Jiangsu Road Atour Hotel

📍 No. 28 Jiangsu Road, Chengguan District, Lhasa
★★★★ 9.6 (596 reviews)

"Pros: First time visiting Lhasa, and the room facilities are brand new. The diffused oxygen system is a great touch, and the view is absolutely fantastic – you can gaze at the Potala Palace right from your bed. The parking lot is huge, and you can access Barkhor Street directly from the back door by just swiping your room key. Areas for improvement: The WeChat contact for the butler service, which comes with the room key, was very slow to respond after I added them. It might be handled by the front desk, but if they want to promote a butler service, I’d suggest having dedicated staff for it."

"I didn't do much research before coming to Lhasa, so I'm glad I stayed here. The owner has travel partnerships and can help recommend routes, book tours, and get discounts on the Princess Wencheng show, which is perfect for people like me who are too lazy to do research. We visited several places around Lhasa, and the scenery was truly beautiful. The itinerary was also quite smooth, without having to compare prices or research routes everywhere. The guesthouse is conveniently located, close to Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple. In the evenings, you can drink tea and chat in the lobby, with adorable Labradors wandering around – it's incredibly relaxing. The owner is very friendly and approachable; he listens attentively to your needs and helps you make arrangements. The overall experience felt more like a trip than just staying in a hotel."

Lhasa Fanlian Hotel Hotels in Lhasa

Lhasa Fanlian Hotel

"I just arrived in Lhasa and was suffering from severe altitude sickness. This hotel's 24-hour dual oxygen diffusion system was an absolute lifesaver; I slept soundly all night without any discomfort. The overall ******* Wabi-sabi aesthetic is stunning, with prayer wheels and butter lamps in the lobby creating an amazing atmosphere. The rooftop terrace offers views of the Potala Palace, and the sunset photos I took there turned out incredible. The butler service was attentive throughout. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with hot sweet tea and a Hada. The room was equipped with a humidifier, high-quality bedding, and smart bathroom amenities – every detail was considered. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety, including ******* sweet tea, porridge, and noodles. There's also an old ******* house bar and a ******* incense making experience, allowing for an immersive cultural experience. The location is quiet, yet only a ten to fifteen-minute drive from Barkhor Street and the Potala Palace, making it very convenient for getting around. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Lhasa!"

Lhasa Snow Paradise International Hotel (Potala Palace) Hotels in Lhasa

Lhasa Snow Paradise International Hotel (Potala Palace)

"We booked an upscale 5-star hotel in Lhasa. The hotel offered comprehensive facilities and very spacious rooms. However, the pillows were a bit too high, which made sleeping uncomfortable for our necks. Moreover, the signage to the guest room floors was unclear, causing us to get lost and end up back in the third-floor lobby before a staff member finally escorted us to our room. The hotel's policies felt quite impersonal and rigid. We had booked a room type that included breakfast, but upon going to the restaurant in the morning, we were denied entry as they claimed our breakfast wasn't registered. To make matters worse, they also refused to refund the breakfast cost. This felt completely unacceptable!"

The St. Regis Lhasa Resort Hotels in Lhasa

The St. Regis Lhasa Resort

"The hotel is beautiful and the suite is very spacious, especially the bathroom which was as large as a public restroom. The room facing the outdoor garden was also lovely. Breakfast was ordinary, quite crowded, and a bit noisy. The main issue was that other five-star hotels offer dedicated butler service, but this one doesn't. The front desk staff were cold, although the other service staff were quite good."

Shangri-La Hotel, Lhasa

"The hotel was clean and tidy, and the rooms were well-equipped with oxygen concentrators and humidifiers. The front desk staff and other hotel employees were all very friendly and accommodating. We received complimentary fruit in our room, and the living room offered a direct view of the Potala Palace. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the staff at the executive lounge were very enthusiastic with their service. Although I experienced some altitude sickness, the hotel's thoughtful service made our stay very comfortable and pleasant."

"Had a wonderful stay! The guesthouse beautifully preserved its old wooden structure while incorporating modern updates. I slept really well on the first night. The staff, a few A-jias, were so gentle and attentive; I only caught the names of the front desk attendants, Cita and Ci'yang. While there's no breakfast served, there are plenty of breakfast spots right outside. Plus, the hotel's ground floor has an amazing Indian restaurant!"

"The facilities are complete. The lobby has a ******* style, and as soon as I walked in, the front desk helped me with my luggage. They also offered us their special 'Xueju Xueshe' (snow residence/society) to help alleviate altitude sickness, which was really effective. I'll definitely stay here again next time. I stayed for several days this time, and they even upgraded my room. The breakfast was delicious, and there's free parking downstairs. Environment: Good Service: Good"

Orange Hotel (Lhasa Jokhang Temple Barkhor Street Hotel) Hotels in Lhasa

Orange Hotel (Lhasa Jokhang Temple Barkhor Street Hotel)

"The hotel's environment and facilities are great, with 24-hour oxygen supply and nasal oxygen available. Breakfast is good. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Barkhor Street, which is a bit far on foot. Also, there's one staff member who frequently forgets tasks and needs more training. However, overall, the Orange Hotel is excellent and I highly recommend staying here!"

Lhasa Reziba Hotel ★★★
"The staff here is sooooo cool. As soon as I arrived, they took my heavy luggage and settled me in in a nice room. AC is icy cold, high speed wifi. Room is clean and essential. I had some struggle with using Wechat to pay with a foreign card, and they helped me adding cash to WeChat pay. I was feeling the altitude sickness and they helped me with O2 and effective medicine loco uses. Some details such as they use pressurized O2 bottle as supply instead of the cheap household regenerative ones. They don't charge for bottle of water. These gestures go a long way! Finally, the facility itself is a ******* style courthouse with an art store next to it and location is inside of Barkor street old town. This enabled me to explore near by foot. Even with DIDI, it was quite convient - just about a 5 min walk to get to the pick up spot. I like this place so much I extended my stay!"

ChunQiu Oxygen-Rich Hotel ★★★★
"Traveling with a group, we booked two twin rooms and one king room at the Lhasa Chunqiu Oxygen Hotel. The overall experience far exceeded our expectations, and I just had to write a glowing review. The hotel is located in the heart of Lhasa's city center, very close to all the popular attractions, saving us a lot of travel time and making getting around incredibly efficient. All three room types are well-designed and functional. The twin rooms are perfect for friends traveling together, while the king room is ideal for those who prioritize a good night's sleep. All rooms are equipped with oxygen supply and humidifiers, specifically designed to combat the dry, high-altitude environment. We slept exceptionally well every night and experienced absolutely no altitude sickness. The hotel maintains strict hygiene standards; hallways, guest rooms, and the restaurant are cleaned and disinfected daily, ensuring a fresh and clean environment. The service team is warm and attentive. Upon check-in, they thoughtfully explained how to use the oxygen and appliances, and daily housekeeping always replenished bottled water and snacks. Breakfast offered a good balance of meat and vegetables, with both ******* and Western options, satisfying everyone's dietary preferences. The hotel's overall ambiance is tranquil and elegant, a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. It allows you to experience the local Lhasa life up close while still enjoying a quiet resting environment. Booking multiple rooms for a group is also discounted and great value. This hotel truly offers an all-around excellent experience – it's definitely our top choice for accommodation in Lhasa!"

"The location is excellent, and the service was good too. Both of our rooms got upgraded. However, the air conditioning in the west-facing room wasn't powerful enough; it couldn't cool down the room, so it was a bit hot at night."

Lhasa Potala Palace Yishan Hotel ★★★★
"We stayed in the courtyard family room at the Atour Hotel Lhasa Potala Palace. The room layout was spacious enough for a family, though the only minor drawback was that it faced the hotel's inner courtyard, so there was no street view and less natural light, making the room a bit dim. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the old city. You can walk to the Potala Palace Square, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street in just 5-8 minutes. After a day of sightseeing, it was lovely to stroll back to the hotel without the hassle of constantly taking taxis, which made exploring Lhasa with children incredibly convenient. The room also had oxygen equipment to help with altitude sickness. Overall, our stay was excellent, and I highly recommend it for families. If natural light is a priority for you, consider booking a street-view room instead."

Puxin Fuyang · Scenic Homestay (Lhasa Potala Palace Barkhor Street) ★★
"Bringing family to Lhasa, our biggest concerns were altitude sickness and transportation inconvenience, and this guesthouse took good care of both. There was a free nasal oxygen concentrator in the lobby, and some rooms even had individual oxygen machines, which was reassuring for first-time visitors to high altitudes. The receptionist and owner were very attentive, reminding us not to rush, to drink plenty of water, and to rest as much as possible upon arrival. The location was also convenient, within walking distance of the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. The rooms provided disposable towels, bath towels, and toilet seat covers, making us feel clean and at ease with family. The owner was incredibly welcoming, patiently chatting with my parents and even offering suggestions for our next day's activities. Our stay felt very personal and welcoming, not just a cold, impersonal accommodation."
