Beautiful hotel that still preserves its historical architecture with modern luxuries. We enjoyed the heated floor (it's so comfortable to walk around) and the oxygen machine (a lifesaver when we just reached Lhasa!). Special thanks to Guest Service staff - 次塔 for coordinating breakfast and housekeeping with us throughout our stay, and for helping to safekeep our forgotten item when we checked out! Her warm hospitality helped us ease into the high altitude environment more easily! Oh and don't forget to try the Indian restaurant within the hotel - it's extremely delicious and the price is affordable! We hope to return soon!

1. This is by far the best value, most comfortable, and tastiest hotel in Lhasa. I first stayed here during the Keriya Pass trip and was so impressed that I've returned every time since, and have even recommended it to friends.
2. The service is consistently excellent, the rooms are spacious, and they provide oxygen, humidifiers, and ample heating. The parking lot is also large.
3. The breakfast is incredibly diverse and genuinely delicious – it's got that authentic wok-hei flavor! It's far superior to many five-star hotels that offer variety but lack taste. They even provide convenient individual bread portions for takeaway.
4. I didn't have time to eat fruit at breakfast, so a lovely front desk attendant kindly packed a small box for me. So thoughtful! The fruit was sweet and fresh, and the quality was excellent.
5. Because of this Lhasa hotel, I now only consider staying at Pingcuo Kangsang hotels whenever I'm in Tibet. I truly recommend it!

The room was clean and hygienic, located right on Lhasa's pedestrian street, with a night market just outside. It's situated between the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, both about a six to seven-minute walk away. Downstairs, there's a yak hotpot restaurant with the popular internet celebrity, Little Lamu, performing. They also have automatic robots that deliver takeout directly to your room. The hotel has a free parking lot on the -1 floor, which is very convenient. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lhasa, it's reliable! [Strong][Strong][Strong]

Guest UserI booked a room with a Potala Palace view, and it truly felt like the entire palace was right in front of me – the view was absolutely perfect. The bedding was also very comfortable, and I slept wonderfully every night of my four-night stay. The facilities were comprehensive, with nasal oxygen equipment and a humidifier, both working well. The bathroom facilities were a bit basic, and there was a slight odor from the floor drain. Every night, fresh fruit and yogurt were delivered to the room; the yogurt was delicious. There's no private parking lot, so you have to walk about 100 meters, but the hotel reimburses the parking fee.

Guest UserIf you're coming to Lhasa and want a hotel with history and atmosphere, look no further than the Gurkha Hotel!
This is a 400-year-old historic building, formerly the Nepalese Consulate, and now the Gesar Japo Museum. Stepping inside feels like traveling back in time to old Tibet, completely immersed in ******* culture.
🌿 **The courtyard ambiance is divine!**
The Tibetan-style courtyard on the first floor gets amazing sunlight and is lush with greenery, creating an incredible atmosphere! Relax in the courtyard, sip on a special sweet tea, or enjoy some juice or coffee for a leisurely afternoon tea. You might also want to try the local yak yogurt and dried cheese curds – a delicious blend of sweet and milky flavors.
✅ **Amazing perks when you stay!**
▫️ Free use of hotel ******* clothing (10:30 AM - 10:30 PM), which you can wear out to explore Barkhor Street.
▫️ 10 complimentary courtyard travel photos (taken by a partner studio; makeup/premium outfits are an additional charge).
▫️ Free admission to the Gesar Japo Museum.
▫️ Rooms come with a high-altitude amenity kit: face masks, hair oil, makeup remover wipes, and wet wipes – thoughtful details.
▫️ Unlimited free sweet tea in the courtyard.
📍 **Unbeatable location!**
Right on Barkhor Street's Kora (pilgrim circuit), just a 3-minute walk to Jokhang Temple. You can easily pop back to the hotel to rest whenever you get tired from exploring.
It's perfect for travel photography and creating instant video content. The service is attentive and warm – staying here is definitely the right choice when you're in Lhasa!

DcSevenThe newly opened Hampton by Hilton in the Lhasa Economic Development Zone is incredibly new, with freshly opened room cards. I chose it because it was new, but I encountered a number of issues, which I'd like to share with you. First, the receptionist was very interesting and diligently asked about my room requirements. I requested a quieter room on a higher floor, but to my surprise, I received a room on a higher floor facing the laundry facilities. The room also had a strong odor, like a moldy refrigerator. Lhasa, as dry as it is, shouldn't have such a smell. I suspect it was the odor of laundry. Since the receptionist didn't know the room well, why bother asking for guest requirements? Our group of three had the same three-bedroom room, but two had a pull-out sofa bed, while one had a standard single sofa. Booking systems in other cities clearly indicate that these are two different room types, and there's a price difference. Another point: this was my second trip to Tibet, and I've stayed in over a dozen hotels, large and small, but this was the first one I encountered that actually required a QR code to pay for oxygen. I think Hampton's approach isn't very good, and in high-altitude areas where oxygen is a necessity, this is highly questionable.

The hotel's location is excellent, and it's very clean. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, even offering a complimentary souvenir. The room features 24-hour free healthy oxygen and ******* medicine foot soaks, which was a very nice touch. The facilities are all well-equipped, including a humidifier and oxygen, and it's super convenient for getting anywhere.

It's close to Guo Street, making transportation very convenient. The only downside is that the oxygen supply wasn't as good as I expected; I woke up in the middle of the night with a headache.

The room facilities were excellent, and free oxygen was provided at 8:00 PM. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted quite good. The lobby reception staff were very helpful. The hotel's location was good, and taxis were readily available. It also had a courtyard, small garden, and pond, making for a beautiful environment. Thank you!

Guest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel.
The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage.
The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app.
There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
