"This quaint Tibetan-style hotel is located just inside Barkhor Street. It is very convenient to the Jokhang Temple and the Potala Palace. There are also many delicious shops nearby. The proprietress is very welcoming. I originally booked another hotel, but because it couldn't accommodate people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, I changed to this Babao Hotel, and I was very satisfied with the result."

AAilvxingdexiaxiaojieWhen I first arrived in Lhasa, I stayed at Jicai, primarily because of its cleanliness and its proximity to the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. My experience after checking in was excellent. After my trip to Nyingchi and Mêdog, I booked Jicai again. If you experience altitude sickness, the lobby provides an oxygen concentrator, and the rooms even have diffused oxygen supply.
I had wanted to try breakfast in Lhasa, so on my last day, I bought the hotel's breakfast and discovered their noodles (fen) are really good. I regretted not booking a room with breakfast included. If you're still debating whether to book breakfast, my advice is to go for it if you like sour and spicy noodles, because their breakfast noodles are delicious. Delicious, delicious!
Front desk service was good, and honestly, Jicai offers great value for money. Highly recommended.

Environment: Typical ******* residence, very distinctive, inevitably has some disadvantages of ******* residence, but Qijiaji still tried its best to make some improvements.
Sanitation: Good sanitation. It is worth booking such a room for 225 in peak season.
Facilities: The hot water temperature is always below 40 degrees, which is a flaw. Others are OK, and the ventilation is very bad, and the windows are difficult to open.

Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen.
There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning.
Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

DDcSevenThe newly opened Hampton by Hilton in the Lhasa Economic Development Zone is incredibly new, with freshly opened room cards. I chose it because it was new, but I encountered a number of issues, which I'd like to share with you. First, the receptionist was very interesting and diligently asked about my room requirements. I requested a quieter room on a higher floor, but to my surprise, I received a room on a higher floor facing the laundry facilities. The room also had a strong odor, like a moldy refrigerator. Lhasa, as dry as it is, shouldn't have such a smell. I suspect it was the odor of laundry. Since the receptionist didn't know the room well, why bother asking for guest requirements? Our group of three had the same three-bedroom room, but two had a pull-out sofa bed, while one had a standard single sofa. Booking systems in other cities clearly indicate that these are two different room types, and there's a price difference. Another point: this was my second trip to Tibet, and I've stayed in over a dozen hotels, large and small, but this was the first one I encountered that actually required a QR code to pay for oxygen. I think Hampton's approach isn't very good, and in high-altitude areas where oxygen is a necessity, this is highly questionable.

First of all, the hotel is in a very advantageous location, located in the city center, with convenient transportation, and surrounding attractions and shopping centers. Secondly, the hotel's service quality is very high. Xiaofang, the front desk staff, is warm and friendly, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very quick. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities and comfortable beds, providing a good rest environment.
Particularly worth mentioning is the hotel's catering service. The breakfast is rich in variety, with fresh ingredients and authentic taste. The environment of the restaurant is also very elegant and comfortable. In addition, the hotel also provides a variety of special services, such as night view tours, special cars to the Potala Palace, Norbulingka, etc. The facilities are very complete, with medical oxygen concentrator humidifiers! Let us maintain a healthy lifestyle during the journey.
Overall, this stay at Verona Hotel was a very pleasant experience. The tour guide arranged by the travel agency on the first floor is very good, and the explanation is wonderful! Both the hotel's hardware facilities and service quality have reached a high standard. We are very satisfied and look forward to staying again next time.

GGuest UserThe hotel offers both diffuse oxygen supply and nasal cannula oxygen in the rooms. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. On the first night, the room temperature wouldn't go down, but after discussing it with the front desk the next day, they promptly moved us to a different room. The butler was also very enthusiastic, showing us to the new room and explaining all the features and how to use them. They were also very responsive whenever we had questions. The hotel is conveniently located, not far from Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple; a 20-minute walk is quite manageable. However, the hotel itself is located down an alley, which made it a bit difficult to find and a tiring walk. Also, the breakfast was just average.

XXiaojingerdegushiMany people, myself included, often debate between the St. Regis and the Shangri-La, as both hotels in Beijing are quite unremarkable. Ultimately, I chose the Shangri-La for its value for money. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender.
Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it.
My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work!
The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience.

GGuest UserThe InterContinental Lhasa Paradise is, without a doubt, one of the best luxury hotels I've ever stayed in – my entire experience was absolutely perfect!
I especially want to commend our butler, Dekyi Nancy. Her service genuinely made me feel at home. She was attentive and professional throughout, offering care and assistance just like family. Whether it was various needs during our stay or small questions about our itinerary, she patiently and meticulously resolved every single one. This level of thoughtful service is something I’ve never experienced in other hotels, and it was incredibly heartwarming. The hotel itself also completely exceeded my expectations. It perfectly blends ******* and European styles; the exterior is grand and magnificent, and it looks particularly stunning at night bathed in light. The lobby is spacious and impressive, exuding an upscale ambiance. The beds in the room were incredibly comfortable, making for a truly peaceful stay. Dekyi Nancy also recommended the hotel's buffet, which was astounding! It's primarily seafood-focused, with premium ingredients like king crab all-you-can-eat. The variety of dishes was extensive, the taste was superb, and it offered excellent value for money.
My entire stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel, and I want to once again thank Dekyi Nancy for her outstanding service. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Lhasa!
