Had a fantastic stay in Lhasa! The room was very comfortable, and I slept incredibly well despite the high altitude. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and highly recommend this hotel!

During my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa, I met a true guardian who brightened my trip with his sincerity and professionalism – our butler, Robert Xiang Hongwei. With every proactive greeting and meticulous action, he transformed the phrase “feeling at home” into a heartwarming reality. The best service is when guests forget they are being “served.” With Robert, I witnessed the pinnacle of hotel service: not making guests feel deliberately “cared for,” but rather, through natural kindness, having every need met silently. His every initiative, every “Okay, I’ll arrange it for you right away,” conveyed the same message: Here, you don't have to be a “guest,” just be “yourself.” The Shangri-La Hotel shines because of employees like him, and the industry is warmed by professionals like him. May this subtle light illuminate the journeys of more people, making every arrival a reunion worth looking forward to. I will definitely choose Shangri-La Hotel again for my next stay!

The room facilities were quite good, but the service attitude was very poor, which significantly lowered the overall experience. Pros: The room facilities were relatively new, with a desk and office chair, a small sofa, and convenient amenities like a microwave. Aside from a tear in the carpet, the cleanliness was acceptable. The breakfast offered a good variety, though it was quite crowded. Cons: While one can't expect too much service at this price point and positioning, it's arguably the worst service in its class! Even budget-friendly chains like HUAZHU (Huazhu Group) feel lightyears ahead. Several points of dissatisfaction: Upon check-in, there was a queue, and three people behind the counter seemed to be struggling with something. I waited behind them for a while, and no one acknowledged a new guest had arrived or came over to help. After a long time, I saw someone move to the side, so I approached. Still, no one asked if I was checking in. I walked over and asked if the previous guest was finished, and only then, after being given a look that said 'What are you doing here?', did they start processing my check-in. After taking my ID, they immediately moved to a separate counter (a clearly distinct spot) without telling me to move there. I had to awkwardly move myself. They only provided basic breakfast times for my check-in information and didn't mention anything about the complimentary drinks included in my reservation, which I didn't need anyway so I didn't ask later. The window of my room faced a fence with cigarette butts and other trash scattered below. It was arguably worse than the interior of the room, but it was a basic room type, and a view wasn't a selling point, so I didn't pay too much attention. During check-out, after returning the room card, it took a moment to confirm. No one said 'please wait' or anything, so I just awkwardly stood there. As I left, I said 'thank you,' and was ignored without even a glance. It's clear that the staff here has almost no service awareness. Perhaps this hotel is very confident in its hardware and brand power and isn't too concerned about customer feelings and feedback. However, as a traveler, especially as the last hotel on a self-driving trip along the Sichuan-Tibet highway, it was very disappointing. Almost every other hotel on this trip, expensive or cheap, despite some flaws, had a far better service attitude than this one.

The location really has nothing to say, it takes10-15 minutes to walk to the Potala Palace Square, which is too convenient for us to travel to Lhasa! The hotel is newly opened in 2026, the facilities are very new but there is no smell at all. The most reassuring thing is that the room is equipped with a diffuse oxygen supply, air conditioning and humidifier. It is really important to sleep peacefully on the plateau! The bedding is the Serta double patent mattress of the standard ”Hampton Bed” in the United States, which is comfortable like trapped in the clouds. The bathroom is still Petrov's toiletries, the details are full. The service is also very warm, the front desk is not only warm and thoughtful, but also intimately introduce the details of the room oxygen supply, bathroom and other uses. The breakfast was a surprise, the variety was particularly rich, and it was rated as ”the favorite breakfast all the way” by many guests! In short, you can live in Lhasa with such a good location, new facilities, warm service, oxygen supply, breakfast bar hotel, cost-effective, next time you come to Lhasa, you must choose here!

I like the taste style very much. The three-person room is large, the bedding is white, comfortable and soft, and sleeps at night! There are two diffuse oxygen generators in the room, which can also be sucked. The indoor wardrobe is convenient for storage and the bathrobe is clean and tidy. The TV design is unique, the reading desk design is novel, the tea set on the tea table is very tasteful, the owner is interested! The bathroom is spacious, bright and comfortable, and the dry and wet areas are designed to be separated easily. There are also drying racks. Breakfast is 7.30-9:30, self-service, eggs, preserved egg porridge, miscellaneous grains, cold dishes, enough to eat. Go early~ The yard is square and convenient for parking. Love the multi-functional room on the third floor, suitable for chatting, gatherings, drinking tea. Love the green plants and the meaty people in the sun! The laundry room and dryer are also on the third floor. After washing the clothes, they are dried directly on the balcony on the third floor. They will be dried soon! Recommend you to come, the price is very good! Located near the Tibet Museum, more than 2 kilometers away from Barkhor Street, the surrounding is not so messy and noisy. The hotel is not far from the Potala Palace. The parking lot is large, there's a night market nearby, and a large supermarket is right next door, which is very convenient. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, check-in was quick, and they even proactively upgraded my room. They patiently answered all my questions about local sightseeing. The room was meticulously cleaned, even the corner of the bathroom was spotless. The room wasn't facing the street, so it was very quiet. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet! Highly recommended!

This business trip was my first time to the plateau. It was originally just an ordinary trip, but it became my most unforgettable stay experience. One helped me adjust the pillow and body position, and the other gently patted my back to help me breathe. After I felt more comfortable, I felt that I didn’t need to go to the hospital. What touched me most was that they were afraid that the room’s diffuse oxygen supply was not enough, and they also thoughtfully pulled the oxygen tank. It was so thoughtful. The next morning, the doorbell rang gently. I opened the door and found that it was the girl at the front desk who personally brought the breakfast tray, which was filled with porridge, side dishes and steaming sweet tea. ”I was afraid you might feel uncomfortable, so I sent it directly to you,” she said softly, ”Just tell us if you need anything.” Every day after that, I could always hear a gentle knock on the door at a fixed time. Sometimes it was fresh fruit, and every time it was accompanied by warm greetings. Before leaving, the girl at the front desk specially wrote down my return time and helped me call a car in advance. She stood at the door of the lobby with concern in her eyes. At that moment, I suddenly realized that real service is not about form, but about caring from the heart. In this strange city, I met not service staff, but a warm presence like family. Thank you for interpreting what true hospitality is with your meticulous care. It is a very good hotel in Lhasa, but the daily service is really not good. The order is for three days, and the room fee is prepaid, but the room card is only given for one day. I was very tired after playing outside in the evening of the first day, and I had to go to the service desk again to handle the procedures. What a hell! The faucet in the room has no bubbler, and the water flow is divergent when used; the shower head is full of scale, and many holes cannot discharge water, and the water flow rate of the water outlet holes is very fast, which is very uncomfortable on the body. In fact, just scrape the small silicone outlet, and you can only do it yourself. It is called a VIP building, but we are obviously not VIPs. Maybe there is a reception task. There is a parking space next to the entrance of the VIP building, but it is not allowed to park, and it would rather be empty all day. Alas, it is obvious that we asked for trouble when booking the room. The decoration of the whole building is still very luxurious. The room is quite large, the hygiene is still OK, and the oxygen supply service is real. The breakfast is quite good, with rich varieties, many local characteristics, and the dining service is quite good.
