Two days in advance, I added the housekeeper's WeChat and booked the meal and hot spring time.
It is more convenient to drive there. After locating their parking lot, a housekeeper will pick us up to check in at the B&B.
The room is still clean as a whole, with everything it should have. The welcome fruits and flowers are still very warm. There is only a window on the top to watch the starry sky. The glass is a little dirty after a long time, but it doesn't affect it at night.
After that, we walked around. The content of the B&B is still very complete, with a large room for dinner, facilities for children to play, hot springs and swimming pools, and places to read and drink tea.
Walking out of the B&B, the village is peaceful and quiet. Walk around and feel the environment and culture of Maoao Village.
I made an appointment for dinner and hot springs in the evening at the B&B. Because it is a reservation system, it is equivalent to a private soup, which feels good. Half an hour is completely enough. The dinner tastes good, and the chef gives a good review.
The above.

Guest UserThe hotel is located right on Chenghuangmiao Pedestrian Street, just a few minutes' walk from the metro station, making it super convenient. It's great for an evening stroll. We booked a family room, which was spacious with a thoughtful layout, and very clean and tidy. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The facilities were new and complete, with a smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a mini-fridge – everything you need. Breakfast offered both Chinese and Western options, incorporating local specialties, and tasted delicious. A big shout-out to all the staff, from the front desk to customer service and the restaurant staff – everyone was warm, attentive, and very responsive. We had a fantastic experience.

ScarletTheWandererEmbraced by the beauty of the mountains, this hotel is a true gem, offering panoramic views of bamboo forests from each room. The common dining area is a visual delight, adorned with tasteful furnishings and bathed in ample natural light. Our stay was elevated by the genuinely warm and accommodating staff, who went above and beyond to provide insightful recommendations for exploring the area.
Despite not having a car, the hotel's strategic location allowed us to embark on a delightful on-foot adventure. A scenic hike from the hotel unveiled a hidden gem—a breathtaking waterfall that added an extra layer of enchantment to our stay. Moreover, a leisurely walk down the mountain led us to a charming village nestled on the edge of a vast lake, creating the perfect setting for a tranquil sunset stroll.
Our overall experience at this haven was nothing short of magical. The thoughtful details, combined with the friendly staff and natural wonders surrounding the hotel, made it a memorable retreat. We can genuinely say this place exceeded our expectations, and we're already planning our return. Highly recommended for those seeking a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality.

AvivaxiaoIt's a lot cheaper than the B&B next door, but the bathroom in the room has a strong smell, a damp smell.
The proprietress is quite enthusiastic and responsive. Help heat up the food and get the tableware.
Very close to the beach, the beach in Dongdan is much better than that in Banshan

Guest UserIt’s a B&B that people like at first glance (at least that’s what I think). Whether it’s the facilities in the room or the scenery at the door (right next to the Qixiakeng Ancient Road), I think this visit is worth it! The food is also very delicious. My child didn’t even take a few bites of the food he ordered from a small restaurant near Xikou last year. It was not to his liking and it was also noisy. Unexpectedly, the chopsticks didn’t stop today, which means it’s very delicious and indeed in line with our taste. , How can taro be so pink and waxy! Delicious! We are already discussing how to come and stay for a few days during the summer vacation. In summer, we can play in the small stream in front of our house! Walking around the ancient village in the evening has a beautiful artistic conception! Anyway, it’s a comfortable stay and a comfortable environment. Get up and go hiking on the Qixiakeng Ancient Trail after breakfast tomorrow, which is the perfect end to this two-day and one-night short trip! Goodbye in the summer~

Anonymous UserOverall, it was a fairly satisfactory stay.
The hotel has an indoor kids' play area, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and even animal feeding, which gave the kids plenty to do during the hot summer days. The service was also quite good.
I usually wipe down hotel rooms again, and this one was pretty clean. However, in the dining area, twice we encountered staff who cleared dishes but didn't wipe the table. We had to call them over, and even then, it took a while for them to come.
The soundproofing was a bit poor. On the first night, I was in bed ready to sleep around 10 PM, but there were constant footsteps and chair-moving noises from upstairs until nearly midnight. The second night was fine, so I guess it depends on the guests upstairs.
Staying here also grants access to Zheng Shiqifang with the room card. It's about a 10-15 minute drive, but we only stayed for about 10-15 minutes because it was just too hot that day.

HepbyfNestled in a bamboo-ringed mountain hollow, Xikou Manxiugu B&B ingeniously tucks each forest villa into the hillside, creating a unique and secluded haven. Staying in these hollow villas, you can enjoy snow in winter, mist in spring, cicadas in summer, and autumn leaves, truly embracing the wild. You can imagine yourself as a free bird in the forest or an uninhibited 'wildling' from ancient times, far from the hustle and bustle. Wake up to the morning sun, watch the sunset in the evening, sip tea leisurely, enjoy a glass of wine at night, listen to the rain on the leaves, chat with friends, find romance with a loved one, or simply gaze at the starry sky. It’s simply delightful! I come back every other year for a few days; I arrive feeling weary and leave feeling completely refreshed.
The villas at Manxiugu are diverse in style and shape – from two-story Gothic-inspired spires to charming Baroque wooden cabins. Each room has a pleasant woody fragrance that ensures a peaceful night's sleep. On hot days, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear infinity pool. And the chef's culinary skills are truly exceptional – the food is delicious, not greasy, and incredibly appetizing, all at a reasonable price, so there's no need to dine out. The service philosophy is guest-first, with every request met and every detail handled until you're completely satisfied. I especially want to thank Miss Xiaoyu, who thoughtfully carried our bags and helped us, who aren't so young anymore, settle in comfortably. My detailed rambling is simply because my stay was so comfortable and satisfying, so I highly recommend everyone give it a try!

RuihongyangyangIt might have been peak season, as there were a lot of people, and I had to queue for check-in. The front desk offered welcome fruits. The hotel has three buildings: Haiyue Tower and Haixin Tower. The front desk didn't explain this clearly, just handed over the room card with basically no introduction. I had to figure out the hotel facilities on my own, and ended up in the wrong building, dragging my luggage and taking the wrong elevator. It's clear that the hotel was once a luxury establishment, with excellent facilities and design. Unfortunately, the facilities are now old, and the management isn't keeping up. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable, neither too soft nor too hard. The air conditioning worked well, cooling evenly without making it too cold; there was also a choice of pillows. Overall, the room stay was pleasant.
I booked this hotel for its infinity pool, but it turned out to be a disaster zone. The changing rooms were barely cleaned, with water on the floor making it easy to slip, so I had to be very careful. I went to the infinity pool later in the evening when there were fewer people. The water temperature was 32 degrees Celsius, turning it into more of a hot spring. The main issue was that the pool and water were quite dirty. It closed at 8:30 PM.
The breakfast suited the tastes of the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai regions, with many local specialties. There were plenty of staff, but also a lot of guests. No one seated us, and there was no need to flip a 'reserved' sign. On the first day, at the table next to us, two girls, about 12-13 years old, brought food bags and directly emptied a whole plate of cakes, bread, and fruits into them. They were well-trained and acted as if it was perfectly normal, without any discomfort. On the second morning, at the adjacent table were two young mothers, around 30, each with a 4-5-year-old child. One mother had a picnic bag filled with various food containers. After breakfast, she left with a fully packed picnic bag, which completely astonished me.
Upon checkout, the front desk gave a small gift, which was a thoughtful touch. I had dinner twice at the hotel's Cape No. 1 restaurant, and the seafood was fresh and delicious. It was a bit disappointing that swimming in the sea was not allowed.

GuimeiyemanThe hotel's interior is beautiful, perfect for photos on a sunny day. The in-room amenities are high-end, like a Dyson hairdryer and LELABO skincare products. The bed was also very comfortable. We stayed in a newly renovated room with a large terrace overlooking the inner courtyard. The travel photographer and butler both requested a positive review, so I'm giving five stars, but I still want to provide an objective assessment. I believe the core issue with the hotel's many negative reviews lies in the details. For example, there were only facial tissues available at the vanity, which was quite inconvenient. The TV couldn't cast, and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan. When I requested two bath sachets, only one was provided (though they did send another when asked). At the restaurant, when I was packing a breakfast to go, one staff member offered me cutlery and perhaps an extra napkin. Another staff member immediately interjected, saying ”just a pair of chopsticks is fine, no need for these.” I felt really awkward being there. The service is good, but you consistently get a subtle feeling of pettiness. While it's good for staff to be economical, they should also consider the guests' experience. I hope this objective review helps future guests and encourages the hotel to improve its details for a more comfortable stay.

yingyingI have always wanted to experience the Tree Frog Tribe, but unfortunately it is really difficult to book in summer. I am so lucky to be able to book the last two tree houses during the Spring Festival. The 3 days and 2 nights passed very quickly, and I was really reluctant to leave here. . The kind teachers and enthusiastic staff moved us every moment. The store manager of Tribe is professional and attentive. He has another identity as a barista. The coffee produced by the store manager is really delicious. Mr. Liu, who is in charge of the operation, always made us mistakenly think that he is a professional preschool teacher. He knows how to guide children very well and is very kind. She is very patient and takes good care of every child in the activities she leads. In the past few days, the children have experienced plant dyeing, went up the mountain to chop wood and set up a stove to light a fire, made their own glutinous rice dumplings, made a cabin, and spent time at night bonfire party, etc. I am very grateful that the B&B can arrange such rich activities for the children in winter.
Although I have just left, I am already looking forward to coming back here in the summer to experience a richer summer boutique camp. I will definitely come back here this summer.
