Hesperia Barcelona Presidente Reviews

We stayed with my spouse and child. I would generally recommend Hesperia Hotel to everyone. The hotel's location is very good. The rooms are spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Most importantly, it is a quiet hotel with no noise. For those who want to enjoy the Barcelona view, I recommend staying on the 11th floor or higher.

Very good location, lots of restaurants near by and within comfortable walking distance to attractions including Gaudi’s well known church, the Basílica de la Sagrada Família. Room is good size, with separated shower and toilet. Room attendant is very nice. We stayed 4 nights and may reserve it again if we’re going to Barcelona in the future. The only downside is the elevator is a bit smaller.

Staff was very helpful. Its an excellent location.

Location is good! I like the fact that there’s a self laundry opposite the hotel which is great for long travellers. Hotel is clean and amenities are adequately accessible.

I found this hotel miserable from many aspect. We arrived at midnight from the airport and we’re given the last room left. The room has a distinct smell that almost like a man’s underarm. We asked for a double room but it was two single beds put together. The shower head had a 30s hot water and 5s cold water loop. The bath tub was blocked. We asked for a change and were given an upgrade queen bed room the next day, thank you for that. Unfortunately, the new room still has the underarm smell but a bit less, and also a new smell like it’s been a very old room with unventilated smell from some furnitures or the wall. The shower head problems was still there. The location is alright, despite quite a distance from the metro station, you can still take the buses.

That’s exactly what I want! Excellent location, good services, acceptable price.

The hotel was nicely located on a central location with different transportation options. There are several restaurants in near proximity. Several supermarkets and bakeries which allow you to start your day with delicious pastries. The staff were nice and helpful. Rooms are big enough not to feel trapped in for the people who wanted to spend more indoor time. In short, I would like to book this place again when I’m back to Barcelona and can peacefully recommend to my friends.

Forgot my passport in the room after check out. The staff were very helpful and when I called they had it safe in reception for me. Nice area and comfortable room.

When I arrived and was assigned a room, the shampoo and shower gel bottles were empty, and the shower drain, which had never been used, did not drain well. The next day, I went sightseeing and when I returned to my room, the housekeeping staff had stolen the food from my room. Do you think this makes sense? What on earth are they thinking, and with what professionalism do they carelessly touch their customers’ food? This person is also an employee of a 4-star hotel. Think with common sense. The employee did something that was ethically unacceptable. And while staying here for 5 nights, the housekeeping staff left the staff key, which was used as a master key, in my room twice. I think it would be good to be more focused and meticulous when working. I've been to many hotels in Europe, but this was the first time in my life that my room door couldn't be opened because my phone was near the key. We never put our phones in our bags and always hung them on a string like a necklace. If it was because of the battery, I got a spare room key and asked my companion to put another key in the bag. There were no cell phones or batteries in the group's bags. But the door didn't open that day, so I had to go to the reception again. On the 12th, the first day the door didn't open, when I first said the door wouldn't open, one of the female employees showed an arrogant expression and attitude as if she was ignoring me, which really broke my heart. And on the morning of check-out, a staff member came into my room without knocking. This is truly absurd. The reception staff should be ashamed of themselves for being rude and arrogant to the end and not even offering a proper apology. In the 5 days I stayed here, this was the first time I experienced something so unpleasant and annoying in a hotel. Overall, the staff at this hotel need to rethink their service mindset to match that of a 4-star hotel. The only thing I regret coming to Barcelona is staying here. I didn't feel it was worth a second visit at all. This hotel gave me the worst experience. There will never be a second visit.
