Hotel Barcelona Condal Mar, Affiliated by Meliá

It’s a bit far from city centre, need to take taxi for sightseeing and attractions locations.

To whom it may concern: I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel. I booked a "premium" room and spent over €1000, only to find that the room did not meet my expectations. One of the main issues I encountered was the bathroom in the room. It had a sliding door that was transparent, offering no privacy. Additionally, the lamp fixtures were hanging from the ceiling wires, which was not only unsightly but also a safety concern. I was surprised to learn that breakfast was not included in the "premium" room rate. This was unexpected, as most hotels I have stayed at in the past have included breakfast as part of the premium package. Furthermore, the room did not live up to the photos on your website. The cleanliness of the room was subpar, with dust present on both common and uncommon surfaces. The woodwork in the room was chipped in multiple areas, posing a hazard to guests, especially children. I feel that I was manipulated into booking this room, as I was unable to get a refund due to booking through the app. As a frequent visitor to Barcelona, I can confidently say that I will not be staying at your hotel again. I urge you to take my feedback into consideration and make the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for your guests in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Lovely clean and modern hotel. Perfect pit stop for exploring Barcelona. Feels out of the city but only 20min on the metro to the gothic quarter. The benefit being its lovely and quiet with not much near by so you can get a good sleep. A short walk to a shopping mall with a few places to eat and the beach is also just a few minutes walk away. The hotel buffet breakfast is brilliant, lots to choose from, fresh fruit, bread and hot food. The hotel is about 50mins on the metro from the airport or approx 40 euro by taxi. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice pool up on the roof with amazing views, although didn’t use as wasn’t warm enough weather.

This hotel is amazing! The staff are so friendly especially the receptionist who welcomed us when we came in, the room was so nice and I loved the coffee machine and the pods, it was clean and spacious and had all we need. The hotel was close to bus tram and metro stops so it was easy enough to get around. We could also see the Sagrada from our room! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a really nice hotel to stay at for their time in Barcelona!

I have travelled far and wide, always staying at hotels and I can hand on heart say this Hotel is the best I have stayed in. From the moment we arrived on 01/08 the welcome was warm, friendly, genuine and we instantly felt at home, including our 3 year old daughter. The Front of House service, was nothing short of exceptional - every enquiry was dealt with efficiently, promptly and with a smile. Facilities first class, we stayed in a Junior Suite to have more space for our 3 yo and we were very impressed. Breakfast, was very healthy we were spoilt for choice with a an array of fresh fruit, juices, cereals, cheeses including a full English if you so desired. What struck me was seeing a standing real honeycomb slab, allowed to slowly drip pure honey into a bowl before. It was delicious and a first for me. Room service and Housekeeping, again excellent. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. Our Housekeeper even placed our daughters cuddly toys in a straight line on her pillow every day. That was a lovely touch. Location was perfect for us. We opted not to stay right in the centre. A huge shopping mall, Diagnol Mar, was a 10 minute walk from us which contained all top (branded) retail outlets, a food court and Supermarket. The beach was around 15 mins walking from the hotel, or 5 mins from the mall. All absolutely ideal. When we wanted the hustle and bustle we just ordered a taxi and we were in the centre within 10 minutes. Barcelona is the best European City I/we have visited. The Hotel Barcelona Condal Mar, is THE BEST hotel we’ve stayed in, bar none. We are already planning our return trip for next year and will definitely be staying here. Highly recommended. I recently stayed at Hotel Barcelona Condal Mar, attracted by its quiet location. While the area is indeed peaceful and offers a nice break from city noise, my experience was marred by a few issues. Firstly, noise from the billiards area at night disturbed my sleep. This could be improved with better soundproofing. Additionally, the rooms seem to need more thorough maintenance to match the hotel’s standards. The staff’s hospitality also fell short of expectations, lacking warmth and attentiveness. Enhancing staff training could significantly improve guest experiences.
