"The only thing that I deducted points for is the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't very good at all, a bit dirty, and the towels had a very musty smell. However, the location was very good, right on the beach. The staff provided very good service."

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel has a unique location with access to both sides of the island. You can enjoy the sunset and sunrise everyday. The beach is clean and the sea water is crystal clear. The staff service is outstanding, they took care of all details to make our stay unforgettable. We visited so many resorts in Thailand and I can say this is the best of the country.
This resort is known as the sixth heaven I can confirm it is.
YYKT MikhailGreat location, a small cozy hotel with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast; the soup was particularly enjoyable. They also offer free bicycles and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs). Direct access to two beaches is a huge plus. Even though it was off-season, we were pleasantly surprised by the weather. The sea was a bit wavy, but still swimmable. The beaches were clean, and the white sand crunched delightfully underfoot. You can even get a massage right on the beach. Act, the front desk manager, was incredibly welcoming and friendly, always ready to assist, and even saw us off to our taxi. I wish the hotel continued success. P.S. My only suggestion would be to refresh the beach towels.

CCooldayThe Samed Resorts group offers the guests a free boat shuttle service to Samed Island (even free car parking), which I find very convenient. The staff helped us loading the baggage to the boat and from the boat to the hotel. Ban Ploy sea is located right next to the pier with a few minutes walk. The check-in went smoothly. The staff was so helpful and friendly. He even offered me an upgrade room with the sea front view for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfy. At the back of the resort is a log house cafe, offering tasty cakes and fancy drinks. I feel really relaxed lying on a private beach. In the evening we were so lazy to go out, just had dinner at the hotel‘s restaurant every night. It was not cheap but everything was delicious. Overall, we are very satisfied. Highly recommended!
AAnonymous UserNice location, clean, the room is beautiful. The only problem is the walls and noise protectors is not enough, I can hear the room next to me and footsteps from outside.

GGuest UserThe staff is really helpful and will go all the way to make you feel welcome. The facilities are great. I appreciated the calm and exclusivity of the beach. I had to change my room because they gave me a twin bed ( and I'm travelling alone ) but I noticed that both the bathroom had the same issue : The sink is not as clean as you'd like to. In my first room, whenever I showered all the bathroom is flooded because of the door or maybe the whole design of the showed. That being said, I've enjoyed my stay and would've stayed longer if I could. It's frankly a good hotel, and the food is really delicious.

CChris 王墨迪Overall the hotel has certainly fallen over the past 3 years and it’s pretty sad to see this happen, if you’re a single traveler or a couple I would recommend but I couldn’t recommend the hotel to families in its current state.
Management: Great management they listen to complaints, they are responsible and try to solve all issues. Sadly the management don’t have so much to work with these days.
General staff: A large percentage of the staff are Cambodian and living in limbo with the current issues between both countries. With the exception of one or two Cambodian staff most are either depressed and miserable or damn right rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. (The floor manager explained this himself)
Rooms: Nice and simple rooms the do the job but aging fast. The rooms look good but are not high quality materials and it shows the labor and material quality is low and cheap. Showers have virtually no pressure when the hotel is busy and the water won’t reach higher than luke-warm.
Location: I have to say it’s one of the best locations on the island when considering location and facilities and I guess this is their main selling point. They have shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shop and more.
Patrons: Most of the year the majority of visitors are going to be Tha and Asian, they are respectful, they have manners and they will be great to holiday alongside. During Christmas to New Year there were too many rude Europeans especially Swedish tourists, these tourists camped and took over large areas of the bar and restaurants, they moved around furniture, they were rude and disrespectful to other tourists leaving trash noise and mess wherever they visited. (Staff and management ignored)
Note: This used to be a great hotel and I have continuously visited over the past several years. Unfortunately I have begun to see a degradation of the hotel, the attitude towards western tourists (due to poor behavior of westerners) as well as issues related to the diplomatic issues between Cambodia and Thailand. I due hope this improves in the future.
With new staff or new immigration laws as well as new investment into the hotel it could easily thrive once more.

GGuest UserWe came to spend a few days on Samed Island. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the sea and pier. We liked the layout of the cabins and the price, a cozy terrace with tables on the shore, panoramic windows, and good soundproofing with the adjacent room (a two-room cabin).
The downside is the very limited reception hours (I think it's from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). We were allowed to leave our bags, but they were lying in the sun opposite the reception desk, right on the ground. Breakfast starts late, at 9:00 a.m., so we had to look for other options. The boats are noisy during the day, but in the evening the traffic subsides, and the place becomes cozy and quiet. You can take a dip, but not swim – there are lots of rocks and sea urchins. If you walk about 100 meters further, there's a nice small beach. If you buy something from the bar, sun loungers are provided free of charge.
The WiFi is good, fresh water and a towel are left at the door, and cleaning is available upon request.
The downside is the steep steps—elderly people and children might find them difficult. Plus, the stairs to the house are in the middle of the veranda, so if you open the curtains, you'll be in full view of your neighbors.
There's a 7eleven near the pier, and from there, a small street with cafes, massages, and shops starts.
Considering the price and the benefits, we're happy with everything, thank you.
PPrimalscreamGreat family hotel if you do not spend time at the beaches on the opposite side of island. Otherwise you need a transport to get there and back. If you plan to spend time in calm and observe a bay from your balcony - that's a perfect place
Great pool, Delicious breakfast. Clean rooms.
What is missing - No Gym. Even though they have a building for that.
GGuest UserOverall, we were generally pleased with the hotel. There was no complimentary water provided upon check-in. We had to specifically ask for water for our room and were initially told to purchase it from the bar, although they eventually brought it to us free of charge. The hotel is located in a quiet area.
However, the most disappointing aspect occurred on our check-out day: after arriving in Pattaya, we discovered that our money and wallets were missing from our bag. It's still unclear how they disappeared. The hotel staff informed us they hadn't found them. We suspect someone stole them while we were on the island. Just be very cautious if you stay here.
GGuest UserLa Lune on Koh Samet... it was alright, but nothing to rave about. When we entered the room, it wasn't cleaned well – there was sand on the floor and even in the bed, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. The pool, however, was really good, but room service barely worked, and breakfast was just so-so. The beach, though, was absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space and sun loungers, so that made up for some of it. Overall: okay, but it could easily have been better. 🌴✨
