At 599 a night, it offers decent value for money. It's located by the water with a nice view. However, the rooms are a bit on the small side. Our balcony room was supposed to offer a view of an artificial waterfall, but unfortunately, it had been damaged by heavy rain.

It was really difficult getting to Gubei water town at non-business hours. I reached at 11pm, but the carpark area was abandoned. The service line was also not available. It was super cold too. Luckily, our Chinese driver helped us hail down the security guard and got hold of the tourist centre - who then sent a buggy to pick us up. The tourist center receptionist was not very friendly, if I may be honest. However, the inn's staff were really nice to pick us up at the buggy drop off area. I love the place - clean, cozy and quiet, but honestly not so much about the town itself.

Due to heavy rain, we were upgraded to Gubei Light Hotel upon check-in, which we were extremely satisfied with. Later, when an elderly family member felt unwell and we needed to rush back to Beijing, the hotel staff provided invaluable assistance, for which we are truly grateful.

Small and very Chinese style accommodation inside the Gubei Water Town village. Cozy rooms with all amenities you might need. The staff was super kind and available for every requests. Amazing!

Beautiful & quiet environment. Clean & comfortable room. Excellent service. Good breakfast...I loved the apples. 5 star service at 4 star price.

I stayed in the Inn for 2 nights as solo traveler. I super like the location of this Inn, as well as my room, facing a canal and a small stream of waterfall. The breakfast was very simple, nothing to shoutabout.

The hotel and the room is beautifuly decorated. They prepare a plate of peanuts and a plate of local fruit (i don't know its name) in the room, and also 2 kind of authentic chinese tea. Room is not big, but it's enough to rest comfortly. Location is great, not too far from Gubei entrance, and not too far to get to their central square. It is a bit far to the entrace of Simatai Greatwall tho, but the scenery along the walk is beautiful. Breakfast option not great. Mostly local food (porridge, pickles, soy milk, etc), and only have toast bread for wetern option. But hey, you are in "ancient cultural theme park", immerse with it! They also run a restaurant. A bit pricey but taste is good with a beautiful riverview backyad

The stay was wonderful. Our room with balcony was great, it looked right in front of the river when booking, however, it is in front of the river but before that there is a walkway. In the room we had peanuts, tomatoes and Chinese herbal tea as a welcome. Bed and bathroom were clean! Breakfast was also good.

The room is bigger than the pictures, and the bathroom is also quite big, not crowded. Booking a room comes with free tickets to the scenic area, which is very affordable, and you can take the shuttle bus in the scenic area for free, and it also includes two breakfasts. Compared with staying outside the scenic area, it is much more convenient and cost-effective. The room is fully equipped, and the hair dryer is a bit difficult to use.
