Hotels Near The Palace Museum in Beijing

The location is extremely good, you can walk to all the high lights of Beijing. When I found out you needed tickets for the National Museum and the Tiananmen square the lady of the front office helped me for more than an hour to get them. I am so thankful. The room is nice and cossy and clean. Next time when I will be in Beijing I will stay here for sure.

The location is great. You can go jogging or walking at the  Jingshan Park which is like five minutes away by walk. The staff is kind other they don’t really speak English, but I would say that’s the beauty of traveling as an alien. One thing that bothered me even more than all the noise coming from other rooms doors, and the clicking sound of the emergency exit door was the smell of cigarette that keeps coming into my room through a bathroom. I talked about this to the staff. He said that the whole hotel is non-smoking but still he didn’t say anything to Chinese folks smoking in the lobby. 

This hotel is strategically located between Wanfujing street and forbidden city. Walking distance to both of the attractions is a plus point. 5 mins away from metro station so going around using public transport is easy. Famous Peking duck restaurant is just beside the hotel and it is a must try if you are visiting Beijing. Hotel cleanliness is top notch. Only thing to regret for us was choosing a room without window. Even during winter times, it got quite hot and suffocating since there was no window in our room type. Hotel provided fan but that was not good enough for my hubby who likes cold. Other than that, I would highly recommend to stay here and I would stay there again if I ever visit Beijing again. Hotel provided daily fresh fruits and snacks. There is free laundry and dryers on top floor so it was very convenient for us. Oh another highlight is Taobao orders!! 😂 We can purchase anything from Taobao with hotel address and the delivery took only 1-2 days max. Reception will help you receive the deliveries. Super love it!

Good hygiene. Very close to the Forbidden City. Very suitable for backpackers traveling alone. Recommend triple room. This youth hostel has private bathroom. Auntie will come to clean at 11 o'clock every morning. Good value for money. Recommended

If you are not physically challenged and love the sight and sound of an era gone by, this is a hotel for you. The location is ideally situated near well-known Beijing attractions. Furthermore, it is next door to the Michelin-award-winning Peking Duck restaurant, Peking Chamber (or 四李民福烤鸭店). As a hotel guest, a visit to this restaurant is a ”must”, unless you are willing to forego a part of your Beijing experience. I had dinner at this restaurant on two occasions during my 6-night stay! The wi-fi is a bit weak. I was informed due to their location amidst numerous government offices, router allocation is limited. On the other hand, if you sit outside near Peking Chamber, you can easily connect to that restaurant's wi-fi. The hotel staff was helpful, particularly, Miss Zhang Xinyu, who assisted me with my laundry needs and scheduled my visit to Tiananmen Square to witness the National Flag lowering ceremony. I also like to thank Miss Li Yiran for her kind thoughts ensuring I had a memorable stay (which I did) at the hotel.

Overall, we loved our stay at this hotel and would definitely come again if back in Beijing! 1. Location is great and just short walking distance from the subway but we ended up just Didi-Ing everywhere cause due to the prime location, it’s so affordable no matter which direction we need to go. Nearby also many malls, food, shopping etc within walking distance. 2. After reading reviews, most were good and the only issue we saw ppl unhappy about is saying that the room is too hot during winter (as no aircon but heater instead). We realise that ppl are talking about the no window rooms. As such, we made it a point to book our twin room with windows. Best decision! Window was handy during half of our stay. But unfortunately we happen to come when there’s some big government meeting in the area, so the windows were closed with a screw for security reasons for the other half. Nonetheless, the concierge service was excellent and we had no problem getting a fan upon request. They provided a tower fan for us and it was more than sufficient to ventilate the room while having heater on cause of the cold weather. 3. Shoutout to the helpful and friendly staff! Even though the hotel seemed small considering it’s by a big brand, but the service was really up to standard! Special mention to Baozi who’s station at the first floor concierge who helped to answer all the touristy questions we have during our stay. And even go the extra mile to help us look for the answer on his personal device when he’s not sure. 4. Nice point to have hot porridge available at night between 6pm to 12am for folks who weren’t satisfied with dinner and need a simple supper. Just some simple condiments to go along but something hot at night sometimes is all you need. They also have a couple of fruits and drinks available all day. Not super impressive stuff but just quite thoughtful. 5. The only thing to point out is that as mentioned - the hotel is quite small, so no swimming pool, but they do have laundry and gym at the basement which we didn’t use. But love the smart system they have set up. Which you can use voice activation to control in the room, requesting for certain items also is easy process using the tablet. And when you order food delivery, they use the robot to bring it up to your room which is fast and efficient. Also, they provide bottled water daily but also have a machine you can refill from on the first floor if you need more. 6. Lastly, almost forgot to say about the room - it’s nice and spacious! So really go for the room with window as I think it’s bigger. 2 of us with large 28 inch luggage and have space to walk around even after both luggage is open big big at the sides. Bed is nice and comfy and the bigger type. Toilet also is spacious, shower area separated by glass door. Ample dry area to change after come out of shower. Amenities (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) are also good quality, feels nice and I didn’t need to take out my own to use. We also had a free minibar with our booking, simple with just 4 can drinks and couple packet of biscuits but was a pretty good touch. No issues with the daily housekeeping!

We had a great stay at JIANGUO Hidden Hotel Beijing! The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Jinyu Hutong metro station (Line 8), and the hotel is surrounded by several shopping malls, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. The hotel was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Our room had a great ventilation system and large windows that brought in lots of natural light. We were also pleasantly surprised to find mosquito nets on the windows, which is quite rare for hotels and a really thoughtful touch. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and flexible—we originally booked a smaller room, but they kindly upgraded us to a more spacious one with a bathtub. If I had known how much better the bigger room is, I would’ve definitely paid the small extra cost from the start. Totally worth it! We also appreciated the good Chinese breakfast, convenient delivery robots, and free luggage storage. All of these small touches added up to a really comfortable and smooth experience.

The hotel is everything i could ask for. I've been to Beijing numerous times already and I dont know why I just discovered this hotel. Perfect location even at night. Very close to most of the touristy spots. Clean rooms and size is big enough for 1-2 people. Receptionists were all very accommodating. You can just add their wechat to ask questions. Next time I vsit, will definitely just stay here again.

The location was really good - close to 2 metro stations (walking distance) and the Wang Fu Jin shopping area. Walking distance to multiple malls around the area - our favourite was the APM mall and the Xiyue mall! The hotel is 1 station from Tiananmen Square + Forbidden City, and 8/9 stations (I forgot) to Olympic Park/National Stadium (the Bird's Nest). But DiDi is your best friend in China, so most of the time we just use it to travel to all our destination. OH and not forgetting, lots of popular Peking Duck restaurants nearby! Popular = long queues (up to 3 hours or more) but because the hotel was very nearby we could take a queue number, go back to rest and wait OR shop around the area to kill time. The hotel itself, facilities were ok, but the toilet flushing needs to be improved. Its weak and requires multiple flush for it to actually work. Room is a little small (almost like Japan), and we booked the family room as well so it was trying to open 3 luggage. Service was 11/10 though.

Overall a nice hotel, great option if you’re travelling to Beijing. We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed everyday. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were spacious. Being connected to Joy City was a nice perk, and the transit (line 1 and line 4) was a 5 minute walk.
