"The main building was pretty good. Compared to the main building, the rooms besides the courtyard where we lived in were rather basic. Everything was good enough apart from the heating system and toilet. The floor and toilet were pretty freezing. Fortunately, the lady in the reception brought us a small heater. It did help. Also, the flush of the toilet couldn't work properly."

"Great location with few pubs around but be mindful the pubs around not serving hot food, so we ended up eating at the Indian restaurant at the hotel - which serves good food anyway The room size was good with a rather spacious shower room, just a shame the shower door seems wonky and the hot water wasn't quite working so water during shower seems cold-luke warm Average cooked breakfast"

"Staying in the barn on the third floor is the bathroom. In the middle is the room and the sofa bed downstairs. It is the next private golf course. Breakfast is a meal package. You can order it casually. The scenery has nothing to say, but the fly in the ointment is that the golf course cannot enter."

"The front desk was so helpful, especially when I realized that I had left my cell phone in the taxi. They were able to locate the taxi company and retrieve my phone and deliver it to my room. The room was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The dinner and breakfast voucher was reasonable considering dinner included an appetizer or dessert. It was honestly the best experience I had in the UK on this trip. Great value!"

"Lovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool. Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities. "
