SpringHill Suites Bend

I am tired of playing at Smith Rock. I am looking for a hotel nearby. Many of them are full on Saturday. Fortunately, this room has a room, maybe it is expensive. The rooms are large, there are some, and there is an activity area with a sofa, coffee table and desk. Refrigerators and microwaves are great. The room is soundproof and close to the lobby but I can't hear the sound outside. Breakfast is OK, hot scrambled eggs and bacon, now made of waffles, but only a small variety of fruits, only 4, and no vegetables.

Great hotel and a very attentive staff. I enjoyed my stay.. I have a lot of travel to Bend this summer.. but…. There’s 2 things that stand out to me that I dropped the rating for. The first is how great the automated texts and messages are but it can be overwhelming. I received 5 email messages and 3 text messages within 24hrs of my arrival. One including the option to bid for an upgrade. The couple texts after my stay were fine. The upgrade bidding was a bit odd to me. As someone that stays in a lot of hotels, I get upgraded quite a bit. Usually they are offered at check in if it’s available. I’m ok paying a fee sometimes but for how hands on and attentive the staff is this felt very disconnected and odd. Ok so this last one and why I put 3 stars. This will actually keep me from coming back. My room was setup and stocked with single ply toilet paper. This hotel is so nice so to see them save costs here is unacceptable. It’s very uncomfortable and didn’t fit. I was by myself. If my partner was with me shoe would have bad me go to the store to buy decent toilet paper. For a $400+ a night room, put the double ply in. Otherwise everything was great. Including the valet. Great location as well.
Residence Inn Bend

Well received, well serviced. No bacon at breakfast? Two types of 'sausage' one shaped like a hamburger. Originally conceptualised as a long stay specialist, Residence Inn seems to have pivoted to transient. Used to be a small bedroom and a Living Room/Dining separate, it has morphed into a BR and a sofa with kitchen. For one night OK but not what I expected.
TownePlace Suites Bend Near Mt. Bachelor

The front desk staff were very friendly and could understand us even if our English was not good enough. We really enjoyed our stay. The room has a small kitchen with pots and pans, making it very convenient to cook by yourself.
Cascade Lodge

Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable for 2 people. The pool was very welcome at the end of the 95-degree days. Anita's Indian food truck (right on the property!) is awesome and convenient. Anita was friendly and helpful. Delicious! The cons: A bright light above the office shines into the room all night, and the curtains are too thin to block it. You also can't turn off the bright light outside your door. Better curtains, and a valence above the curtains would really help. While the ladies who cook and clean were nice, the men who run the place were about the least friendly that we met on our entire 24-day road trip.
Days Inn by Wyndham Bend

To start with the manager, Kevin, is abrasive and grumpy. I was bit by a bed bug and killed it during the night. Could hardly sleep the rest of the night. Left at 5:30 in the morning. I told the front desk person in the morning about it and she said that they did have a problem with the room just below us being infested. Then I do the review to their hotel and Kevin emails me basically calling me a liar. He said that bed bugs don’t travel from floor to floor. Well I did some research and yes they do. They travel on the cleaners carts with the dirty sheets etc. I absolutely do not want anything from them or asked them for anything. I was just making them aware that I had been bit. This is a Wyndham property and I have now emailed corporate office about it. I’m not asking for a refund or anything. Frankly I don’t care about that, but I do become incensed when he sent me that rude email. He should have just left it alone and I wouldn’t even be writing this review. Anyways I would definitely not recommend this hotel and I would ask you to read all the other complaints I now see on here, as I wish I had done that in the first place.
