This hotel is truly amazing. Located in a Soviet style old town. I've been to former Soviet countries many times before so I know what I'm talking about! It does have that feeling of capital where the Soviet upper class lived and the communist period. The hotel is centrally located, only a 3-minute walk from Ostbahnhof (Eastern Station). The room is in a real former apartment. So everyone has a room and shares a bathroom. That's what I like because you can share things with other people without having to lock each other down. The room is very stylish. Decorated with Soviet radios, framed portraits of leaders, etc... This is definitely not a tourist trap, but definitely one of the most interesting design hotels in Berlin! This is a once in a lifetime experience for those who are open-minded and adventurous. experience. Some people complain about how there's no elevator, but that's what the old hotel was like!
