The hotel pictures display a stunning old German building with grand gardens - this is true, but it’s not where your room is. Your room is located to the rear of the hotel in a travel inn style building The rooms are clean, comfortable but not well equipped (poor washing supplements, no fridge in room, no kettle etc) - not really 4* and that’s rated against German Standards The main reason for such a poor rate is the staff service. For such a well graded hotel I would expect service. Instead we were met with rudeness and impolite service with the staff taking more time to smoke than to provide any service - including offering anything before the kitchen closed which resulted in no dessert options for a family event Breakfast was of a good standard - although the roof was leaking badly - despite 30 degree weather (confusing) Wouldn’t stay here - there are better in Wesel for a similar price and better location

Except that there is no air conditioning and the restaurant is not delicious, the rest are very good. The environment is first-rate, by the river. Cruise ship terminal. The ancient town is a short walk away and worth visiting. The room is relatively large, with bottled water and porcelain glass glasses, as well as a kettle, instant coffee. Very worth staying for a few days in a hotel, rare in Germany.

One night business in Oeding. A charming hotel, the room was easily equipped (pricely very good), clean and cozy. Breakfast is good and everything you need is there. The absolute highlight was but the dinner. We arrived at 19:00 and thought ”swiftly eat something in the hotel restaurant” and did not expect all too much. A look at the food map then immediately made curiosity. Real Vienna Schnitzel from the Münsterland Kalb and ACTUATION Sauerbraten from Cod with potato strap, bearbear bear white and maize. Sauerbrates, fish??? That was supposed to be. So once ordered snitzel and once surbrates. The snitzel was very good, but the surbrates from cod the absolute ham. Rarely eaten so genially. All harmonised extremely well. The butter for pleasant acid fish and very good potato strain was heavenly. The maizes were delicious, but I would have already had enough fish, potatoes and this magnificent beurre-blank. All of the beer served with very well-sapted beer by particularly friendly staff. I'll certainly go back soon and hope the oxybrate is still on the map. Great overall package with excellent kitchen. Thank you for it.
