Bed and Breakfast Arcobaleno

After a tiring search to locate a place to stay in Bologna that was convenient and close to the train station, we were lucky to find this gem that was a 10 minute walk to the train and about a 20 minute walk to the center. Alessandro was great in welcoming us after a 10 hour flight from the US and showed us to our spacious and comfortable room. The next morning Alessandro had an array of breakfast items ready for us in the kitchen room next door. This is was perfect stay in a quiet neighborhood away from the boisterous historic center. I would stay here again if I was in Bologna!
Elizabeth Lifestyle Hotel

The room is large, the decoration style is very comfortable, the kitchen facilities are all available, very convenient, but the curtains are too light, they are bright early in the morning You must first go to the toy store to find the boss when you check in. There is an additional 15 Euro cleaning fee and 6 Euro city tax, which is a bit dark
Savhotel

A more business type of hotel. The environment and health are good. The equipment is also relatively new. The price also includes breakfast, and it is convenient to take a bite before checking out. Still a good hotel. (The hotel offers free use of bicycles and can ride to the city)
Best Western City Hotel
4.1/541 Reviews
Booked this hotel as it is close to the train station Bologna Centrale and the city centre. The location is therefore good and set in an interesting mixed area with cheap cafes and bars nearby. There is also a large supermarket close by. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is fairly basic considering the price you are paying for the hotel. It appears that this is mainly a hotel for business clients. However the main drawback is that there is no heating in this hotel as the A/C was switched off centrally, despite the temperature in Bologna going down to 5C at night when I was there. It is therefore cold at night in the room.
Hotel Maxim

Hotel Maxim is about 10 minutes to the Bologna airport and about 15 minutes bus journey to city centre.Location very convenient, bus stop number 25 just in front of the hotel Will us direct to train station and city centre.room is small but comfort.Wi-Fi provided and is good connection.Loved the buffet breakfast, delicious and lots of dishes,Price is reasonable too. Will stay again if come to Bologna again
Hotel Il Guercino

A very nice hotel with good amenities. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was decent. Bring a hairdryer as the hairdryer supplied is ok for short hair, but not great for long hair. There was only 2 plug sockets in the room and one in the bathroom. This makes charging modern day phones, watches and other equipment very difficult. Especially if one of the plugs is located behind a cupboard. The kettle was balanced on the air con unit which isn’t ideal. A shelf would be a good idea. There aren’t any draws to put away underwear or tee shirts so be prepared to live from your case, however there is a clothes rail. The beds are made everyday and fresh towels if required. We used the spa which was lovely, although the pool probably was a clean. We will definitely return as the location is excellent, about 8 minute walk to the station.
