The room size was just right, not too big, not too small, and it had a balcony with a great view for watching the sunrise – absolutely stunning! I’ve uploaded pictures of the view at different times of the day for everyone’s reference. The transportation is incredibly convenient; there are several subway lines right downstairs to choose from, and as soon as you step out, there are all sorts of dining options. The mall is also right downstairs, making it super easy to buy anything you need! Most importantly, I love to run, and this hotel is very close to Cheonggyecheon Stream, which is a dream come true for running enthusiasts! It's a 5km one-way run, making it 10km round trip! Fantastic! The hotel breakfast was also a highlight; the fried chicken, noodles, and mixed salads were absolutely delicious! Plus, the front desk staff were very friendly. When we arrived, there was even a guide who spoke Chinese, which was very nice! I'll definitely choose this place again next time! Unforgettable Seoul, you brought me endless surprises!

【Review of Hotel Sky Myeongdong, Seoul, Korea】— A City Choice with Excellent Location but Room for Improvement

For my recent trip to Seoul, I stayed at the highly recommended Hotel Sky Myeongdong. My overall experience can be described as a mix of pros and cons, making it suitable for travelers who prioritize convenience but don't have high demands for facilities.

🌟 Location: An Unbeatable, King-Tier Advantage
The hotel's biggest highlight is definitely its location! Situated in the heart of Myeongdong, it's a 3-minute walk to Myeongdong Station (Subway Line 4) and a 5-minute walk to Lotte Duty Free Shop and Shinsegae Department Store. The surrounding area is bustling with restaurants, convenience stores, currency exchange booths, and cosmetic shops. For avid shoppers and first-time visitors to Seoul, this location is a lifesaver, allowing you to shop until 10 PM and return to the hotel without any hassle.

🏨 Room Experience: Small but Complete, Manage Your Expectations
I stayed in a standard double room, which was about 18㎡, typical of a Korean city hotel – small but fully equipped. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and soundproofing was decent (though street-facing rooms had some traffic noise). However, the facilities clearly showed their age: drainage in the bathroom was a bit slow, some power outlets had poor contact, and the air conditioning was somewhat noisy. A highlight was the window view from the upper floors, offering a scenic overlook of Myeongdong's nightscape, great for photos.

💁 Service and Facilities: Standard Business-like Approach
The front desk offered Chinese and English services, making communication smooth, but the staff's attitude was rather robotic, lacking warmth. The hotel provides a basic gym and a coin-operated self-service laundry room, suitable for long-term guests. Breakfast options were limited, mainly consisting of Korean side dishes, bread, and salads, with average taste. I'd recommend trying local breakfast spots instead.

⚠️ Minor Drawbacks: A Question of Value for Money
The weekday rate was around 150,000 Korean Won per night (approximately 800 RMB), which is a mid-range price for the Myeongdong area. However, the aging facilities diminished its value for money. Additionally, the hotel does not provide disposable toothbrushes, so you need to bring your own, and elevator wait times can be long during peak hours.

📌 Summary: Who is it for? Who is it not for?
✅ Recommended for: First-time visitors to Korea, those primarily focused on shopping, and travelers who highly prioritize location.
❌ Not recommended for: Those seeking a luxurious experience, who value spacious rooms, or are extremely light sleepers.

Overall Rating: 3.5/5
The location advantage is excellent, but if the hotel were to invest in facility renovations, the experience would improve significantly. It's a good option for a short stay, but for longer trips, it's advisable to compare with newer hotels in the area.

The room was generally clean and tidy. The front desk staff spoke Chinese, and everyone was very polite. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the nearest metro station. Also, this hotel doesn't use key cards; you have to enter a code for the elevator and to get into your room.

Excellent location and very clean .
Staff was very friendly and courteous always willing to help . Aziz at front desk very helpful .
Mr Jae-seok Yang was always eager to help as it was our ist trip to Seoul and made our stay very comfortable. We also met with Bingguo Quan and he too was very kind. These reflects kind of management Hotel Skypark provides .
Hats off to all the cleaning , breakfast and front desk staff . They all made our week very comfortable . ..
Breakfast was fresh and delicious , however ,
Some tiny daily variation would have been nicer .
WILL DEFINITELY RETURN

The location is incredibly convenient. The airport shuttle drops you off in Myeongdong, and it's just a short walk to the hotel. There's a 7-Eleven and a subway station right downstairs, making daily life super easy. The room is a bit small, but we had no problem opening both a 28-inch and a 24-inch suitcase at the same time. The window is quite small, but for a trip where you're not spending much time in the hotel, it's perfectly adequate. The bathroom space is decent, but the showerhead is over the bathtub, which can be a bit awkward when showering. Also, Korean toilet paper is really thin, but they give you a generous supply!

This hotel truly embodies the phrase, 'small but perfectly formed'! The room isn't huge; it's a bit tight if you open two suitcases. However, it's incredibly well-equipped with all the daily necessities, from a full toiletries set to a universal adapter – the attention to detail is impressive. The best part is undoubtedly its unbeatable location: step out, and you're right on Myeongdong's main street, surrounded by hustle and bustle. The subway station is just a short walk away, making both transportation and shopping super convenient. If you're looking for great value for money and plan to spend most of your day out and about, this place is definitely a top pick! 😊

This is my second stay at this hotel. It's really convenient as it's not far from my client's company. The breakfast is great, and the room is clean and comfortable. There are also many small shops around, so it's nice to explore the area if you have some free time.

Very near to industrial area where is my destination.
Hotel is located right beside Hyundai premium outlet, there is food restaurant at the third floor of outlet.

The outlet is also selling branded product with good deal.

Skypark hotel room and staff are great as well
