The hotel was very clean and quiet. The 'Zhenxuan' room was a good size, the bathroom was spotless and well-designed, and the sink was even suitable for washing clothes. Finding a good value hotel in central London is incredibly difficult, so I was really pleased to discover this place. It's close to the tube station, has a supermarket nearby, and is located in a lovely residential area. I stayed here for a few days of sightseeing and ended up extending my stay.

I had to escape my previous booking because the other hotel didn't have air conditioning, and at 37 degrees Celsius, I had to quickly search for a new hotel with AC. The transportation here is pretty good; it's a 10-minute walk to several tube stations, and you can take the Elizabeth Line directly to Heathrow. Plus, buses can take you to Regent Street and Hyde Park. There's a large M&S supermarket nearby, as well as Asian food options like Vietnamese and Japanese ramen. Shoreditch, with its many trendy brands, is also within walking distance, making it great for shopping. On my last day, I forgot my passport in the safety deposit box, and the hotel manager helped me retrieve it. It was a bit of a hassle because the next guest wasn't cooperative, and it took the manager an hour to sort it out. I'm very grateful as I still managed to catch my flight.

Dear Indigo London Chinatown Management / Trip.com Support,

My name is Brian, and I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding the conduct of your Receptionist, Sabrine, during my recent stay.

I want to be clear that I genuinely enjoyed the hotel itself. I stayed for two nights after my arrival and was fully planning to return next week for an additional week-long stay. However, because of this incident and the way it was handled, I have decided not to proceed with any further bookings.

On the morning of checkout, Receptionist, Sabrine, came to my door at 11:00 AM and mentioned a £40 late checkout charge. I clearly told her she could come in to explain properly, but she did not. Instead, she expected me to simply accept and understand this charge without clear communication.

At no point was the £40 late checkout fee clearly explained to me in advance. Guests should never be confronted with additional charges without transparent explanation either prior to their stay or clearly and professionally at the time. Neither occurred in this situation.

Additionally, I was informed that there was no luggage storage space available. However, when I checked personally, there appeared to be available space. The explanation provided was inconsistent and did not demonstrate a genuine willingness to assist.

This situation reflects a serious failure in customer service standards. Clear communication, transparency, and professionalism are fundamental expectations in hospitality. As a direct result of this experience, the hotel has lost a returning guest who was prepared to extend his stay significantly.

I expect this matter to be reviewed seriously and addressed appropriately.

Sincerely,
Brian

Very close to Paddington train station with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel was nice, staff very friendly, and the breakfast was good.

We booked two rooms from July 16-20 and 18-20, 2026. On the evening of the 17th-18th, when we returned to the hotel, our rooms hadn't been cleaned. On the 19th, before heading out, I informed the male receptionist with silver hair to please clean our rooms. He replied that he couldn't and would only be able to do it after 4 PM. On check-out day, I forgot my tablet and power bank at the hotel. I called back, and the same male staff member said he would check for me and asked me to call back in 10 minutes. While I was on the train heading back to the hotel, I tried calling again, but no one answered. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the counter. I went to the kitchen to ask them to call a receptionist. The silver-haired male staff member then told me he had checked and there was nothing in the room I had just checked out of, and then he walked away. Later, a female receptionist with black hair came out after checking in another guest. I explained the situation to her, and she called to inquire for me. She said the person on the line reported there was nothing. I then showed her that I had tracked it, and it was still at the hotel. I intended to file a police report if I didn't get it back. The female staff then told the person on the line that the customer had shown proof that the tablet was still at the hotel. After that, I finally received my tablet and power bank back. Hotel staff should be service-minded and honest.

First of all, the hotel reception is really nice. Everyone is very warm and friendly. I feel full of love. The room is very large and clean, with a palace-style bed, I love it. Mineral water is available every day, and snacks are also free to eat, which is charged in other hotels... The location is even better, 3/5 minutes walk to Tower Bridge, double subway, and 8/9 minutes walk to Liverpool Street Station... Liverpool Street Station is convenient to major airports... In short, it is a very good experience, and a must-choose hotel next time you come to London

Fantastic! Super clean and the view is pretty good too. The entrance on the ground floor was a bit small and under renovation. There was one overweight Asian woman at the front desk who had a terrible attitude, acting like she looked down on Chinese people and favored foreigners. The hotel itself is great though! All the other front desk staff were excellent!

Conveniently located near Wall Street with easy subway access. There's a great Danish healthy fast food restaurant nearby called Joe and the Juice, definitely worth checking out. You'll also find a pizza place, street-side taco trucks, and ice cream trucks. The hotel is very clean and has good soundproofing. Like most hotels, there's no hot water in the room, but the lobby offers refreshing lemonade and luggage storage, which is a nice touch.

So glad I booked this hotel! The only downside is the price, but seriously, that's it! It's super close to everything – the New York Stock Exchange and the 9/11 Memorial are both within a 5-minute walk, and the subway is literally right downstairs, making it incredibly easy to get anywhere. There are also plenty of supermarkets nearby. They offer complimentary bottled water, but remember to ask for it at check-in, as they don't automatically offer it.

Location is very central, staff nice enough and with service charge of $36 you can have a free breakfast ans a drink a day…but not if u are vegan!!

To be fair for the price range I was expecting something a bit more up class .

The location is convenient, the surrounding restaurants are also very convenient, and the hygiene is average

Every year, we celebrate our wedding anniversary by staying at the Hotel Indigo. We love the atmosphere here, and it's so convenient for getting around. Each time we've visited, we've received a complimentary room upgrade, and the river view from the room is absolutely stunning. My old home was just across the street, so I used to frequent this place for afternoon tea and steak at Char. That's why I have such a soft spot for it!

The room size is actually quite good for the price in Shanghai. The location is very convenient, just a few kilometers from the Natural History Museum, Wukang Road, and Taikoo Hui. The bed is comfortable, and it's generally quiet. I plan to stay here again, but I really have to complain about two things, and I hope the hotel can see this and make adjustments.

1. The breakfast is simply terrible!!! I've never had such a bad hotel breakfast. Even if it's included in the room rate, it shouldn't be this bad! (I heard it costs 198 RMB per person if purchased separately, but it's not about the price, it's about the poor quality!) The meat sauce for the noodles was reheated from the same pot for several days; the yogurt wasn't individually packaged, it was all cheap bulk-sized; the bread and small cakes weren't freshly baked, they were all cold and pre-made; and the cold cuts and cheese were even worse! It doesn't resemble a hotel breakfast at all, which is a shame given the hotel's hardware and environment! (Why did I eat this awful breakfast for three days? Because I was in a hurry every day, and finding a place outside would take time. From the second day on, I just ate a bowl of noodles and an egg!)

2. The blinds near the bathtub in the room let light through at night. On the second night, I asked housekeeping for a curtain to block it. This design is really unreasonable. Also, the bar counter above the minibar in the room is too easy to bump your head on. Please, make the breakfast better.

This isn't my first time visiting Dishui Lake in Lingang. I chose the Indigo this National Day because it's a new hotel, opened in 2025, so I expected all the facilities to be new and well-maintained. Since I was traveling with two young children, I opted for the family room. What really attracted me to this room was the three beds: a regular double bed and a bunk bed, which is perfect for families with multiple kids. The room also has two toilets and one shower, but I guess because it’s only about 50 square meters, there’s no bathtub. As it’s a family room, in addition to the standard amenities, there’s a giant hotel mascot plush toy (both kids loved it! 😘), a small tent, and a little ride-on car. There are also three beanbag chairs next to a low table (it’s especially comfy to put the beanbags on the balcony and relax when the weather is nice). These features definitely appeal to kids, but having all these items packed into 50 square meters does make the room feel quite cramped.

The hotel doesn't have a dedicated kids’ play area, but during National Day, they organized a graffiti activity in the lobby, which helped keep the kids entertained. On the second floor, there’s a children’s pool, 0.6 meters deep, completely separate from the adult pool. My two kids had a blast in the pool even on a rainy day. The hotel is also conveniently located next to a shopping complex and Dishui Lake; it’s just a 2-minute walk to the lakeside. The hotel staff were very friendly and plentiful, generally responding to our needs promptly. These are the positives of the family room at this hotel.

Now, I’d like to mention a few areas I think could be improved. Firstly, I have to talk about the strangely placed TV in the family room. It seems they ran out of space, so the TV is placed upright right by the bathroom entrance. The bottom edge of the TV is about 1 meter high, which is quite dangerous for young children running around, as they could easily bump their heads if not careful. And since it's fixed to the ground, it can't be moved. I genuinely suggest that if space is an issue, they could replace it with a projector screen or even remove the TV altogether; I think parents would understand (considering the safety of their children). The second point I think could be improved is the toilet near the entrance. I was pleasantly surprised to find two toilets in the room, as it’s definitely more convenient for families with kids. However, if they installed a toilet there, why not add a sink? My youngest is under one, and the tea station is right by the entrance. It would be so much more convenient to prepare formula and wash baby bottles right there. But because there’s no sink in that toilet, I had to walk across the entire room to the main bathroom to wash things, which was quite inconvenient. Compared to the first two points, the third is a minor issue. The bottom bunk of the bunk bed initially had a patterned sheet, but as soon as the kids lay down, we realized the sheet was too small. It couldn't tuck under the mattress on all four sides, so it was only for show; as soon as you lay on it, the sheet would bunch up. We ended up having to ask the staff to change it to a standard white sheet like on the double bed. These are all my thoughts on this hotel stay.
