On the day of check-in, due to a luggage delay, our original 2 AM check-in became past 6 AM. Upon arrival, the hotel thoughtfully extended our check-out time to 3 PM, allowing us to get a good sleep and freshen up. The environment and hygiene were excellent, as expected from a five-star hotel. They also offer a shuttle service to nearby shopping centers. It's a perfect choice for those in transit who don't want any hassle.

Lovely stay yet again. However, on arrival we couldn’t have a drink or anything from the main buffet, just the complimentary one on floor one where the breakfast was not great at all. Even though there was only 20 mins left and all that buffet food would have been wasted- sounds bizarre to me but the manager wouldn’t budge. Later another manager apologised to me about it when I told her. It was my cousins birthday and she simply wanted a coffee and some fruit. Not great when I recommended to stay here. Otherwise was good and bbq night on Fridays is Amazing which we paid for. Lovely amenities but service to work on if want to be in as high regard as Jumeirah and like hotels. Walk from sun bed to beach is long but beach is nice. They will not upgrade you so pay for sea view.

Our family had an unforgettable stay from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the check-in, concierge service, and hotel staff were all superb. Truly a 10/10! They were incredibly attentive, responsive, always smiling, and genuinely caring. A special shout-out to Alex, Shivani, Jamshir, Jampesh, and Amine from Latest Recip, who were incredibly kind to our baby Imran.

As a swimming enthusiast, I booked this hotel mainly for its multiple pools. I was satisfied with all the other facilities, except for one critical issue that makes me urge others to be cautious before booking:

The room was so incredibly damp that not only was there condensation all over the balcony glass, but the room floor was also covered in water. The more the air conditioning ran, the more water appeared. All the clothes in my suitcase became damp, and the tea bags looked like they'd been soaked and stained. The new towels I brought molded after just a few days, and the duvet was also wet. The wet floor also posed a slip hazard, which is just absurd.

Furthermore, there were multiple stains on the bed sheets.

Reading other reviews made me a bit nervous at first, but after checking in, I found it to be absolutely wonderful. The hotel was very clean, and the Thai-style gardens and pool were fantastic. Plus, the hotel is right on the beach – just a short walk from our room, which was incredibly convenient. My child loved it so much they didn't want to leave!

The only downside is that there's nothing much outside the hotel; it's a bit isolated. So, if you're looking for a relaxing hotel stay with family fun, this place is perfect. There are a few restaurants by the sea, and the prices are quite reasonable. It's really great! I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

Having been a fan of Le Meridien since the Starwood era, I've always had a soft spot for the brand. For my solo trip to Qingdao, I chose the Le Meridien Qingdao. I'd seen various reviews and pictures online beforehand, so I was prepared for the hotel's facilities. It's true that in today's market, older five-star hotels that don't keep up can face significant challenges. However, the human element of service truly shines here. As a benchmark in the service and hospitality industry, every staff member I encountered made a great impression. The concierge asked if I needed a carry bag when I checked my luggage. When I declined housekeeping for the next day and requested a bottle of water, the attendant gave me four (though the Purejoy brand water provided by the hotel wasn't the best). The restaurant quality was just okay, especially the buffet which could benefit from a price increase and improved quality. That said, the wontons at breakfast were delicious! The absolute highlight was Luna. She provided attentive service throughout my three-day, two-night stay, arranging fruit upon check-in, checking in with me the next day, and even following up after I checked out. It felt like a personalized butler service. While there were a few minor imperfections, the perfect score is entirely for Luna's exceptional service.

Traveling for the May Day holiday, the hotel called in advance to ask about our needs. The front desk, Amy Li Tong, prepared our room for us ahead of time. The hotel also provided sand-digging tools for the kids, which was very convenient and made our May Day trip much more relaxed and enjoyable. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the city center and attractions, and there aren't many dining options nearby. It takes about an hour by taxi to places like May Fourth Square, Zhanqiao Pier, and the Beer Museum. However, for a pure beach vacation, it's a great choice. The breakfast was a bit monotonous, with too few options. We chose this hotel because we were traveling with a child, and the kid was so happy they didn't want to leave! 😊 The room rates during the holiday fluctuated too much, making it not very good value for money.
