On the day of check-in, due to a luggage delay, our original 2 AM check-in became past 6 AM. Upon arrival, the hotel thoughtfully extended our check-out time to 3 PM, allowing us to get a good sleep and freshen up. The environment and hygiene were excellent, as expected from a five-star hotel. They also offer a shuttle service to nearby shopping centers. It's a perfect choice for those in transit who don't want any hassle.

Lovely stay yet again. However, on arrival we couldn’t have a drink or anything from the main buffet, just the complimentary one on floor one where the breakfast was not great at all. Even though there was only 20 mins left and all that buffet food would have been wasted- sounds bizarre to me but the manager wouldn’t budge. Later another manager apologised to me about it when I told her. It was my cousins birthday and she simply wanted a coffee and some fruit. Not great when I recommended to stay here. Otherwise was good and bbq night on Fridays is Amazing which we paid for. Lovely amenities but service to work on if want to be in as high regard as Jumeirah and like hotels. Walk from sun bed to beach is long but beach is nice. They will not upgrade you so pay for sea view.

Our family had an unforgettable stay from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the check-in, concierge service, and hotel staff were all superb. Truly a 10/10! They were incredibly attentive, responsive, always smiling, and genuinely caring. A special shout-out to Alex, Shivani, Jamshir, Jampesh, and Amine from Latest Recip, who were incredibly kind to our baby Imran.

The lady at the front desk upgraded me to an executive suite for free, which was a huge room and far exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety, and you could DIY your eggs and noodles.

We extended our stay by another day, and I'd like to thank Wang Yuchen at the front desk for upgrading us to an executive suite for free again!

If I ever come back to Qingdao, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.

Coming from Shanghai to celebrate my birthday in Qingdao, I chose Le Méridien because I'm a fan of the Marriott brand.

1. The location is excellent, right on the beach. You can walk straight from the hotel lobby to the sand. The beach isn't too crowded, making it perfect for a vacation. You can also order food delivery, and there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. Of course, the hotel also has good restaurants.

2. The facilities are comprehensive. When choosing a resort hotel, my goal is to fully immerse myself in the hotel experience. Sometimes I also need to work. First, regarding the hotel amenities: there are diverse dining options, not just one. There are many public areas with different designs where you can relax. The lobby has a coffee bar, and for exercise, there's a gym with a full range of weightlifting equipment. There are both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There's also a shower area before entering the hotel from the beach. As for the room, there's a desk near the balcony with plenty of outlets, good lighting, and a comfortable chair. Working while listening to the sound of the waves is incredibly pleasant. The room also features a large, circular sofa that's perfect for lounging, watching videos, or reading magazines. The best part is that this round lounge area is modular, so it can be arranged into various shapes, enhancing the comfort experience (it would be even better with two throw pillows). The wardrobe, drawers, and various types of hangers are all well-equipped, and the drawers are spotless, ensuring every item in your luggage has its designated place. There are even thoughtful details like hooks for hanging bathrobes. While these are basic amenities for a Marriott resort, many other resort hotels don't match Marriott's attention to detail.

3. The ambiance is wonderful. For example, from the basement to the lobby, and outside the lobby, there are rocking chairs. In the basement, there's a regal-looking long bench, both perfect for photoshoots, quiet contemplation, and comfort. Behind the lobby coffee bar, there's also a beautiful glass private room, ideal for a get-together with girlfriends! My favorite feeling is walking from the car into the bright yet soft lobby, seeing the azure sea through the floor-to-ceiling windows, making you feel like you've chosen the perfect way to start your vacation! No wonder the Marriott brand is more favored by women!

4. The service is excellent. From the concierge to the front desk, I felt seen and respected. During check-in, they considered my needs and upgraded my floor whenever possible. Knowing it was my birthday, they even offered complimentary mini-bar items and fruit. Although I didn't use any of these by check-out, it was a very thoughtful gesture. The concierge actively helped with luggage, opened and closed car doors, and greeted me with a smile. These instances of being seen are what define great service for us!

5. Dining: I had both breakfast and dinner at the buffet restaurant. I'm very grateful for the dining discount voucher the front desk provided during check-in, which encouraged me to dine at the hotel. The island stations had different focuses, offering everything you could want. I especially loved the large, freshly-wrapped pan-fried dumplings for breakfast – they were huge and delicious! The sunny-side-up eggs were presented individually, which I appreciated. The dining environment was also very good, with ample spacing between tables, ensuring both comfort and privacy.

6. Cons: My biggest complaint is with the Western restaurant. Compared to other departments I interacted with (including the gym), the service staff in the Western restaurant were the least welcoming. Indifference is my direct feeling. The chefs grilling lamb skewers and frying potstickers were the only ones who showed initiative and a welcoming attitude. The contrast made it stand out even more.

In conclusion, Le Méridien Qingdao West Coast Resort + the sea is a perfect combination! The hotel boasts an excellent location, convenient transportation, and rooms with great views that are clean and comfortable. A definite thumbs-up! Housekeeper Rena Wang Rujuan provided warm and meticulous service, answering all our questions throughout our stay – very reliable and an amazing experience!

I would definitely return if the price is right next time! Keep up the great work, Marriott!

Let me start with the most important thing: this is a hotel you'll definitely want to visit again if you come once – it's perfect for families with kids! Highly, highly, highly recommend! We had a great time.

This hotel is located at the foot of a mountain, about a 1.5-hour drive from the city. It's quite close to the subway station, only 3km away, and there are many other attractions nearby, such as Maya Water Park and Happy Valley. Parking is free. Bob provided great service, sending us hotel activity information and the free parking code in advance. There were a lot of guests checking in that day, so parking was a bit tight. The room was spacious. This is an older hotel, about twenty-something years old, but it has been renovated.

Facilities: Everything is well-equipped, both the hotel and the pool are great. A branded five-star hotel definitely gives you peace of mind, with basically everything you need readily available.

Hygiene: Clean and odorless, no dampness in the room, even the bathtub was spotless. My kid had a blast taking a bath.

Environment: The lobby is spacious and grand, and the rooms inside are cozy and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located near Baolong Plaza and Qibao Ancient Town. Minhang Cultural Park is about 800 meters away, and there's also an art museum and a subway station nearby. It's an incredibly convenient location, perfect for combining sightseeing and accommodation, making it our top choice for a family trip with kids.

Service: Whether it was the front desk staff or even the housekeeping staff we met in the hallway, everyone was proactive, smiling, greeting us, and asking if we needed anything. Our butler service was also very nice. I'd like to recommend our lovely butler, Ms. 'Summer' (her staff ID is in the picture). She was very responsive to all our requests, no need to call the front desk first.

Before we left, the hotel even gave a small gift to our child and reminded us that if we drove, we could register at the front desk for parking exit. They always prioritize the guests' thoughts and needs. This was a fantastic stay.
