TPoor & Discriminatory Shuttle Service – Avoid Relying on It!
Terrible experience with Meliá Madrid Barajas free shuttle on 11 Feb 2026.
Driver ignored T1 stop outbound (only Spanish announcement), forced us to T4 unnecessarily.
Evening return at T1: Showed room key, bus had plenty empty seats, but driver refused us & told to go T4. Airline crew boarded no problem. Stuck in pouring rain → paid outrageous €22 taxi.
Complained to front desk – no response or apology after weeks.
Website says shuttle stops at T1/T2/T4, but drivers decide otherwise. Felt unwelcome & discriminated against. Extremely disappointing for a 4-star airport hotel. Urge management to fix policies, train staff properly, and respond to complaints.
Do NOT depend on this shuttle!

Excellent service from reception to the cleaning staff and airport transfer arrangements. We loved it, we'll definitely be back.

The breakfast was really good and location, sadly the hotel is a bit tired. The room ok ( although the floor uneven) the beds were terrible, I had to sleep on the floor because we have arrived very late and we thought all the beds were the same so what was the point of saying anything. In fact in Reception we were told they were but we found out the day after it was not the case.One of the beds was with a small curve on the mattress and the other one the spring would stick on your body

Rooms are quite small when compared to the price, but staff are super friendly. Breakfast is just definitely not worth the money at all. Hotel is pretty OK all around, food for business trips.

Breakfast is very good! The room is clean! The hotel's own restaurant is also delicious! recommend!

Hotel facilities including rooms were not great.
The breakfast buffet menu was the same during the stay (3 nights).
There was no free bottled water provided during the stay, and the bottled water provided in the minibar in the room was charged (3.9 euros), but there was no price information.

The location of the hotel is very good, with many restaurants and 5 minutes from the Royal Palace of Madrid. The alley behind looks like Chinatown, with Chinese supermarkets and restaurants. The service was also good. I had breakfast for four days. My children loved the Turros Spanish churros.

Spain's business trip, the whole process is very comfortable and flawless, except for a long flight, after staying at the Phoenix hotel, it is very relaxing and comfortable.

The hotel is located at the intersection of Gran Vía and Plaza de España in the center of Madrid. The transportation is convenient. The bus station and tourist bus distribution center are relatively concentrated near the subway station. , No extra bed, you can live with children, parking lot is paid to park on the roads on both sides of the hotel entrance.

The room and service are very good, the view outside the window is very good. The location is very good. Everyone is very satisfied with this reservation, the breakfast is also rich, and it is convenient to go anywhere.

We stayed in Melia Dunas with my 5-year-old daughter and we had a very nice holiday.
We were welcomed at the arrival, and after check-in we were allowed to use all the facilities of the resort immediately. Unfortunately, there was a mistake in check-in, which allowed us to check in our apartment only around 16:30, rather than before.
The apartment was spacious, clean and was cleaned every day. The resort itself is beautiful, large and well maintained. There are several swimming pools, which makes you never have to get up early to book a bed.
The food was varied and there was enough choice for everyone. There are six restaurants, of which four à la carte restaurants you have to book in advance. We have had a nice dinner here.
The only point I found was the kids club, and the staff should be a little more friendly and enthusiastic. No greeting or proposal was made and little contact was sought with children to involve them in the activities.
Daily, there was entertainment at the pool for young and old, such as dance activities and games, and every evening there were fun themes and shows, which provided a pleasant atmosphere.
Despite the small point of arrival and the kids club, we enjoyed our stay enormously, and the resort offers everything for a relaxing holiday for both families and couples. We made good memories and certainly come back!

Отель неплохой, но горячий чай на обеде и ужине можно взять только в баре, а в самом буфете на шведском столе нельзя и заказать у официантов нельзя. Да и в целом разнообразия еды недостаточно, хотя из того, что есть - все вкусно. Ходишь там кругами и не знаешь что такого положить, чтобы и вкусно и полезно и не однообразно и в итоге полупустая тарелка. 

Зато тут классный пляж! Много бассейнов! Классная анимация! Вечерние мероприятия!

El resort esta bien. No diría que es de 5 estrellas porque las instalaciones están un poco viejas. Pero calidad/precio esta bien

Such wonderful memories! The hotel's design is fantastic! It's a shame I only stayed for three days and had planned activities every day, so I didn't upgrade to The Level. Next time, I'd love to upgrade and just relax at the hotel. Overall, the service and facilities were excellent! 👍🏻

This was a quick trip but the hotel was very nice inside. The room was great for and us and very comfortable with great views over the harbour. There was construction works happening on the outside (front) but that didn’t really matter to us as we were only there for the weekend. The pool was a nice temperature on a hot day and although we couldn’t get a sunbed (arrived at the pool around lunch time) we had a lovely breakfast and the ice cold beer definitely helped us to relax. 

The nightlife around the hotel can be a little loud due to the number of sports/Irish bars near by and it made the walk home from the city interesting. However the atmosphere was good and we didn’t mind at all. If you had kids then it could be a little intimidating I would think.

We also checked in very late (after midnight) which wasn’t a problem at all and we got our room straight away

Overall we’d definitely consider staying here again.

It is a hotel converted from a private residence. In an alley in the city center, take a break from the noise. The service staff is very enthusiastic. There is a small roof, surrounded by houses, can't see the scenery, and of course I can't see the sea. The room is too small, the corridor is small, the elevator, lobby, and restaurant are small. There are few varieties of breakfast. The drying rack is very good, and the wet clothes are dried in an hour. The USB interface has 4 ports, 2 sockets, plus boiling water and 2 sockets for the computer can also be plugged in, and there are 4 sockets. There is a free spa, not going. In general, there is a large distance from the usual five-star standard.
