This is a 4-star hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, and they offer a free shuttle bus to and from the station. The shuttle picks up on the left side when you exit the *Karasuma Central Exit* (条口) of Kyoto Station. There isn't much to explore around the hotel itself, and very few restaurants. If you plan on taking the train or eating out, it's best to head to Kyoto Station. Kyoto Station is large and beautiful, a tourist attraction in itself, and even has a big Isetan department store!

The breakfast restaurant on the 14th floor is a revolving restaurant with panoramic views of Kyoto. However, the Western set breakfast is quite mediocre. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor offers both Japanese and Western options, but the value for money isn't great. In terms of transportation, besides taking the train from Kyoto Station, you can also catch a bus nearby. It's a bit far from the livelier areas of Sanjo and Shijo, making it suitable for guests who prefer a quiet stay and want to be close to Kyoto Station.

The hotel's location is pretty good, on the north side of the JR station. It's not as bustling as the south side, but it's very close to the bus stop. You can also easily catch buses to various attractions.

As is typical for Japanese hotels, the room and the bathroom with its separate toilet, sink, and shower are on the small side.

The housekeeping is excellent, and the breakfast is quite good. They also have a public bath. Plus, there's a lovely lady at the front desk who speaks Chinese. The service is top-notch.

The hotel is quite new, and check-in was smooth. The two beds were pushed together. There's free coffee on the first floor. The only downside is that it's located in a small alley, which can be a bit challenging with large luggage. It's about a 6-minute walk from Shijo Station, Exit A (with an escalator).

The room was small! But the lobby was incredibly grand, like a relic from the昭和 era, truly aristocratic! The check-in staff provided classic Japanese service – warm and polite!

It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, but if you're taking the bus, it's super convenient because the bus stop is right in front of the hotel!

My favorite feature was the radio by the bed in the room. The night I checked in, I tuned into a random station that was playing old Japanese songs, and every single one was so good. Listening to those Japanese songs while showering and packing made me feel like I'd traveled back to the昭和 period.

The Rihga Royal Hotel in Tokyo was a great place to stay. Both the hotel and the room were clean, tidy, and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and service-oriented, always ready to help. The location is in a quiet area, yet still close to public transportation, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Shiba Park and incredibly close to Tokyo Tower – just a short walk away. The room, though small, was clean, comfortable, and very convenient for transport. The service was genuinely reliable, honest, and thoughtful. Especially impressive was how the hotel staff carefully kept and fully returned the three New Year's red envelopes I had left under the pillow. Even though it was only a few thousand RMB, it was a New Year's gift for my daughter and represented the ritual of the holiday, so losing it would have been incredibly upsetting. This level of reliability, honesty, and attentiveness is rarer and more valuable than any beautiful view. When I go to Tokyo again, this hotel will definitely be my first choice for peace of mind!

Spotless, Brand New, and Perfect for Shoppers!
ANCHORED by RIHGA is exceptionally clean, brand new, and features excellent overall amenities and top-notch toilet facilities. A massive, unexpected highlight is the professional vacuum-packing machine in the laundry area, which is an absolute lifesaver for flattening clothes and bulky purchases to save luggage space. The only minor drawback is that the elevators can be quite slow, but otherwise, it’s a fantastic, highly recommended place to stay near Ebisucho.

I've stayed here twice now and both experiences were great. This time, they even had self-check-in, which was super convenient and quick. The location is also fantastic; there's a direct bus to the Dome, making it really easy to catch a show.
