The hotel I booked when I came to Nagano to run the marathon was right next to the JR station. It was half the price of other hotels in the same location at the same time. What else do you need a bicycle for? The hotel is a bit old. It has everything you need. You need a key to open the door, no door card. Is it old enough? One thing I must point out is that the 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit Nagano just when I arrived that day. The building shook for a long time, but it was fine! Don't worry about staying here!

The room is ok, the service is ok, and the health is ok.
There are two small problems. First, breakfast is too simple, not even eggs, milk, pickles, etc. Second, many switches in the room are broken and maintenance should be strengthened.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this place offers a complimentary dinner! The menu included pork curry rice or pork curry udon—both delicious options. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable.

The room came fully stocked with all the necessary amenities, including a traditional Japanese-style pajama set, which was a nice touch. There's a shared hot bath available for men only, open from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM the next day—perfect for relaxing after a long day.

They also offer a Japanese-style breakfast buffet, which had a great variety and tasted amazing.

Additional conveniences include free parking, as well as vending machines with drinks, snacks, and beer. There's also a coin-operated washer and dryer, which came in handy during the trip.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and thoughtful stay!

Good location with lots of buses, there is an ATM in the convenience store next door which is useful. The building is very old and the furnishings could definitely be replaced. There is no air conditioning, the hotel sets the temperature and you choose how much to open the vent. Unfortunately the seal on the window in my room was broken so I was very cold and there was a lot of road noise. The bed was comfortable but the lights in my room would flicker and overall I think the appliances need to be replaced. I appreciated the curry and rice but even the doors don’t automatically lock and I was a bit scared as I was a woman staying alone. It’s okay for the price but I think if they replaced the furnishings it would look a lot better.
