Last night, a few of us were in Beijing for a business meeting and booked this hotel late after working until midnight. Before reserving, I called to ask if a free upgrade was possible if I booked the basic room type. The staff member who answered told me an upgrade wasn't possible. Honestly, they could have just said it depends on room availability, and I would have completely understood if it wasn't possible due to how busy they were, as you get what you pay for. When checking in, the front desk staff were actually very nice and did give me an upgrade. However, their front desk operations definitely lacked proficiency. When I asked which rooms had better views or other options, they seemed completely clueless. The two female staff members were very unfamiliar with their duties, including assigning me a room with an unlucky number without asking beforehand if I was okay with it. As a five-star hotel, situational service should be your standard, not assuming guests will accept anything. You should definitely ask guests if they need a quiet room or have other preferences, instead of just taking my reservation number and ID, recording the information, and sending me off. To be honest, with all these little things combined, my mood was terrible. The next day, I called directly and spoke to the duty manager, Wang Yuqi. I'm very pleased with how professionally and quickly he handled things, and that he immediately understood my frustration. I might have cursed a little during our conversation, but he still smiled and calmed me down. He even came to find me in the restaurant while I was having breakfast after checking out, and recommended fun places and good food in Beijing. He truly handled the situation with maturity, stability, and professionalism. Overall, the hotel is actually very new and nice, with no major issues, just a few minor things. After all, new hotels need time to settle in, and all departments need time to adapt. But I believe with employees like Wang Yuqi, your hotel will only get better and business will flourish. I hope next time we visit, you'll be an even better hotel ❤️ Thank you, Wang Yuqi ❤️ Training managers like him will also help your basic staff improve ❤️

The hotel experience was fantastic, and overall it was great value for money. The room was spacious and clean, and I really liked the decor; it was very comfortable to stay in. They even provided complimentary fruit upon check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted great. The hotel environment is good, the service is excellent, and it's convenient for going out and shopping. Overall, it offers high value for money. I will definitely choose this place again next time I visit Beijing, highly recommended.

Wanda Hotel Pinggu Beijing is a pleasant surprise and offers excellent value for money. The hotel appears to be nicely renovated, with modern, good-looking décor that gives the spaces a fresh and comfortable feel. Both the rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained, making for a relaxing stay.

Although Pinggu is not in central Beijing, getting around is convenient. Attractions and amenities can be reached by cab, and taxi fares are reasonable, making transportation hassle-free.

Overall, this hotel is a good choice for travellers looking for a clean, well-designed hotel at a good price point. Comfortable stay, attractive interiors, and good accessibility make it a worthwhile option in Pinggu.

The room was very spacious, the two-bedroom suite was quite roomy, and having two bathrooms was a definite plus. The Jinhua Suite's location is excellent, close to everything. Before our arrival, our butler, Haha, already connected with us on WeChat, keeping us updated on scenic area information and daily weather. They were very responsive to our needs, which made our stay very enjoyable. The Wanda benefits were great and the kids loved them. It was perfect for taking photos on sunny days, making it ideal for a vacation. Wanda also provides shuttle service to the Changbai Mountain scenic area, and we were lucky enough to see Changbai Mountain! The suite is suitable for larger groups. If you prioritize amenities, Jinhua Resort might be a better fit. While suite guests can also use the amenities, it's a bit inconvenient to walk there. If that doesn't bother you, the suite is a very cost-effective choice.

The location is central, but using the back entrance makes everything easily accessible, and it's not right on the food street, so it feels very quiet. Taking the back exit near the lollipops in the hotel lobby, and then the path in front of the big lawn, is even closer and more convenient. The overall service was excellent; every guest gets a hotel assistant. Our assistant, 7-Up, sent messages beforehand with reminders, weather forecasts, and patiently answered all our questions. We booked a deluxe twin room and got one with a mountain view. From the room, you could see the lawn, cable car, etc., offering great views. Food: Breakfast was a standard hotel buffet. The dinner buffet had grilled skewers, hot pots, and other decent options.

Resort-wide benefits: They included access to the slide, cable car, water park, hot springs, and more. Everything was great, except for the long wait times for the slide.

The hotel facilities are quite old, but they are clean, which is a plus. Overall, it was a good experience.

Very good and helpful staff.
I request for a birthday decorations for my kid birthday and they made it!
Only the bad is, very limited selection breakfast buffet ( they call it ala cart, is like order from the menu only) and small places for breakfast.
And can smell people smoking around hotel, and some loud noise from the Chinese traveller.
Gym is only limited equipment.
Overall is a pleasant stay and view/location
