My family and I stayed at the Wanda Jin Hotel in Tongzhou, Beijing, this week, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations – I have to give it a big thumbs up!

The hotel exterior is grand and stylish. The lobby, themed around the sails on the Grand Canal, is elegantly decorated. As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is instantly captivating, and the fragrance is very pleasant. The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Wanshengxi subway station. It's only a few stops to Universal Studios, and there are plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby, making travel and dining incredibly convenient.

The front desk service was professional and friendly. Check-in was quick, and they patiently and thoroughly answered all our questions. The room was spacious and airy, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering a great view. The entire room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and plush, and the soundproofing was surprisingly excellent – once the door was closed, you couldn't hear any outside noise, allowing for a full night's peaceful sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the complimentary toiletries were high-quality. Hot water was stable and abundant.

Hotel amenities are comprehensive. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, with hot dishes, noodles, pastries, and fruits all available. The heated swimming pool, gym, and children's play area were all free to use, making it suitable for both business travelers and families. Staff members were always polite and greeted us proactively, responding quickly to any requests and providing attentive service without being intrusive throughout our stay.

We had a really comfortable stay this time, and the value for money is definitely there.

I had previously booked another Wanda hotel, the Mei Hua, for my child on the other side of Wanda, and the feedback was pretty good. So, I decided to book the Jin Hua hotel this time, as the rooms looked a bit bigger.

After booking, I called to inquire, and the hotel was very accommodating. They upgraded my room to a higher floor and extended my check-out time, which was great.

During my three-day stay, bottled water, toiletries, and other amenities were replenished generously. The housekeeping staff was very attentive; after mentioning it once, they provided three sets of towels and supplies for the subsequent days.

The hotel pool isn't huge, but it's not crowded. However, some of the facilities are not well-maintained; a few locker locks were broken, and the towels provided were worn out. I ended up bringing a hotel towel from my room to the pool. The adjacent gym is also quite large, but I didn't get a chance to visit due to time constraints.

Dining and shopping were absolutely no problem, as Wanda Plaza is right downstairs, and you can access it directly from the fifth floor. For transportation, the subway station is only about 200 meters away, and it's one of the closest hotels to Capital Airport. While it's a bit far from scenic spots like Haidian, I wasn't there for tourism this time, so the location wasn't an issue. It's definitely much better than those overpriced and subpar hotels near tourist attractions, offering excellent value for money.

Finally, when checking out, I forgot my hat. The hotel staff even mailed it back to me, which I really appreciate. Thank you very much!

Wanda Hotel Pinggu Beijing is a pleasant surprise and offers excellent value for money. The hotel appears to be nicely renovated, with modern, good-looking décor that gives the spaces a fresh and comfortable feel. Both the rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained, making for a relaxing stay.

Although Pinggu is not in central Beijing, getting around is convenient. Attractions and amenities can be reached by cab, and taxi fares are reasonable, making transportation hassle-free.

Overall, this hotel is a good choice for travellers looking for a clean, well-designed hotel at a good price point. Comfortable stay, attractive interiors, and good accessibility make it a worthwhile option in Pinggu.

We were traveling with a child in a wheelchair due to a foot injury. After communicating in advance, Yuan Qijia (Xiao Man) thoughtfully helped us arrange a room in a building that was easily accessible for wheelchairs. She also showed concern for the child's injury and, considering two families were traveling together, did her best to accommodate our needs. She patiently answered all our questions about the water park and was incredibly thorough in anticipating guests' every need. The resort has everything for dining, entertainment, and activities. The service goes beyond mere procedure; you can truly feel their genuine care for guests. It's a very reassuring choice for families with children.

Overall, the stay was decent. The staff were proactive in checking on our check-in status and were patient and detailed with all our inquiries throughout our stay. However, a few frustrating incidents dampened the experience.

Firstly, we couldn't check in upon arrival at noon. When we asked at 1:40 PM, they said the room wasn't ready, which was understandable. But at 2 PM, it still wasn't ready. They told us they would notify us once it was confirmed, asking us to wait. We sat in the lobby for half an hour, completely ignored. We had to approach the front desk ourselves to finally be told we could check in. I understand that they might be short-staffed and rooms take time to clean when it's busy, but to then just leave us unattended felt a bit unprofessional.

Secondly, and this is something I truly don't understand, my phone couldn't connect to the hotel's Wi-Fi. I called to inquire, and a staff member came to check. They then told me that Chinese-made Vivo phones couldn't connect to the hotel Wi-Fi. I'm not sure if this is actually true, but it felt like discrimination against Vivo users.

The hotel benefits included many activities, which was great. However, the efficiency was incredibly low, and queue times were extremely long. This was especially true for the Xizheng Slide and cart ride. There weren't that many people, but they claimed to be controlling numbers, with cable cars spaced out. We started queuing 15 minutes before the 9 AM opening, but by noon, we had only managed to do one activity. Most of the time was spent queuing, which was incredibly inefficient and a huge waste of time.

Finally, I have to mention that on our last day, at 6:40 AM, I received a WeChat message asking if we were satisfied with our stay. I'm not sure what the purpose of that was. Although they repeatedly apologized for the late check-in and offered drinks and fridge magnets as souvenirs, and even enthusiastically asked if we had too much luggage and needed help bringing it down, it felt like their enthusiasm came a bit too late.

Overall, the experience was good, but perhaps because it was good, I had higher expectations for it to be even better. It's definitely suitable for children under 10.

Great hotel! The room felt fresh and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay! The breakfasts were excellent, with a good menu to choose from. There's a small pool almost on the rooftop, and a gym right next to it! The location is good too; all the shops and cafes are just 2 minutes away. It's about a 30-minute drive to the city center.
