Chaozhou Hotels with Breakfast

We checked in on a rainy evening, and Wu, a very kind gentleman from the hotel, specially waited for us at Guangji Gate Tower. He met us under two ancient banyan trees. We had an 88-year-old grandpa and grandma with us, along with a wheelchair and luggage. He truly was a warm-hearted person, calmly guiding the elderly as they walked slowly. During check-in, Xu, a lovely lady at the front desk, thoughtfully made sure the elderly sat down and brought them tea, making for a smooth check-in process. Wu then went back out in the sudden rain to pick up our driver. The hotel is brand new, with excellent facilities and a superb location. The breakfast features authentic Chaozhou specialties, and the chef, a wonderful lady, was very attentive and enthusiastic. When we checked out, a kind gentleman and a tall, beautiful lady from the hotel thoughtfully escorted the two elderly guests all the way to their car, which was parked under the banyan trees by Guangji Gate Tower. In my gratitude, I didn't get their names in time, but thankfully, I managed to snap a picture of their backs as they moved, truly touched by their kindness. Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn this time really showcased the charm of a well-established hotel. We traveled with our furry friend, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating. The front desk even thoughtfully provided a special gift for our dog, which instantly made a great impression. The staff were all gentle and professional, patiently answering all our questions and proactively sharing travel tips. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and the bedding was super comfortable for a good night's sleep. As we were driving with our dog, staying here was incredibly convenient and stress-free. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Shantou.

I was very satisfied with the room; the large window offered an open view, and the facilities were quite new. It came with central air conditioning, excellent TV reception, and a comfortable king-sized bed. The in-room amenities were complete, and bottled water was unlimited. The hotel lobby was very spacious and offered self-service flower tea, where you could sit and relax. The hotel has excellent no-smoking policies, and there's a delivery robot downstairs that brings food up. Elevators require a key card for access, which feels very secure. Plus, it's quite close to the attractions.

Overall, it was quite good. The room was relatively new and very clean. The front desk staff were super enthusiastic and even prepared a list of recommended local eateries. The Aqin Beef they suggested was really good. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces, and there are charging stations available too. However, the elevators were a real pain to wait for; they're very small and often overloaded. At night, the KTVs nearby were a bit noisy, and I'm not sure if it was because of a holiday event, but the front desk helped by calling to complain and coordinating with the community to resolve it.

This stay truly exceeded my expectations, so I have to give it a big thumbs up! First off, the hotel's facilities are incredibly comprehensive and smart. The room was spacious and bright, and the mattress was soft and comfortable – lying on it instantly melted away the day's fatigue. The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation, with hot water coming out quickly and with strong pressure, making a hot shower incredibly refreshing. As for hygiene, it was absolutely impeccable. As soon as I walked in, I noticed a faint, pleasant scent – absolutely no strange odors. I specifically checked the bedsheets and duvet covers, and they were pristine white, flat, and spotless. The bathroom corners and sink were also sparkling clean. As someone with germaphobia, I felt extremely comfortable and completely at ease during my stay. Finally, I have to commend the service. Front desk attendant #8 greeted me with a constant smile, processed my check-in quickly, and even thoughtfully recommended local eateries. The housekeeping staff also warmly greeted me whenever we met and responded to my requests very promptly. In summary, both the hardware and software were faultless, and the value for money was exceptional. I will definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town!

1. Location of hotel was excellent. Nearest to 廣济门 gate. Hotel easy to find - enter Guangjimen gate and immediately turn right. You will pass by 天后宫 temple and just walk straight for another 5 mins and you will see sign post of hotel on the left side. 2. Hotel door and lobby has ”back to the past” feel and blends in well with the overall environment of Chaozhou. You can see Guangji Bridge on the roof terrace of hotel, a good spot to watch the 8pm light show though may be blocked by some trees in front if you are not particular. 3. Great welcome from host, 南姜 who was really helpful and she provided us many tips on food at Chaozhou. Our room was upgraded to a bigger one in the main hotel building at no extra cost which came as a pleasant surprise to us They have annexe buildings opposite to cater for more guests 4. Room is big in size, high ceiling and has wiindows. Single beds are comfortable with 2 pillows. Bathroom has good water pressure, antislip stone floor at shower area with laundry line. Toiletries like toothbrush, shower and hair shampoo provided 5. All restaurants and shops along Paifang Street is easy to reach by walking and usually within minutes. Use 高德地图 to navigate as Google maps dun work well here 6. When you check out, hail your Didi to pick you at 竹水门 instead as there is a waiting point. Hotel is just 5 mins walk to this gate Overall good experience in this hotel, highly recommended for it is really value for money

First off, the location is absolutely fantastic – super convenient for getting anywhere, right across from Kaiyuan Temple. It's really in the heart of everything. The breakfast is a simple affair, but I have to give a special shout-out to the lady making the noodles. My partner and I were sharing a bowl, so she specially added extra ingredients, worried we wouldn't have enough. The mini cakes were also delicious. The hotel also offers free Chaozhou performances, which was a huge bonus! You can even enjoy some tea. We were originally planning to spend over a hundred yuan to see a show, so getting this for free was amazing. You do have to go to another venue, but it's not far at all, and you can even visit another attraction on the way. The performance included Chaozhou opera, lion dance, and Yingge dance. The young performers were incredible!

Facilities: Excellent and very new. Cleanliness: Spotless! I even told the cleaning staff it was clean enough, but she clearly has incredibly high standards for herself. Ambiance: Very pleasant, a quiet oasis tucked away in a bustling neighborhood. Service: I was quite annoyed with the room key issue. We were staying for consecutive nights, and after a tiring evening exploring the night market, we returned to our room on the sixth floor only to find the key card wasn't working. I sent my child to the front desk to get it reactivated. She came back saying it was fixed, but it still didn't work. I then had to go down *with* my child myself to the front desk to ensure it was properly reactivated before making another trek back up. It was genuinely exhausting. Suggestion: It's quite inconvenient to have to reactivate the room key at the front desk when extending a stay. Most hotels allow guests to simply continue using their existing key without this extra step. I hope this process can be improved, especially given how busy the elevators already are.

The front desk service was incredibly warm and efficient, making check-in a breeze. The staff were thoughtful and responsible, always quick to respond to any requests, and even helped us arrange快递 (express delivery), which was a huge relief. The room was clean, and all the toiletries were complimentary. It was really considerate that we could contact the front desk 24/7 for anything we needed.
